3.0 where I'm at
3.5-3.7 keep your head down on all your shots, get slower with a squat and try aligning your shoulders to your target when hitting drives, you’re hitting a lot of flat push drives with no spin, you gotta brush the ball rather than hitting so up on the ball. Also try using your two handed backhand on offense the same way you hit your returns. Hitting backspin backhands has no offense and targeting your backhand makes it to easy to beat you. I think getting better footwork and doing tennis footwork drills would be best right now You’ve got good kitchen defense and returns for your level!
This is the best comment and feedback I’ve gotten! Thank you so much, will work on this 📝!
Thanks for sharing, helpful reference!

What court is this? I live in seattle
@@cospitoj8562 this is at the drop in Tacoma!!
3.0 guys. Rallies arent lasting more than a few hits. Inconsistent drives, returns and no dropping.
valid observation and appreciate, not gonna lie, we were super inconsistent this game, check out my other videos! 🤙🏾
I need to move there. I would be a 5.0 there!
Rating varies by region! Would be awesome to check out your gameplay!!!
Barely 3.5 skill level
Appreciate your analysis, would love to check out your game play!
What strategy was used? 😂
White hat sandbagging
😂 Thanks for watching! 🤙🏾
Is the strategy in the room with us?
lol thanks for watching!
Id say 4.0 not 3.0
And you would be wrong lol.
No, I'm not. Their drives and drops alone make them in my opinion 4.0 players. 3.0 is basically a beginner. These guys aren't beginners. Use a little bit of logic bud. @TheNamesMoose30
Logic tells me that they can't drive the ball without popping it 3ft above the net. Logic tells me their drops are not consistent enough to get to the kitchen. Logic tells me that each point ends within 7-9 shots, logic tells me they had way too many serve and return errors to be considered 4.0 Maybe this was their first game, maybe my area has a higher caliber of players, but logic points to all these guys being 3.5 with a likelyhood of them being 3.75 after warmup. That extra decimal makes a difference, forgot to include that. 3.0 is indeed beginner level. But these guys ain't 4.0
This is at The Drop in Tacoma? I’m flying up today, 1.7.25 and I’ll be playing tonight from 8-11 and I’d love to get a game with you! I’ll be the guy playing with a Bread & Butter Invader paddle!
@@mxpxman31 yes this is at the Drop in Tacoma! Aww unfortunately I won’t be available, you’ll have fun! Great folks there!
Nice overhead!
I’m rated 3.19 but I’ve been losing at 3.0 mlp. Some people have said I’m sandbagging but 3.0 in Oklahoma is really 3.5 in skill. I can definitely play well with these 3.5 guys. The dupr rating is not accurate
@@taekim7002 appreciate your comment and watching! It would be awesome if you can post some of your games! Would be interested to check it out and see the different skill levels by region. DUPR can be skewed by region. 4.0 in a smaller town would be a 3.0 in a denser area. Check out my most recent gameplay!
I don't see any pickles.

Thank you for taking the time to watch and share your feedback! I didn’t notice that before, so I appreciate you pointing it out. Hope you a have great day and check out my other videos!
hahahahah
Would not consider you guys bangers. I think I'm at a similar stage in my game, I play a lot with friends and Open play but really confused at what level tournament I would join. I think with the progression of the game, putting away the ball is key. I have the same mentality about the banging but keeping the ball live for the sake of "Not being a banger" also didn't make sense to me when I could easily put it away for a point. Also want to start joining tournaments but not sure what level. Thanks for the video, the commentary helped a bunch.
Thank you for the comment and appreciate you watching! My mentality now, open play vs tournament is a different beast. The game now is evolving so fast. If “banging” away works during tournament play, keep doing it until it doesn’t work lol! Check out my recent gameplay, it is different today compared to back then. Try out a tournament you think you are at and test the waters. If you can win games then you are around at that level or at least keep it competitive. If you medal, you are definitely at that level! 🤙🏾
Nice point

If you want to have some fun make your 3rd shot return an OFFENSIVE lob!!

3.0 players but all have potential.
Thanks for the comment and appreciate your analysis! 3.0? I don’t see 3.0s in my area getting up to the kitchen line as much and resetting the ball like these guys. Possibly in your area this is 3.0!
@@Alliver_pickleball dude just a saltyboi, i agree with you, 3.0s can rarely get into the kitchen let alone get a rally going.

maybe even 3.5 for what ever reason you drop on the sides instead of middle
@@teeqz_raiderfn noted, I’ll drop more to the middle! Thanks!

What exactly are they doing that puts them at the 4.0 level?
Thanks for the comment and watching! Ratings are subjective and depends on regions. I think it is 4.0 + because their ability to reset the ball and dink more than lower levels, establish themselves at the kitchen line consistently, more advanced shot selections and strategies - once in a while /not seen in 3.5 and below levels. We’ve all competed dupr rated matches with similar levels typically organized play / tournaments that created a dupr rating. Based on DUPR we are 4.0 +

who is saying that this is 3.0-3.5 smh. haters
@@PickleShooters you know you get those comments in yours too Lol I’m getting blasted in my full game videos, “not 4.0, you’re making too many errors” hahaha
@ all the time loll. i understand you bro
This is 4.0 in terms of how they are trying to play but the execution is definitely not 4.0. I believe the execution should be more consistent at the 4.0 level. I would say the level is 3.5 which I define as understanding strategy but not able to execute the strategy consistently. You want to argue 3.8 or 3.9, go ahead. I find it simpler to define play at 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0. I'm not going to argue what level anyone is within those ranges. It just makes it simpler for me to assess player levels.
Appreciate you for watching and providing feedback. All your points are valid! 🤙🏾 DUPR ratings varies by region, it is what it is. If you can share a video of true 4.0s it would be great! I’m open to learning from them.
from my 10 years of play, I find that true consistency comes in at 4.5. 4.0 players tend to have low hit rallies of 5-6 with an occasional blip of putting it together consistently for more. To go for 4.5 to 5.0 you have to be more then sound and consistent. You need some athleticism and weapons to turn shots that lower level pass of into some kind of offense or get you back in the rally.

Do you like the Vietnamese song "pickleball".
In my area maybe 3.5, it's wild how different duprs are in various regions.
Same. In Vietnam this would be 3-3.5 😬
Appreciate the comment! In my area, I don’t see 3.0s-3.5s resetting the ball as much with intention, dinking as much, going for Ernes, using much drops, constructing points like these guys. Valid statement from your perspective.
@@PlayVoledang, 3.0 - 3.5!? It is super competitive in that area then! That’s cool though, valid statement from your perspective. Appreciate you watching.

3.5 play
Thanks for watching and your analysis! I don’t see much 3.5 play in my area going for Ernes, stacking, drops, consistently reaching the kitchen, initiate dinking, and cross court dinks. Possibly in your area 3.5s play this is true!
Great resetting. Definitely better than 3.5

this court sucks, there is no space on the sides for angled shots. no tennis court would do this.
