Wonderful craftsmanship. What is the purpose of the material you glued to headstock and then the veneer? Love watching the build.
Thank you! These are several 0.5mm veneer sheets and then a 2mm rosewood piece. They cover the gluing area and also look nice from the side.

Any tips on getting those mitered corners? Looks like you've got a little jig to guide the plane, but I've never seen one like that before!
I used as a guide a simple piece of wood, sawn and planed at an 45° angle. The whole secret is to constantly check the angle using a protractor

When you see the flex in the soundboard and how thin it is you realize how fragile these guitars really are. It's just amazing that so many have survived from sooooo long ago.

Can classical guitar be use in flamenco?
Yes, a classical guitar is enough for learning. But if you have a high level, then it is better to have a flamenco guitar. It differs from the classical guitar in its shorter sustain, extremely fast attack, etc.

Fantastic video, congratulations! What neck angle do you recommend for classical and for flamenco (to be set in the solera) . Would 2mm and 1mm sound correct?
Thank you! On this guitar I have 3mm, on the other 1.5mm, and so on. It depends on whether there is a dome on the top and what kind of dome it is. It would be better to draw a diagram and calculate this angle yourself

La segunda, los laterales y el trasero es madera de palosanto o madera ovangkol quisiera saber si laminada o maciza. Tercera el mastil que madera usas, cuarta pregunta es si el diapason y el puente es de palosanto y la ultima, cuantas horas tardo en fabricar la guitarra y cuanto seria su precio. Saludos. Congratulations for using the Spanish artisanal manufacturing system. Some questions. The first one is the lid, it is solid cedar I suppose. The second, the sides and the back, is rosewood or ovangkol wood. I would like to know if it is laminated or solid. Third, the neck, what wood do you use, fourth question is if the fingerboard and bridge are made of rosewood and the last one, how many hours did it take to make the guitar and how much would its price be? Thank you 👍 The top is solid spruce, the sides and back are solid Indian rosewood, the neck is spanish cedar, the fingerboard is ebony, the bridge is Indian rosewood. I work very slowly because I have to combine raising my daughter, work, housework, etc., so it takes me about 150 hours, but I have never counted exactly. Usually this is 4-6 months. The body is solid Indian rosewood, very important for a good sound of course together with the spruce top. I put the Ovangkol option because I understand it is very similar to rosewood. Spanish cedar neck, very good choice of wood for the neck, I think, one of the best for the neck of classical guitars. The ebony fingerboard, typical of high end guitars. Very good woods and materials and good work as a luthier. Congratulations for the good work and for working the Spanish heel, the best and most reliable union of the body of the guitar to the neck. Your price is in accordance with the woods used and the work done. Thank you for your reply. Best regards La tapa es de abeto macizo, creia que era cedro macizo. Me imagino que sera abeto alemán. El cuerpo es de palosanto de la India macizo, muy importante para un buen sonido por supuesto junto a la tapa de abeto. Puse la opcion del Ovangkol porque tengo entendido que es muy similar al palosanto. El mastil de cedro español, muy buena eleccion de la madera para el mastil, creo, que una de las mejores para el mastil de guitarras clasicas. El diapason de ebano, tipico de guitarras de gama alta. Muy buenas maderas y materiales y buen trabajo como luthier. Reciba mi enhorabuena por el buen trabajo y por trabajar el tacon español, la mejor y mas fiable union del cuerpo de la guitarra al mastil.
