i accidentally played this when i was next to my family im pretty sure they wanna disown me now but this is such a banger that it's worth it
Fabulous tune. This was the B side of the Tell Him single. Most of their B sides were almost as good as the A sides. Little Miss Mystery and Jenny Dream to name a couple
That intro moan sounds like a pornogrind intro sample.
Never gets old!
Probably one of my biggest guitar inspirations (especially in the solos lol), other than Deftones and Soundgarden. Love this band, and particularly this song
Loose as a goose.
Yeah to all women out there who know the difference between a good time and a great time
That should be told to the men who don’t know how to make woman have a good/great time lmao
I've been crazy about this song for decades ❤️
I wore the living fuck out of this tape in high school. It was a 92 Subaru. Think about that.
Yeah!!
Sounds of the South Bay

Milo from descendents does backup vocals on this song!
dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the latest movies on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my brother these days :)
@Aden Jason Definitely, I've been watching on instaflixxer for months myself =)
Just brilliant
Fuck fuck bitch
Had a particularly interesting glitch when I first played through. Yen kept using her lightning magic and that sound effect from the loading screen kept playing! I knew they were in to some freaky shit 😏

Not sure of AMP / BASS settings:- I used to skate to this. made my ball hair tingle. Thank's BF
"Originally, Ginn used a Peavey Standard Series 260 four channel P.A. Head to create his signature tone. He simply plugged directly into the amplifier and played with the volumes turned up to the point to where the signal being produced was naturally overdriven. This procedure created a rather abrasive sound that he tuned along side of the vocal stylings of each singer of the band. This is the sound you hear on Black Flag's Nervous Breakdown single, up to the album Damaged. Ginn later used a rack mounted Roland SIP-300 guitar preamp along with a QSC power amp until 1985 when he began using a Yamaha PG-1 guitar preamp with the same power amp until switching to a Crest PL400 power amp during their last tour. The earliest speaker cabinets that he used were probably marshall 4x12's. He used a Sound City 4x12 also. His earliest hand made speaker cabinets were fitted with two Peavey Black Widow 15" speakers. His later speaker cabinets were hand made, and used Electro-Voice speakers. One contained six 12" speakers, and the other with two 15" speakers. He then had two custom built cabinets with two 12" and one 15" speakers each. The type of speakers, being heavy duty and engineered for P.A. use therefore largely contributed to his notably dense guitar tone." www.last.fm/music/Greg+Ginn/+wiki
@@cxcmb Thanks for replying - and educating. - 5 years later I reply - cheers mate
This is the album that really highlighted black flag straying towards heavy metal
what? where is the heavy metal here?
Where’s the heavy metal in here? What where
No. No it didnt.
5 minute songs with endless guitar noodling in 1985 sure sounds more metal than punk. That’s why the entire punk/metal crossover happened. Anyone saying there’s no metal influence on this album isn’t listening.
I forget what amp Greg Ginn uses but he has the bass turned all the way up and the treble all the way down or almost all the way down. Mid is somewhere from 50-100%, I'm guessing. Maybe not be his exact amp settings but you get the idea. Basically low treble and high bass.

I absolutely love your black boots, they look amazing and awesome to wear! I would be happy to wear with them with white socks especially long thick white sport socks and would love to smell them! Which colour of socks did you wear with those boots?
This would be an awesome album if it didn't suffer from such super shitty 80s overproduction.
Search for "Who's Got The 10 1/2?"
Totally agree
Agreed. Honestly spot kind of half ruined the later husker records for me too
One of my biggest musical influences. When I first started out playing guitar and writing my own tunes, I'd copy Black Flag and Greg Ginn's guitar style. Probably hear traces of it in my playing still.
Thrasher daze I love it!!!!!
