A bit of trivia which I think might relate to that first mini that you showed us from Thybo Hand Dyed, the dark purple-red yarn. Cardinals in the Catholic Church wear a red color, but they are spoken of as being "raised to the purple". Why is that? Why purple if their vestments are red? One explanation is that the original dye used for Cardinals' red vestments came from the shells of small crustacians living in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the west coast of Italy. This purple-red dye was called "Tyrrhenian Purple" even though the color leaned more to what we think of as red today. So that is where "raised to the purple" is thought to come from.
