question, is awakening safi's PEP CBs to impact phials worth it or better to just max out element?
Safi’jiiva’s CBs imo are just rip offs counter parts to the actual good CBs that people don’t look into. Sure, you have the Reawakening Upgrade system and you’re able to upgrade as you please but they will never hit as good as the CBs I use. I tried many times with Safi CBs and they are not great at all. I would suggest you get Kjarr CBs for Elements, Alatreon CB for Ele too works super good if you Frostcraft it, and your main DPS weapon to be the True Fatalis Charge Blade for your Raw damage with Impact Phials. For Ailment CBs, Blast and Paralysis are also covered by Kjarr with them having “Critical Status” bonus. Raging Brachydios’ CB for Blast is also underrated. Heavy on the damage for Raw damage // Impact Phials but slightly lower build up on Blast. For Poison, Gold Rathian’s CB is tremendously good. Easy Poison build up first thing as you build phials and two free LvL 2 Jewels. Lastly, for Sleep CB, there’s Great Jagras’ CB which you have so much slots for you to choose such as Health Regen, ATK Boost, etc. They also give you custom upgrades to further enhance that with two Level 3 jewels to slot in for Free Ele. This is just my opinion and the CBs I gave out as examples are you for to have an idea to think about if you wish to get them instead. If you want to pursue Safi CB instead, then I will simply answer your question by saying stick with the Ailment Safi CBs for Impact. The Element Safi CBs are hot garbage.

could you do a raw fight without smoke bombs, mantles, traps, wallbangs? just think that a pure head to head clash would really show cb's capabilities and skill
That’s just TA Wiki in a nutshell you basically listed out with restrictions: I did mention in many videos I made in the past that I don’t bother with TA Wiki since it takes the fun away and I would rather show my strategies on monsters like these as CB since everybody doesn’t really look through that category as much. Thanks for your time viewing my video though, good sir.
Bro really brought out the castle crashers music. That game was my life when I was younger. Also nice runs. I've been playing CB in Iceborne a lot lately. I decided I was gonna use all the weapons that I don't really use and get good with them. My main is SnS, but my other most played are GL, HH, and Hammer. CB has been fun. I've mastered the moveset at this point and I've gotten pretty good at guard points. I haven't tried doing any speedruns with it yet, mostly just been playing in multiplayer. I've just been using the fatty CB so far but I also have the kjarr ice CB. I should probably get around to making a build for it. That shit is broken.
Castle Crashers has been my childhood game too which is why I'm bringing it back to fulfill my nostalgia. (Funny enough how the OST track titled: "The Show" fits Coral Pukei imo) These runs I'm doing are speedruns, sure. They are NOT for TA Wiki however since I'm doing this freely without anything taking away my fun in the share. Nice to know you mastered CB at this point. I don't really push my playstyle onto people, I just show it and if you want to follow this example of a play style I do, go for it. Most people run Savage Axe play style, so yeah. True Fatalis Charge Blade and all the other Kjarr Charge Blades + Alatreon CB are cracked. Raging Brachydios' CB is also heavily underrated. I've tried other CBs like Gold Rathian's CB, Kjarr Paralysis, Kjarr Blast, and the Noobie's Beginning CB which is Great Jagras' CB that allows sleep if slotted with Free Ele also heavily underrated. I know some other fellas that love SnS, I've tried all the weapons with MH:W and they are good in their own playstyle but I wanted to approach more with CB for many reasons: - Been way too long with everybody being very clueless with SAED approachs on Endgame Monsters, so I took the step on the stage to show it. [Could of done this long ago] - Been disgusted too much hearing complaints from people about CB and been debunking them since. [Proof of that is on my Steam Guide categorized underneath the title: "My Slander to CB Complaints"] - Introduce Frostcraft to level up SAED playstyle and reintroduce the Old Style of World with it. [SAED and AED with Axe play, No Savage Axe] I'm having quite limited time being around, so feel free to ask me anything while I'm still here.
