I am in a process of taking two perfectly good running trucks to make one perfect truck, 1970 dodge d200 sweptline with 318 but is now getting a 1992 d350 frame and powered by a 12v cummins with a VE pump spooling a 2003 6.0 powerstroke turbo

project Frankenstein is getting a full frame and motor swap, so instead of the 1970 d200 318/5.2 it will be replaced with a 1990 12v cummins/5.9 along with an upgraded frame and suspension

Could you give me a run down on your fuel regulator? Where did you find the banjo fittings? How well does it work?

Funny how those VE pumps fire before a single rotation. Just finished my p-pump swapped 88 and theg take a bit more.

wouldn't a audio control potentiometer work better then you could vary the voltage would be better then just 12 volt closed and 0 volt open? My thought was to get a a pwm controller and a vacuum turbo actuator set it up to turn the potentiometer on the pwm controller so the boost would be controlled like the older vnt turbos moreless converting anolog to digital control. I wish I didn't love the dam 03 6.0 turbo sound so much I spent to much money on the dam turbo to not use it now I bought mine when fleece made there controller I bought a brand new one sent it off had it machined and fully ceramic coated inside and out and rebuilt with the better KC turbos 360 bearing kit about $3700 till it was done then fleece pulled there controller off the market I was a bit pissed I then tried to buy a banshee controller to find he sold out to ATS diesel and they scraped it also
I don't even know what to say. I am usually a stickler for cross breeding but am actually very impressed to the point of wanting to try this myself. Wow. Talk about ingenuity. I can't help but laugh at the homemade dash with no speedo and the lack of intercooler. I say that with all due respect. I admire your square body Ram and loved this build brother. I don’t have the vgt wired up but rn the turbo is wide open and soon I’ll be hooking up my egt gauge to see what it reads
What turbo? Stock?
The turbo came out of a 2003 6.0 powerstroke with the vgt taken out of it.
@@dannersweldingandfabricationoh sweet? I’ve got a few questions, because you took the egt off does that mean you can hear it release the boost and make turbo flutter? And also does the turbo just stay wide open now allowing it to build more boost but take longer? Thanks!
@@assassin9344 i took the vgt out only because i didn’t have anything to control the vgt on the turbo so by take it out it just makes the turbo a big turbo cause the vgt controls how much boost is imputed into the motor, and yes you do get a a little bit of a flutter but not much

Are the vanes on the turbo just wired to stay open when you turn it on and when you "turn it off" does the truck drive just like it did with the h1c or when you turn the vanes off does the turbo turn kinda off and egt get high?
Very impressive, I have a 6.0 powerstroke with a titan 9 blade turbo. When I sell the truck I’m gonna keep the turbo and put it on a 12 valve. I believe a 12 valve with 9 blade vgt turbo may break the internet
Tried this today i cant clock turbo where it connects to the manifold and crossovers to the intake manifold
Curious to know what your egts are after installing the 6.0 turbo with no intercooler.

Hey what size is the v band on the turbo that is goes to the manifold or the adapter you used if you bought it, I’m looking to do this swap on a 24v
So how long is it going to take to finish the pick up truck to complete

I just got done doing this swap....it doesn't work worth a shit ....no turbo whistle only sounds like a shop vac makes 15 psi with the switch on but at 15psi the turbo flutters and truck pours black smoke egts skyrocket and truck won't accelerate at all .......no idea?

Yes vgt are made for towing

that is a fuel regulator cause I have an electric fuel pump that was supposed to be for a 5.9 v8 but someone converted it to a Cummins and the they put the fuel regulator on it to turn down the pump pressure
