This channel started as a way to keep and share memories of places our Jeep Gladiator has taken our family but has quickly turned into a way to show a few of the trips my friend and I lead into Michigans Upper Peninsula with Mitten State Tours.

"Are we sure we want to do this? Look at that Jeep way down there!" <cackling laughter> That's how my wife and I communicate, and ALSO what goes on inside my brain lol. Thanks for sharing!
That a nice jeep, and you can you have been off-road with evidence.
Looks like a great opportunity for a 3d printed plastic piece.
If only I had a file, I have plenty of friends that could probably do just that.
@@jt_overland We probably could have designed one... just didn't know.
Love it! Could you share the wheels/sizes on the bronco sport? Any lift or mods to it? Can't wait to take my badlands out there!
Where is that campsite at?
My brother and I did it last year in a full size bronco, was fun.... until we accidentally went down a old forset road, it got really tight. Heading to silver lake dunes, probably going hit tin cup again either on the way up Saturday or Monday on the way home. Thx for sharing your video
silly question. where do the leads from the lights go? into the Lasfit box? where?
The instructions are not component specific. You will find the sway bar link install portion in the full lift installation guide. store-z4byn7x2cd.mybigcommerce.com/content/JT_ADV%20X_MIDARM%2803_23%29.pdf

What did u do with your ditch lights relay? Did u cut them off?
Yes, the relay is no longer needed since the switch group incorporates a relay and a 40amp fuse.
Isn't open diffs and no lockers the same thing?
Not exactly. Sport models only have open diffs. Step up in models and you can get limited slip diffs. Then there is the rubicon and Mojave. They are technically open diff but have electronic lockers that can be engaged. I have the first. No lockers and no limited slip. Just open diffs and nothing more.
That's Jeep terrain, friendo
That hump made him lose traction....
I miss Michigan and all those hills. Florida isn't quite the same.
Well say hello to the landrovers that are already up there tail gaiting
Usually we have at least one in our group but none this time.
I have the first year 94 Discovery my wife and I used to make fun of right after we bought our 1996 Landcruiser, drove it for years and all over Colorado. When we moved from Houston to Nashville we sold the Landcruiser and Bought the Discovery and a 1996 Dodge Ram short bed, the first year of the redesign, the humped hood, it was great. When we came to Nashville, we joined the Landover offroad groups and really learned what that vehicle could do, I took it back to Colorado and it was amazing. I am working on restoring it now it @@jt_overland
What size are these tires? 10.50's or 12.50's?
35x10.5x17
Right on! Just ordered Baja boss AT 35x10 for my gladiator. Definitely going back. How is the post “yogi bear” campground?
Thanks! I didn't know what they interior wires were for....didn't realize they are redundant for options. Could use it for indicator lights...or interior lighting.
Stock tires?
No, those were an upgraded wheel and tire package he was running on the Bronco Sport. My gladiator is running the factory wheels but Kenda Klever RT 35’s
Compare con Bronco raptor
If I could get my hands on one or knew someone with one, that would be a fun time in the dunes.
What model is this? I see one on Amazon but it doesn’t show any pictures of the filler compartment (with the Rj45 port) for non-rubicons (without sway bar switch bank).
I feel like I should of just came to the blessing instead... Lol. Might be a case where I just need to do some things separate from the group I'm with normally, even if that means going on something like this alone.
After the event, we took a trail ride through some really beautiful and occasionally technical trails in the area. You should have come. It was a great time.
@@jt_overland next year for sure. We need to go over to Holly oaks
Did the bronco sport do good? I wanna take mine but don’t know how it’d be
It did excellent. It was surprisingly good.
This switch only turns on when the engine is on, correct?