@protagonistjazzy yeah I know these aren't technically competitive speedruns cuz you aren't really going for records. I do the same thing. I "Speedrun" more casually. And so far I've really only done Speedruns of a couple monsters that I like fighting. I haven't tried doing any TA wiki stuff either, I still use wall bangs and mantles. Though I usually leave my cat at camp still because they usually just add more rng to the monster. I really like doing Ruiner with HH, that matchup is fun. I think my fastest time is like 4min 50sec or something. Then I run Teostra with SnS, my fastest is 3min 45sec. Also ran Alatreon with SnS my fastest was around 6min 30sec I think. Though I haven't tried doing Alatreon with the Fatalis SnS yet and trying to kill him before the first escaton. I just use either a kulve weapon or the frostfang weapon. I could probably do it in around 5min with the fatty SnS if I really tried. Ain't no way I'm doing competitive times though, I don't want to run heroics. Though SnS can kill Alatreon in like 2min with a frostcraft fatty heroics build. Damage is nutty. Also what complaints have people said about CB? I don't really go on social media sites other than YT so I don't really know what people say about CB. Most I've heard is people saying CB is hard. But I haven't really heard complaints.
@@chewbacachunks8644 That is impressive with those times you managed. With most speedruns in the competitive zone, Heroics is an option but it's not something I would bother trying as well. I also do not go on Social Media websites too but a friend of mines had the time to research about what people said about CB and it's surprising. The complaints he found from one social website is Reddit. (Out of all places, Reddit. lmfao) and other websites like the actual CB wiki page for MH:W. Those are some examples from the list of sources and now I'll give you examples on one of their arguements or complaints: - "CB is Impossible against Fatalis" - "The weapon meant to be played as a GP Weapon is not fast enough to perform that function" etc... You get the point, the videos I post here are literally here just to debunk their stupid points they're trynna make. If Savage Axe does the job, so does SAED. I'm keeping it SAED and AED fashion no matter what from now on and yes, I have Sav Axe with only two monsters so far and they were situational due to reducing phial dmg from Ele CBs but I'mma find another way to deal dmg regardless of the disadvantage. Hope you understand.
God damn
Yes, it also involves my "Unga Bunga" tech for CB. Thanks for watching, fellas.
What cb is this?
@@mawlett2877 True Fatalis Charge Blade Reskinned with Acidic Glavenus CB.
Great runs, but why did you cover Alatreon in piss?
@@justaguy115 Cover Alatreon in… what? xD That’s a model mod replacement I had for Ala. What it does is give you a sign of what Element he’s prioritizing. If he uses Ice, he’s light blue on top. If he uses Fire, he’s yellow or… piss. And if he uses both, he’s just normal.
I figured, lol. I can see how it provides better contrast to make it easier to tell. I just find yellow to be a funny replacement for the usual red orange.

Only 2 layer armors are modded, yeah. Rest are vanilla.

great clean plays! whats your approach/ gameplay loop for chargeblade? i find myself kinda confused on what to do aside from charging phials, shield and sword
@@jones77-l3d There are two ways of playing Charge Blade that I would give to you as an idea for you to think about: 1. SAED | AED play style of Charge Blade with Axe play as a side. This is the one play style that I show within my videos and mainly runs with Frostcraft. If you don’t run your CB with Frostcraft, I would then suggest you keep it at minimum of SAED | AED. 2. People run this because they call it the “meta” and has been going around for years already. Savage Axe, something you can run for yourself if you feel like you can’t seem to adapt well with SAED | AED. You can do Savage Axe and SAED together in a way but really it’s all about build and your approach with CB. I don’t force anybody to play the same way I do.
@@protagonistjazzythank you! i suppose your usage of frostcraft is what makes u constantly sheathe n unsheathe with axe attacks

@ thats fucking fire bro thank you
Amazing as always
I think that raging should be here instead of furious, ragang is actually hard while furious is just sometimes bullshit and some times reasonable
@@Sadcatblake Thing is about Raging Brachydios, I would rarely come across any 999s to be invested with the guy since he’s more of a “I just reached the beginning Endgame portion guys!” type of monster. If I were to just post it with a party of 999s, majority of them would instantly go HBG to cheese it. A lot of other 999s that I know about invest their playtimes onto Tempered Furious Rajang which is why he earns the spot onto this video.
