When I worked for Kaiser Permanente doing payroll back in the late 90s, the various health care centers would fax their timesheets to us, then they would play a little game where they would fax the confirmation sheet back to us showing they sent all the pages, then we would fax that confirmation sheet back to them, then fax them the confirmation sheet of that confirmation fax, and then they would once again fax that confirmation sheet back to us so they knew that we knew that they knew we got their timesheets. It was a stupid little game. Thankfully just a year or so later we hooked up all our KRONOS timeclocks to the internet and as long as they punched in and out correctly that was no longer needed. But getting them to actually do that was a whole other story.
