I am into 4th week of TKD training, and I am feeling so happy for this guy. I have had a disc bulge at L4-L5 and due to which I have a very tight glute and hamstring and I am struggling so much with stretching and forward bending.
Ain’t gonna lie he posted a video literally a year earlier for his yellow belt and only 1 year later he gets to red belt. It’s either a really confusing belt system or they don’t have a standard curriculum or training.
Congratulations on your promotion. I read all the comments below and although I can agree with many statements, I tell you to ignore any comments that are mean and nitpicky. You do you and enjoy every moment of it. Who cares what their school does, who cares what their standards are. The only standards you need to meet are the ones you set for yourself. Again, I say congrats on your Brown Belt in TKD.
fantastic. I have to say I see much improvement from your first test to now. I have the benefit of being able to watch them one after the other. It is wonderful to see you clearly have taken your training serious and have spent much time to improving yourself and gaining all the experience you have while doing so.
first comment about comments. I didn't read a bunch, but I never did see the ones that were supposed to be talking smack. Anyway, nothing wrong with this student and his performance. It is white going to yellow, I have seen black belt tests worse than this. This gentleman did very well. Congratulations of your promotion, and the many which will follow.
I’m 32 and I just recently join back martial art after 10 years. What I have learn is it’s never too late to do anything what you love to do if you do it correctly
That was 10 years ago…I wonder how far he went with his practice. I just started last week and I’m far from where I want to be. I practice yoga almost daily and I thought I was pretty flexible but the flexibility you need for TKD takes it on a whole new level.
You can tell he was ready for this belt. He did pretty well for a white belt. It’s interesting how different schools and instructors do tests differently… and how different curriculum can be even within the same style. However, he showed proper respect and good effort and was able to perform his techniques set and form without major mistakes… I would have certified him as well. Hope he sticks with it over the years, and looks back on this early video when he becomes a Black Belt and sees such a huge improvement. Good for him.
I respect the student who wants to Be better physically, while learning to protect himself. You work together as a team to help each other to develop through learning forms, one step fighting, and free fighting techniques, or sparring. You learn honor and respect of each other.
This was one of the first schools that i've seen that was similar to my school's program. They went way harder on testing for white belt than we do though. I didn't read down to far to see negative comments, but keep in mind that he is a beginner and a teenager. You still need to keep the program approachable for younger kids as well as older adults like myself. I am not in great shape, but I try hard when I am there. I am in the last ranks (we call Bo Dan) prior to testing for Black Belt. If I had to live up to everyone else's expectations I wouldn't still be in the program. I wish I had stayed with it in my 20s when I was a blue belt and had way more energy, but now I do the best I can to be a TKD practitioner.
How do you know what has happened to him and what journey he has gone through. Maybe he was five years in coma or he suffers kidney or heart problems, for instance. So don't make joke about people you fucking idiots. I'm proud of his courage and I'm sure in these years he has got what he wants. And you haters gonna hate anyway.
Bad ass cast me bro love u gays and gals

I'm 46 and I'm definitely about to sign up💪🏾 I wonder where this kid is now. I know he's bad ass 🥰🫰🏾💪🏾

I used to do tournaments in the late 80's and early 90's for the USKK and PKC, can remember those all-day events. Congrats on your wins.

I'm self taught in taekwondo, I train for one year and I'm thinking to do a summer camp in order to get a belt. How much time does it usually take?
Well done buddy! Keep it going.

"That's not what I call situps, nor pushups. this is a dojo. no playground. You failed!" my senai would have screamed.

I’m about to do my yellow belt and this was refreshing ;)

I’m a white belt and I’m studying for my yellow belt
The lower the grade is the less right you have to give criticism. He did ok overall
The way push-ups are done is actually funny 😑
Great effort from the young man. Personally I don’t condone destruction as part is a white belt grading but good on him for having a go.
Street bro should've just taken it to the ground
I like this guy's CONTROL when he does the Form/Hyung/Poomsae! EXCEPTIONAL for a White Belt!
Hi I am Krishna saai like you I am in yellow built but never say that I can't do it then you can't do anything
Im sure his a black belt snd even stronger now
This was amazing, inspirational
Punching boards in Tkd? No sparring?

Respecting the sensei