@ but didn’t raging and furious come out at the same time? And doesn’t hbg basically cheese everything with how high its damage output is?
@@Sadcatblake No, no. You're right about that with HBG being the cheese and the releases of both Raging and Furious Rajang. With Raging Brachydios, my man deserves more of a recongition in helping the newbies out with figuring an approach to deal with the guy and once they bypass him, most of them never touch on Raging again after they farmed the materials required to make their weapons or gears. With Tempered Furious Rajang, he falls into the category of being more revisited just for the fun of it or the grind for blue tickets. Take it from me personally, I got already near 5k slays on him just cause of how enjoyable he is. I know other players same rank as me who also revisit him just cause he's fun. Regardless of HBG cause again, I've seen it a lot against Raging Brachydios [Mainly Pierce]. LBGs with Sticky ammo are more common against Furious Rajang.
@ weird,i prefer raging’s fights and kinda hate furious, i just seem to have a hard time with rajang in world which is funny cause in sunbreak there what i fight to shake of the rust cause of how natural the rajang fights are to me in sunbreak, i dont know what it is but i dont know what weapon im good against them with, most monsters i have 1 or 2 weapons im great against them with and everything else is kinda meh unless there just a easy fight, i have one for raging but i dont for furious he just feels weird and annoying to fight to me.
@@Sadcatblake Understandable. Not a lot of players are a big fan of Rajang // Furious Rajang at all. With me since I've been quite an enjoyer of majority monsters that isn't Fatalis, I can always do retakes like I normally do before I hit my CB goal of 9999 plays. I'll take a thought about our conversation on that and may include him apart of the whole shenanigans. I got plans for this same idea of a video here with these four again with additions of AT Namielle, etc.
CB + Frostcraft was not on my bingo card, but i'll take it, definetely a cool way to revitalize AED and regular AXE playstyle, i dig it.
Doing this quest was kind of difficult for me to really prioritize my FC meter but it still did the job regardless. The sole purpose of FC CB is have SAED be a major part of your damage. Axe play is a vital part with the SAED | AED construct since it perserves your FC meter and not only that, only consumes one phial. Doing Savage Axe on FC CB is pointless for two reasons: - Sharpness Drain - FC meter drains faster Therefore, if anybody enables Savage Axe with my FC build, they'd have to SAED with it to get bigger damage.
@@protagonistjazzy I'll give it a shot when i can

@@mr.shigoto7211 I rather keep it SAED | AED. Only time I Savage Axe is when the game’s mechanics force me to. Examples being: Alatreon shifts phases and now it’s in Dragon Phase and Arch Tempered Namielle using his supernova already and doesn’t have water absorbed.
@ is that just your preference of playstyle? Savage axe is objectively better damage and more efficient, right? I’m not hating just clearing it up I don’t play charge blade and am trying to get a fatalis solo kill with every weapon
@ If you haven’t touched CB, I would suggest finding the right time to start with it than listening about other people’s bandwagon idea that Savage Axe does better than SAED. Best to touch on something first to get an understanding of it and then coming over with your thoughts. It’s my preference of play style that works. Because I’m running Frostcraft CB, my damage with literally anything that I do with CB that isn't Savage Axe brings out a ton of damage. [For proof, feel free to check out my CB Compilations] I don't bother with Savage Axe on FC CB since it's out of the equation due to it shredding my FC meter completely. Unless I use it with Safi Gear, sure but situationally. Other than that, I’d rather stick with SAED just to show you that it does the job. Sure, Savage Axe does it own but it’s a different approach situationally. A lot of people use CB with Fatalis gear since it’s given so many jewels but I don’t do that approach anymore due to bleaching my eyes with so many builds I saw that were very horribly built. All my CB plays as of right now which is 9k+ plays, I’ve been doing SAED and AED only. Legitimately works for all monsters and I can’t really see myself Savage Axing every attack that I know certain brings an opening for SAED.
