What are the widest tyers you can fit on this?
Gotta love the classics! I just got my frame set in today and am looking forward to the weekend to build it up!
As there was no rubber tubes used in the wheels, the necessary shock-absorbers in this bicycle were really ingenuous !
Nice bike mate. Do you ever want for more gears?
Yes i don't ride this everywhere i have other geared bikes.
I couldn't agree more, & BTW very nice looking bike, tell us about the frame Mark. 2004-2008, the 7800 & 6600 are the best there was, but don't overlook its predecessor either, the 9spd 7700 & 6500 either, its excellent. I run both. I don't have a car, instead I choose a very fine collection of bicycles.
There is another video on the frame.
Where's the handlebar and brake levers from?
Handlebar is from Quella & brake levers are Teckro.
100 hp was a lot in those days. Like 800 hp today.
I have three goldfish as well i got them as baby's when they were like a inch long for 36cents each now there the size of yours if not bigger there really easy to take care of I've had mine about 3 to 4 years
What kind of plants do you have in your tank
Lovely tank
There's a post on Facebook, with a picture of her on a 3 speed mercian? 'apparently' that's the bike she did the record on, according to some on there?
MTB👍🤪
👍
They need minimum 300 litre tank
I give you an incentive registration, wish you success ❤😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The year was 1972 ,in the bike shed of my school. one of the bigger boys offered me his Freddie Grub racer for the price of £5 . Excellent condition and I wanted it so bad I could taste it !! My Dad would not give me the money to buy it . Hated him forever ! I knew at that tender age of 11 years old it was a bargain . . Thanks Dad , Thanks a bunch !
Just got myself a ragley frame (secondhand), going to be putting mine together over the next few weeks 😊 can't wait to get riding! Managed to get all the trick bits(wheels, gears, brakes) from my son who works for sram🥳 so no expense spared😏😁😎👍
I brought one of these beautiful Coopers a few years ago. Unfortunately got written off by a BMW that didn't f**kin stop! With the payoff I brought a beautiful Classic Cooper Sport & I adore her. Classic Coopers💚 gotta luv em.
Not only do I like yr groupset, also enjoy yr accent. Lovely bicycle indeed. Greetings from Melbourne, in the big brown country, down under.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩😛😛😛😛😛😛
Hi Mark, beautiful Bicycle!!!!!.....What frame size is it?
Lovely bike, better than the modern plastic rubbish with disc brakes.
That Grifter aint from 1976, its a Grifter Mk2.
I'm still riding on a full 7800 group, on my steel race bike. 53x39, with a 12-25 10 speed cassette. Still using Look Delta pedals on all my bikes. I love the chainrings on the 7800 cranks.
nice job sir 👍🤠 God bless you 🙏 from phillippines
NOS 46 and 50t rings are available, got 2 bikes with 50 and 2 with 46
I love that color - especially with the brown seat and bar tape.
Good looking bike, cheers mate
Would you get 38mm tyres in there?
I think the cover on the front mech is meant to be purely cosmetic, but I could be wrong. Nice bike! I've not long got a Fairlight Strael v3 and am enjoying my first steel bike since boyhood. Rides just as good as my carbon Focus Paralane.
weight?
11.5kg but you don't really notice its a bit heavy after a while.
That is the 1904 Mark Mayhew K5. Different radiator to 1903 K5, and this particular car has pushrod operated ohv.
It was the one from the Dutch museum.
Other videos of the car say its from 1903.
@@markhancock7527 it's not the car driven by Edge. That's my point.
@@brianosborne9446 Edge drove it in 1903.
When i look at photos of Edge in the 1903 car it looks similar to this one.In 1904 Napier had 5 cars in the race this car was raced by mayhew in 1904.But did Edge race it in 1903?
Really beautiful bike! 👍
Thanks.
Great video, thanks 😊
I have no idea what I'm seeing in this video. Utterly Dalí-esque
Brilliant! I think I saw and filmed this car at the St James's International Concours. I believe this it the reason we have the colour: British Racing Green.
Yes that's true they painted the cars Green because the 1903 race was in Ireland i believe the French already had Blue,& the Germans white for sure,so Napier chose Green.I think this car had nearer 50hp not 80hp but by 1904 Napier had a 6 cylinder car which could do over a 100 mph.
I rode this version at the brick lane store - I'm in love. Steel is real!
Nice bike mate!
Hi, I was just wondering where is that waterfall locted at 0.46 secs in? I have seen the one in Grove Park and it is obviously different. I've been trying to figure out for some time if another waterfall existed there, and this is the first time I have seen some evidence for that fact.
Its near the High street.Near overflowed into the high st that year.
@@markhancock7527 thank you, I am not from the area, which High Street and which park is it nearest to just to clarifiy. I will go back and visit again perhaps tomorrow.
Its bewteen Carshalton high st & Carshalton park its all part of the old canal that joins the wandle in grove park.
@@markhancock7527 thank you for your reply. I look forward to seeing it. Hope it will be ok going at this time of the year.
Art of beauty 😍
Confirm. I’ve been owning one a week now and can confirm it is a very appealing bike both by the look and ride quality 👌
cool bike but allot of work to get collapsed
Not really you can do it in about 3 minutes.
Please keep posting, I've been eyeing the bike for a while now. Looking forward to test ride it sometimes hopefully
Will do I'm hopeful of being fit to ride it again in two weeks.
Is this bike is good for a 5 feet tall person?!.please reply sir 🙏
@@tithisarkar9596 The website says 5ft 3inches but i would give them a call to see what they can do.
@@tithisarkar9596 I've just had a look at the website Temple do a small frame to fit someone 4ft 10 inches in what they call the step through Tour its a steel frame with a triple crankset ideal for you & its less than £1400.
Looking forward to the flowers. Good luck!
Giuseppe Marzotto designed the gm speedway motor. they are made in italy, not UK.
Thanks didn't know that.
How strong are the tyres? Thinking of glass/debris and Liverpool potholes
They should be good on any surfaces bit slow on the road but bomb proof.
Nice frame , how did you choose the colour and what is it called ?
I wanted a colour similar to the McLaren supercar, you can give varonha frameworks a call they sprayed the frame but i think its called sunburst orange.
Hi Mark! After nine years +/- how do you like you Moulton? Have you moved to something else? Just wondering. Thanks
I have sold it to buy a Gravel bike but i did enjoy riding it over the year i had it.
It's a missile I know fuh sure roughly how much was the overall price with these upgrades?
Colour was £200,Wheels £500,kapz stuff £100,Thompson seatpost £80,saddle £30.list price was £1695 in 2014.So say about £2500.
Nice ride, thanks for running us through the build and your reasons for colour etc. Nice 👌
Thanks Andy my friend rode the bike across Richmond park i took the Paris which he was riding he even said it was so smooth compared to the paris its properly alot to do with better wheels & tyres & nicer saddle & bars.
Such stunning lug work, reminds me of the shape of a Kirk Pricision. Would love to get one of these in the garage. Thanks for sharing
Its indeed an interesting frame.I have an Allins stan Butler model with 4 speed stumey archer gears that needs a home i think its 1960s when be interesting for them channel,Allins agai was a well know croydon bike shop.I can send you photos.
