My Day Will Come - YEBBA & James Francies Cover

Many of us are depressed, jaded, and numb from the turmoil of the outer world. Our places of safety have been ripped from us, our jobs have been deemed non-essential, and our breath - the perpetual essence of life - imposes a potentially fatal risk on those we share it with. I’ve been listening, singing, and healing through this song almost religiously for the past 2 years, and it has served a ...

@Sarah, You are now part of my small list of artists that interest me. But sorry it won't change anything :) Curious and eager to listen to other pieces of music. Very beautiful song that was able to reach my sensitive space. Wish you the best.

Wooow covering yebba is a huuuge task but you sure slaayed this!! Stunning!! 🤯😱
So beautiful! I want to do this for my end of year recital in Australia, where did you find the chords?
i learned it by ear!
Great!
One of the most cathartic performances I've witnessed, and to my favorite song of the past decade. You are a brilliant light in this world!
@Sarah. Thank you for sharing this treasure 🙏 It is a master piece for my ears, brain, and soul. Never forget the waves of emotion you can raise and spread. Now, I 've got one more island to refuge in. Hats off @Sarah
This Song feels like a prayer ❤❤
beautiful
where did you get the sheet music for this?? amazing arrangement
You got so much strength in your voice, punctuation is world-class. This performance is beautiful, thank you for this! The song is extremely hard to perform because Yebba set the bar so damn high (I've attempted it and my voice falls far short lol) . In a way it seems like the song has you in its thrall, like it's performing through you. A rare moment for sure, usually covers don't go this hard. The song is quite important to me, it's helping me through some shit right now. Thank you for giving it the honor it deserves.
aw, what a kind comment... i'm so glad to hear that it resonated with you and hope that it brings you healing on some level. it sure did for me. take care ~

such a beautiful song and beautiful voice 😢❤❤❤❤
Hidden Heart Funny how we shrink ourselves to feel safe but within these very walls we suffocate i need to breathe, send some water to these roots holding the space that's inside me, ooh come cut me open, well i'm here come cut me open, well i'm here come cut me open, well i'm here come cut me open, i'm here broken open, leaning into the light on courage shining through a chest you hold my cry on i need a witness to see me through the dark tracing the edges of this hidden heart come cut me open, well i'm here come cut me open, well i'm here come cut me open, well i'm here come cut me open, i'm here
Cool❤
❤

Amazing performance!
HOLY OPENNESS
Wow!!! I have the goose thumbs😊it's so beautiful!! I bumped into this song while watching the voice and the girl from Norway singing it and I fell in love, but your version is AMAZING!!! so touching! I wish you to continue to show your voice because you are very talented!! I would like to sing with you in duet!!🤗and is it possible to find the piano sheets?
Love you.
Hello Sarah. I love your cover. I play piano and guitar. Can you please post the piano sheet music or chords that you play. I know the chords -- I'm stuck on a particular progression. Thank you. Please keep posting videos of your beautiful voice and piano playing. Cheers!
Hey, thanks! I learned this by ear, but let me know which spot you're having trouble with and I can write the chords here
Hi Sarah. Thank you! It's the part when Yebba sings: "Mississippi River" to "Just like that" to "And I know" to "Come crashing down." Thanks again! You are so nice to do this... and you have a beautiful soul. Bye for now!
@@oliverdavidson8198 What I played was: Mississippi river: D G D G Just like that: D E7 Gm And I know: D D7 G Gm Come crashing down: D G D James Francies played D G F D for most of the song, but I didn't include the F chord here for whatever reason. Hope this helps! The piano voicings are influenced by jazz because I'm a jazz musician, so there might be some other extensions in there (7/9).