@@protagonistjazzy I understand what you are saying. After 9k battles of a certain playstyle it’s understandable why you’d stick with it. And obviously you can tackle the entire game easily with it. I just see it as if there is an opportunity to get faster clear times with different strategy, why not? Even if it is “bandwagon” or have to change build , still the wr runs use it. Feel like with 10k hunts on something that’s what id be doing just minimizing time Videos are awesome it’s refreshing to see the “normal” cb playstyle but just my thoughts
@@mr.shigoto7211 As long as you understand it, that's all. It's not directly anything mean to you but just me addressing it in a manner where I speak it passionately. So much so, with clearing it out on having faster times with CB, I would practice first with getting to know about on CB since you did mention not having touched CB before. You may pick whatever playstyle you would like to as long as you got a reason to. Just know that I'm not a hater of Savage Axe, it has its uses on several occasions but mainly a guy who keeps it consistent of the flow on switching from SAED to Savage Axe or maintaining one preferred playstyle which is my own that I'm sharing. I appreciate your support, my friend. "Normal" CB playstyle is something I'm bringing back out to the light for reasons such as a stupid comment I have read. - "Charge Blade is impossible against Fatalis"
What CB is that?
Kjarr "Ice" Charge Blade. Layer Weapon Skin: Reawakened Safi'jiiva Weapon
Excuse me, if I'm not wrong, you obtain that weapon from Kulve Taroth, but what can I do if I didn't do it's quest before iceborne? Now only appears the arch tempered version and I don't have ps+ to ask for help 😓
@@pathetisch3640 No, you're not wrong. The CB I used against Shara was Kjarr "Ice" CB. Kulve Taroth is Arch-Tempered within HR and it's the only way for you to get Kjarr Ele CBs from her by running Sieges. You can still run alternatives if you didn't acheive any Kjarr Ele CBs which I can give you some examples. 1. Beotodus' Ice CB works magnificant for later Iceborne tropes such as Raging Brachydios and Alatreon. 2. Glavenus' Fire CB works in a decent way for you to handle monsters like Regular Namielle and Regular Velkhana. Rest of the Ele CBs do not matter unless you have them as "Kjarr"
@@protagonistjazzy Ok, ok. Thanks for answering my question 🫂
@@protagonistjazzy bro please make equip guide, i just finished iceborn and start the guiding lands
New player here, just a couple questions: 1. Ive seen a couple of vids now grappling on but getting off. Is it like a cancel or dismount? Whats the purpose? 2. How do i keep myself still when SAEDing and not going. Forward? Im always going forward and ending up in the gooch zone and swinging outwards lol Thanks in advance!
Hello, thank you for your time viewing my video. In advance, I'll answer your questions: 1. With grappling on but getting off is a method a lot of players should be wary about when it comes to grappling onto the monster with the clutch claw mechanism. It varies within scenarios and I'll give examples to at least enlighten you to give a good general idea. - If you ever encountered Rajang // Furious Rajang, this method of grappling on but getting off is a significant factor because of one action he performs: An attempt to pull you off from his arm and locking you into his pin attack. To avoid such a thing, you would simply grapple his arm after he does a move or roars to where you'll see the animation occur. If it happens, get off from that side of his arm where you grappled to as he does the animation of "dragging you out of his arm" and simply grapple to the same arm again after the animation is done or his other arm to perform a turning maneuver and wallbanging him after. - Another example is when you're grappling onto the monster successfully, maneuvering the monster with the clutch claw but then notice how if you send the monster to the direction to place it in and have doubts that it will hit the wall, that's when you will grapple off to bring yourself closer to the wall while luring the monster to follow you as it attacks and the rest follows. - Last example is from my video too after you damage the monster enough on one of its parts is where you'll see them perform a "flinch." You have to grapple onto them quickly enough to hold them into position for an extended time, allowing you to perform damage or build phials with CB. If you do this within Multiplayer/SOS, keep this mind. Listen to the monster's whimper noises carefully as such: -Flinching the Monster is the first whimper noise. -If you come close to it, it'll make another whimper noise either once or twice. (Gold Rathian here whimpers twice and after the second whimper is when you clutch claw) Reason why I mention this is allow more extended time for other players to perform punishing blows such as a Greatsword doing a TCS, an LS performing their Spirithelm Slash, an SNS doing a full combo of their rush, etc. - I will also include this too, because you'll see it a lot commonly with "pro players" who does Fatalis 24/7 and as you're a Charge Blade user, I advise you NOT to follow this imo. Mostly with players who approach by a monster will simply grapple on, claw 3 times, and then tenderize to agitate the monster rather quickly. Reason why I mention to not follow this behavior is because from what I like to call it is "TA Wiki Stylized Clawing" while many others call it the "Chinese Opener" and it does NOT benefit any SOSes whatsoever other than the "pro player." If you're playing in SOSes, you want to benefit yourself with getting wallbangs in and helping the team successfully win the quest, NOT screw them over with a stupid opener. 2. When you perform an SAED, the general animation plays by itself and you wouldn't really need to move it at all. The direction you aim at is where your attack will land its punishing blow. For example, when you topple a monster down and you position yourself in front with some distance at its head where most monsters' weakpoint is at, that is where you would simply perform the SAED directly. Now let's just say if you're performing an SAED and noticed how the monster is angled differently either to your left or right is when you'll interact with your A and D key since they are the movement keys that allows you move either left or right. If you feel at a need to practice more with SAED itself, then do so whenever you can at your own available time and run quests with SOSes or alone to get a good feel and understanding. I speak from my experience with this due to my numerous plays of CB. It's the only weapon I felt needed more talk with on SAED rather than Savage Axe.
