Awesome vid. Maak my jaloers.
I love it! Videos are progressing each time
Happy to hear that!
If you want to use longer cable, go thicker cable to avoid losses
Sal n brandstof bowser nie beter werk om saam te sleep nie😂
Ja nee 😂

The fact that you're being yourself and not trying to be like someone else, makes you and your video special. Thank you for such a wonderful video...keep it up!
Thank you so much!
Road kills are really unacceptable 😢😢😢😢
Puik episode wiltuin nat
Love it! Nice work! The editing has improved miles upon miles! Great stuff!
Thank you!
Double the witch pulling power, not the double the winch power. You can never exceed the power of the winch
Yes correct
Those tires suck.
the driver ....
Nice trip
Why using this instead of snatch blocks though? I would expect more loss to friction than with an actual pulley?
true but very small friction loss, handle easier and lighter, just overall better.....
@@4xxplore542 yeah I read on them for the last hour. Pretty interesting. They seem pretty darn light, I guess it's also safer cause your rope is literally inside the soft shackle... vs having a DRing and a snatch block that can potentially fail. I guess that also makes it for a more compact setup since the pulley is farther back (again, all the way inside the soft shackle). Its pretty cool, I might get a pair of those, I'm trying to upgrade my rescue kit. Nothing crazy, I live in the city... but I did pull out several people out of the snow... with a few fails under my belt. Having a setup that gives me mechanical advantage, and sometimes literally just to redirect force would help a lot! I'm trying to put a basic kit together... so far I'm thinking a 2-3 of these, a tree saver, 4-5 soft shackles, a long rope and maybe another, medium rope, in case I want to setup a Spanish Burton... and maybe a hand winch, which would help especially if I get stuck myself.
I would still use a bow shackle and steel snatch block, make the winch line your weakest point.
@@lewy1 you seem to be into heavy recovery stuff from your profile picture. I just like helping people out of the snow around my area. I have decided to go for the rings after I saw how much ligther, cheaper, and less rattlely in your trunk. For super heavy jobs, maybe... But for light work, i'll save the weight and the cumbersome nature of the blocks.
@@MattCantSpeakIt definitely lighter and less rattling, not that much cheaper though

Nice logo Jam !
Thanks Swannie for taking us with, it was really adventures and sometimes breathtaking
thank you Moses !!
Whats the purpose of the chain im new to this would like ti understand
just to control the rope or shackle flying back at you in case it breaks most people use mats / bags etc etc, which does not really work ... we use chain because you need weight and a material that does not break ....to control the momentum ..
Great video, well done. keep 'em coming! I like you gas cooker table set-up around the 5 minute mark, is it custom made? Cheers
hello no, just cut a hole in the table, works like a champ !!
@@4xxplore542 brilliant idea, love it!
Hello Paul, yes just drill a hole in the table and there you go....much better with the cooker at the low level...
I'm not a scientist but how does it give 2x power?
well that is what the clever people are claiming.....
Look up how a pully works - it actually takes 1/2 the effort for the winch to pull the car, same thing as 2 x power i guess!
@adda58 probably physics force of pushing and pulling out something d=rxt or something like that I'm sure
The keywords you are looking for are “mechanical advantage”.
No, using a single point pulley does not create a 2x mechanical advantage! That is a fallacy. It just redirects the rope angle. In order to get a 2x mechanical advantage, 2 pulleys must be used where one pulley is static and one pulley is moving. This type of system is called a "Block and tackle". The amount of force required is cut by half but the length of rope required to pull is doubled. The pull of the block and tackle results in the same amount of force applied when the force is measured over the longer timeframe.
Looks like great fun.
It was!
Enjoyed that ! New sub here , keep it up 👍🏻🏕
Thanks for the sub!
@@4xxplore542 always happy to supoort fellow outdoor youtubers with good content 👍🏻🏕

Hello Martie...yes the problem is we can not get to Botswana fast enough........🤩
Hi from Alabama! Love your videos man!
thanks Phillip ! busy to edit another video, showing our last trip to Khutze in Botswana !
Thanks for sharing this recipe
My pleasure 😊
Put a temp test gun on it for proof it does or does not heat up.
The name for that strap round the tree is a "strop".
Where can I get these traction boards??
Buy them from Frontrunner
New to recovery. What is the purpose of the chain? If the chain is used on the synthetic winch line, would it be used if the line was metal cable?
It make is safer so the metal cable don't wipe and kill someone, but the advantage of synthetic line is that it wont wipe so maybe he just switch to a synthetic line and still take the same precaution.
@@bionic1517 did you mean if the line snaps apart it won’t whip and kill someone?
Very fast setup!
Yes it was!
Lekker one, hope to see you out on the next adventure
Can't wait!
Hey buddy still stuck on this boat
Looks like great fun!
Awesome We'll done
Very lekker!
