Sticky Fingers Live @ Baha. How To Fly - Clouds and Cream.
Переглядів 1,7 тис.Рік тому
Recorded in 2013 on my Audek vintage console set up in the green room out the back of Baha in Rye, the transition from How to Fly to Clouds and Cream around 3:20 in playback is a highlight of the show! Was a fantastic night and early days for the band. They made an immediate impression as a band that had something special. #StickyFingers #HowToFly #StiFi

From Richard Cook's song catalogue, recorded mid 90's at Richard's Raw Spirit Studios with Richard engineering and mixing. The studio was a hive of activity at the time with myself and Tim Cole as feelance recording engineers bringing in work to the studio. Keith Samuel was on drums and Jay Atwill was often on guitar or bass as well as recording some of his own material. As is often the case we...

The video is from my journey to Tasmania for the 2019 Wooden Boat Festival as a crew member abord Storm Bay, Tim and Sally Phillips fishing smack. We crossed Bass Strait, from Queenscliff to the Glennies at Wilsons Prom then on to Deal Island and down the west coast of Flinders Island. Lastly we cruised south via Tasmania's east coast rounding Tasman Peninsula to Hobart. The soundtrack is my co...

A busy little tune I wrote when the Covid restrictions were lifted in Victoria. A spring time tune with some family pics..they were busy little kids!
Goldentone by Chris Hallam ©

I recorded this tune the night i brought home the little Goldentone valve amp i bought from the op shop. The crackle is due to moisture in the capacitors as the amp was formally stored in a garage. I think it adds something to the nostalgic vibe of the tune. A few days near out wood heater fixed the issue. The guitar is my old Fender Strat.

A song I wrote and recorded as an encouragement to seek healing for all those who have been wronged and sinned against.

Bass Strait Crossing, opening scene of the Glennies off Wilsons Prom. I was a crewing on Tim and Sally Phillips fishing smack, Storm Bay on our way to Hobart for the Festival. We took our time, the journey being the focus. The Tune is a recording of an original composition on my 1955 Maton.

Sanding Chairs in Social Distanct Ararat. Searched you and found this. Kindest regards and admiration for you and Abby Lionel and Shirley.
Thanks, Z. The maton in the pic is the guitar i played for this tune. It was built in 1955 and has a unique tone. I got it for $5 because the neck was brocken at the heel. A few years earlier i worked at Maton but could not afford a guitar at the time so I see it as a bit of a serendipity gift.
One of the highlights of this year for me has been recording and mixing Lucas Bartletts first solo CD. This song was a highlight for me.
