RUINED LIFTER 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Sedan
Переглядів 12 тис.Місяць тому
The 289 is ruined. Womp Womp. No time or money to fix as other things became more important. In Memory of my Grandfather. He had really got me into Fords when I used to be a Chrysler guy. He especially got me interested in SBFs in general. Follow my Instagram! leadfoot.ed

Single pipe. All stock exhaust. Sounds a little goofy cause it was apparently only running on 7 cylinders. Follow my Instagram! leadfoot.ed

Chrysler 2.5l i4 no muffler exhaust sound
Переглядів 54Рік тому
I couldn't find a good video to see how these cars sound without a muffler so I made one. This is on my 1993 Plymouth Acclaim. There is a cat. No muffler. All stock exhaust.
Hey, thanks for the ride!
wow it runs like a dream you should go do a taco bell run in it
It would probably make it there
Collapsed lifter? I think the engine needs to be pulled out torn down and cleaned and properly fixed. Myself I would just swap in a FE. that short stroke 289 doesnt have a low of low end torque and that Galaxies is a very heavy car.
If only I had the time and money.
LAMENTO LA MUERTE DE TU PADRE...QUE EN PAZ DESCANSE....
The 62 thru 64 engines 221 -260= & 289 have a 5 bolt block where the bellhousing attaches. The 65 and newer engines used 6 bolts. the 64 -65 and early 66 engines had fully adjustable rocker arms. the aluminum 2 speed trans is a Fordomatic.

You have a collapsed lifter or not pumped up with oil
I'm sorry for your daddy. I lost mine in august. W also worked togheter on old cars. We both liked it.
@@miebrus79 grandfather. Im sorry for your loss.
If you want to revive an old car and get it running sweet you need to be prepared to spend a few dollars.
Sure looks like a 352 to me it's not a 289 and ot doesn't have 390 badges ao it probably a 352 !
@stevedouglas3692 Not an FE block. Its stamped 289 right in the side and on the intake.
