I have made betty crocker cakes before and used the frosting. I usually just put jam in the centre of the cake and use the frosting to decorate the top and sides. Serve with squirty cream. Delicious. I definitely want to try using cans of drink next time. Thanks for sharing.

Have you thought about getting your fruit and veg from oddbox, they are super cheap and lasts my household soooo long as seems to stay fresher longer than supermarket, just thought I would say because of you saying about saving money and fruit and veg lasting longer x

I can explain why the chocolate didn't work. It's actually the sugar content. Chocolate cakes have more sugar in them so they stick to the pan more. Which is why greasing the pan with any kind of oil will work but plant based butter works well

I didn't watch the whole video but I heard you say soda what about using seltzer water instead which is not so sweet because another UA-camr used the coke Cola and it said it was Triple sweet so you don't want all that sweetness either so I might even try the use the seltzer water myself but I was hoping another UA-camr can do it first so I can watch but yeah I am sure if you used Coca-Cola in this act that it is mad sweet maybe 100gm of sugar not good

I saw this recipe on Cheap Lazy Vegan, and tried it. I'm gonna stick to the recipe I've liked for awhile now, though. The adding of soda only... while the taste is good enough, it becomes too crumbly. I'd be embarrassed to serve it to people, so I just ate sorry plates of it by myself. Lol!

Can I do the soda, eggs, butter, and milk with the cake mix ?

Use some parchment paper cut in a circle at the bottom of your tin cake ( you can find online how to cut them to size it's easy) and butter the paper and the edges of you tin cake too. And I would recommend a crème pâtissière ( very easy to do 😉) for the inside layer with some fruit cut in thin slices ( it's nice and fresh) , if you want to fancy you add some homemade whipped cream to the crème pâtissière and ...🎩magic ... Crème diplomate ! (Recipe online not hard and my God it's delicious 😋😋😋) And you do know your icing can be placed in microwave for a bit then use on the top of your cake, but I would put the cake in the freezer for 2 to 3 hours before doing that IF you plan to put some cream inside then cool it down again to make it set. PS : offset spatula are cheap and SO practical , treat yourself ... Plus a wire rack and turntable.

Use a warm knife to spread the icing or buttercream next time!

You seem lovely and I hope you have inspired some non-vegans. Maybe consider using vegan and cruelty free household products. Most that you have purchased are tested on animals which is so sad. M&S do a range, smol (who deliver) and co-op also do vegan and cruelty free laundry and cleaning products. Please note, I am not meaning to criticise, just a suggestion to make your haul truly vegan rather than plant-based. Peace. ✌🏻

I would love you to share some info about your Doctor or nutritionist on how you balance their diets.

This to me is defeats the purpose of why I’m plant based, so I could avoid all the excess packaging and eat more vegetables. The meals are very unimaginative and have lots of meat replacements. For a plant based diet, so little plants. Very first world and picture perfect. “Ensue hate from vegan mums”

Great video 🙂 I've used the cream soda, and I tried the plain fizzy water, both work really well 🙂 I didn't like coke because it makes the cake taste of coke, maybe that's just me 😅 Another tip is, if you whip up the icing before decorating it goes a bit further 🙂