@ whoa! Thank you!! Thats an amazing reply, so much for me to learn haha Saved it all and will practice tonight. Going into Iceborne in a couple days and have my Tyrannis II ready. Will keep an eye out for Rajang 🫡🫡🫡
@@mrpatchz You’re welcome. Enjoy your time while you can on Pre-Iceborne and stock up prepared for Iceborne since it will be an interesting experience. Practice whenever you can and make the most out of CB.
@ will do! Thanks so much. Ill be back next time i get stuck 😂
I aspire to use the charge blade as good as you do
I’m glad to inspire you in putting good work with Charge Blade, good sir. It’ll take time.
Brutal finisher xD
In a way, it deserves a taste of the wall.

Imo Normal Rajang is more difficult than Furious. Furious relies too much on range attacks making it easier to read his patterns.
@@Gobi_no_inu90 What people don’t know about Normal Rajang is that he takes more of Ice Damage compared to Furious Rajang. Both are stupid if you use smoke bombs against each of them. I did state in my one of Furious Rajang videos that I prefer my own play style of what I did here in the video than AED and Savage Axe with Kjarr “Ice” since you’re putting yourself at risk gambling with RNG on each counter you throw against him would be AED. But as Furious Rajang is more grabbier than the normal Rajang, I wouldn't want to take that chance. Also, both have the same physical attacks but different approaches with their thunder attacks.
Can i see u frostcraft build please
Sure, it is only exclusive from my Steam Guide. If you wish to use it, please review Part 4 of the Manual too where I teach how to Prioritize FC on CB and you have to copy my build exactly the way it is to get good results. @ thx bro
@ did u test cb on wild? Any thought?
@@akrckpsd4081You’re welcome.
@@akrckpsd4081I did not test CB within Wilds since I’m still undergoing my last 999 plays of CB in World. From what I heard about it based on rumors, it was more heavy on Savage Axe play than SAED. For me to confirm it, I will touch on it soon enough when I complete my goal.
To those wondering about the "Full Freestyle CB" named within the title of the video, only 1/4 monsters on here had me involve Savage Axe play. That monster being Alatreon due to reasons with him shifting phases and making Kjarr "Ice" Charge Blade's phials significantly weaker. The rest only had themselves with SAED | AED playstyle of Charge Blade with Axe play. Axe play is not Savage Axe, because I did not enable Savage Axe. Therefore, Axe play is apart of the SAED | AED playstyle, because it conserves phials without depleting them overtime. Other than that, thanks for watching as always fellas. I'll see you with more upcoming videos.
Omg! Its so satisfying
Fantastic run. Love me some unga bunga.
No savage axe meta? Nice run btw
Thank you for your comment and to answer your question: My runs will always go by old tradition of only SAED | AED playstyle.
@ AED/SAED with GP is definitely the cooler playstyle 😎
@ Totally! That’s why I would like to keep the play style of SAED | AED going.
Impressive 👍🏻
I enjoyed this
great gameplay
