This channel is part of an evolving passion project. My move to Milwaukee in 2021 came after the loss of a home in New Mexico when the well went dry. That trauma informed the decision to head towards the largest collection of fresh water reservoirs on the planet--The Great Lakes.
While photographing Lake Michigan and Lake Superior, I stumbled upon a totally unexpected world just below the ice and then under the open water. I'm enthralled with this realm and want to share what I'm seeing. It is unbelievably magical.

Even though I know they're made to withstand it, I cringe every time I stick a GoPro underwater... I'm glad someone's got the mental toughness for it 😂 Cool footage, and I thought the musical choice was fitting 👍
The GoPro is a tiny beast 🙂 Pretty sure it'll keep on ticking until I drop it into the drink and it becomes an offering to the spirits of Lake Michigan.

Did you have to drive up there or hike up from level ground? I can't find much info on these beautiful mountains! We'd be hiking in. My car is a front wheel drive SUV, but as far as I saw, there shouldn't be an issue. How did you find the trail? All I can find are OHV trails.

Love the Halo bags... Ultralight and packs sooooooo small. 21 degree nights with fleece on, I was warm as could be. Besides my tiny breathing hole that is...lol
