I dispise happy churches as I see false prosperity messages being introduced,I agree with u Jeff,consequences are the lemon juice effect after your forgiven,plus father has something else to say after+we repentance works in actions.

As u comfession the sin though people may not agree n be angry this should not stop the other to make a change either,the lord does forgive 1 John 1 vs 9 psalm 103, also I’ve noticed demon will show up after lord tells u that hardship is coming Roman’s 5

I have done this and it’s not easy but being authentic real remorsing n changing direction is what lord wants,minus what Satan or people may imply

Children should be included more .. Have them feel closer to God .. Amen .. 🙏.
