Hi another rare comtoise striking mechanism. This time it is a clock from about 1810. This type of mechanism is sometimes seen on comtoise clock from about 1800 to 1820. Enjoy

Well this is something different. The whole system is mounted to the front plate, nothing in between the plates. Excuse the cat for interfering :)

Comtoise clock from about 1790. The dial hss a Spanish signature. Everything about this comtoise is different. The striking system is for the kargest part constructed on the front left plate. In the other video you will see how the hammer is activated.

How the alarm functions on a Comtoise of ca. 1760. It surely makes a lot of noise. The purpose was to wake the whole house.

Hi Emmette. sorry for my late reaction. Yes this is a fine example of a 18th century clock, a testinomy of the great skills of the French watchmakers. I know were to get the parts.
