I'm enjoying this list of the top 10ish ships in Star Citizen. One thing that bugs me about the Drake Caterpillar is it doesn't follow the naming convention of any other Drake ship LOL. It should have been like the Drake Booty or the Drake Swag or something.

My reclaimer is named the “Brostromo”. 😂 First time my friends came aboard they found me laying prone on the galley table with a Pico on my stomach (our ships chest burster). They died laughing. And I consistently rebuy the 325a when I want a new ship to start a chain with. I figure if I’m going to have a little ship I am gonna trade in eventually it may as well be one that’s fun to fly.

The best ship in Star Citizen is which ever ship is currently on sale from CIG. Then it's nerfed once the next sale starts. CIG has no shame.

Like you I‘m also a big enjoyer of the Space-B1 and Space-B2 (Retaliator and Eclipse). Back in the day I‘ve used the Eclipse to solo farm ERTs, because the Hammerhead was a oneshot kill for the Typhoon Torpedoes. It wasn’t cheap on the long run though but fun. I‘m also a big fan of the Retaliator for multiple reasons. The Retaliator was the first ship in SC that gave me the actual feeling to fly a bomber but the most priceless experience for me in Retaliator is to keep an eye on the torpedo magazine.

I have the 325a and you hit the nail on the head. It's fast, has decent firepower, and is always a beautiful sight to see. Just walking around in the little guy gives me more joy than blowing up an enemy ship, and since they fixed the missiles I've just enjoyed it more. It's a great daily driver and works really well in a fleet. It's got all the storage I could want for personal items, with a locker, two gun holders, and a small external cargo bay.

I literally built a PC just to play this game, also purchased Alpha prime and mc3 throttle unfortunately I didn't order the base for the Joystick lol for what I understand so far the power triangle is essential for performance and only when they are at 100% that you get the benefits so why not put the weapon triangle modifier in scroll wheel so you can only use it when you fire, you have so many options for missile control, In my set up I'm trying to bind all maneuverability with Prime and all engine and other functions on throttle

Lol listened to this 25 min vid like a baby listens to it's mum singing it to sleep. . Literally agree with almost everything, so many ships are the same as me. And then we get to the end and here comes the Tally my fav ship and one of the first I picked up as an upgrade just because - well look at it. 2 x cargo modules and the yellow cargo paint and - mmm Chef kiss. I also love my Vanguard Harbinger Aka mini tally.

What ship is the best? No idea, it’s been 6 days since I’ve been able to retrieve a ship in my hangar thanks to the garbage 3.24 patch.

Unfortunately, the 325a and other 300 customizations are bugged right now :-( - with a customization, the ship repair cost is always 63k aUEC. And it never is repaired, although paid for. There is an issue open on issue council since Mai to fix it...

here is no better ship. it all depends on the role, the number of players, the cash, the playing time, the importance we give to profitability.... a 300i can be better than an Idris and a Hull A better than a Hull C or a mole. another parameter is fun: the best ship is the one you have fun with

This is the decade old question . I believe it depends on what you want to do. As in life you have to qualify from scratch getting a license . Here you don’t . Those joined in the beginning has to deal with what’s available . With time new ships got better . So to really answer the question I’d say all ships are great. If your new start with small in the category you want to enter and enjoy it before switching you will find the change more satisfying . It’s the way of life . SC is not different . It’s enjoyable, it’s fun, it’s adventure and it will always be a suspense till the end of our days

Few videos understand where star citizen is as a game and what the project is asking from its players base . 1. Spend less than 100 and a year around project 2. Choose one or two ships that you’ll pigeon hole your account around 3. Over next two-four years replace chain with warbond ccus until you have your 1-2 ships (one starter too) for under 500 dollars (almost) . 4 resist following project until you hate it / super bored

The reclaimer is one of the finest looking ships in sci-fi. If the 32 SCU containers could fit in the elevator/storage areas easily, I'd give it a 10/10.

I think it's CRIMINAL that they released 3.24 live with Personal Hangars/decorations WITHOUT Pledge Item Recovery. The same recovery we were SUPPOSED to have with 3.18.0. CIG clearly doesn't care about this feature as they've been kicking that can down the road for over a YEAR.

The sleekest, sexiest ship ever made in ANY game is the Sabre Raven. We just need CIG to give Intel the middle-finger. They're at least trying with the variants: Firebird & Peregrine, but they're still not the Raven.