But they didnt make rest.
Looks like Jeep heaven LOL
It’s a little slice of Jeep Heaven. Lol
I am considering the left side switches... cause always need more switches! Lol.. As for the MXT575... It will indeed work as it is an RJ45 connector... (I made my own of that same plug...pretty much)
I wired it all up for the MTX275 or MTX575 so I can avoid taking the dash apart again. Well, unless I add the red switch group. I just hate the button labeling on the red switches. Fingers crossed they change it to something more generic. Lol
@@jt_overland I wonder if nail polish remover would take off the labels? Then just make some vinyls for it
@@jt_overland I'll be honest.. if I get them.. I'll be painting them something other than red
Same.
So this makes me curious... What part of Michigan are you based out of? (If you don't mind me asking.)
We are out of Grand Rapids, MI.
@@jt_overland Gotcha. So Bundy Hill might be a bit of a drive for a day. Lol. 24th is their Jeep Invasion. (Doubt it'll be big... but it's still fun.)
@@trailtothevoid that does sound fun. Lol
@@jt_overland well.. never hurts to have a day trip. Lol. Flag is required... I'll probably do a video with my friends and get some cool shots while there.. (I do live in Jackson so it's only 20 minutes from me)
@@trailtothevoid we are planning another trip for the same area in October if you are interested. Let me know.
That Jeep life rocks!!! I want to do this with my Jeep it looks awesome 😎 we did JeepBeach in Daytona Beach. Thanks for sharing
Come on up to Michigan and we will show you a good jeeping time.
Any updates on the tires? How do you like them, and what milage are you at?
Thanks for asking. So far I have 44,000 miles on the tires. I still have 3/4” of tread depth left. It’s crucial to rotate them every 5,000 miles to avoid cupping. They are extremely quite with little road noise at any speed. They have been fantastic in mud, snow, ice, rain, and sand. I am extremely happy with this tire and will probably purchase them again when they wear down. I would highly recommend them.
@@jt_overland awesome. I really appreciate the detailed response! I'm probably going to get the same tire you got (35x10.5r17) for my 2003 Dodge 1500. 😊
Ok but how did you make it do it with the tazer jl.
Make sure you have the most recent firmware on your Tazer. After that, I couldn’t tell you. They didn’t have new instructions at the time I did it. I fumbled around and managed to get it assigned to one of the cruise control buttons. Now I can turn it off and on with the push of a button.
What’s psi you run and 4hi?
The sand was really soft from lack of rain so I was running 10psi. Normally I can go with 13psi. And yes, 4hi is perfect in the dunes. 4L is too low of gearing and you can’t keep the wheel speed up to climb the dunes.
I was just 5-6 rigs ahead of y’all. What a fun intro course ? We did “Engaged” just before the rain but missed the raffle announcements. Good times, nice Video ! ✌🏼😎 OIIIIIIIO
when you got stuck was it because you bought them doubt or did the kendas clog up?
Sick to death of music videos.
I'm guessing this is the ORV "route" for full-size vehicles? I'm thinking of taking my Toyota Sequoia 4WD SUV up there. Any areas out there the Geo or Bronco couldn't do?
You are correct. The outer loop is for full size vehicles. Normally, any vehicle can run this loop. I have done it many times in just 2wd. However, at times, there can be deep water holes but there is usually a way to skirt them. Just make sure you bring recovery gear as a back up. There is always someone on the trail if you need assistance.
4 hi? How much did you lower your psi to?
I run 10-13 psi. 10 if it’s been a hot dry summer like this year. 13 if the sand isn’t completely dry.
Thanks, I have a cabin about ten miles west of there and just picked up an FJ Cruiser. I'll check it out!
It’s nothing too exciting but it is fun.
how much sand got in the jeep?!? messy clean up??
Not too much. Cleaned out really easy. Kinda expected more sand given the windy conditions.
Apparently, powering-through those mud holes (keeping-up momentum vs. going slowly) was the best/only way to negotiate them. So, how long does it take to clean all that mud off the underside of your Gladiator? Asking for a friend. ;-) BTW, I don't have a Bubba Rope for my Gladiator, but do need to GET one -- I do have towing and snatch/recovery-straps (1 of each), but TMK Bubba Ropes last WAY longer (lifespan) then they do, and, I can just carry ONE recovery device vs. 2 (besides my also-carried ARB Tred Pro recovery-boards, of course). -- BR
Doesn’t take too much to clean it off. I don’t have a bubba rope yet but it’s in the plans especially seeing how much nicer it is vs a snatch strap. Traction boards are also on the list.
