Testing New PowerHobby Jetko Grabber 1.9 4.65” Tires With Just Scalin 3D Tire Inserts On Thingiverse
New PowerHobby 1.9 Grabber tires are currently going into production and I was able to get a set to test. Im running them with Just Scalin Proline XL 1.9 super soft 3D printed tire inserts available on Thingieverse. The wheels are also PowerHobby 1.9 with massive positive offset which let me run large Vanquish Products 2.2 steel hub weights. Beadlock rings are JEC Racing.
The second I put these wheels on the truck immediately leveled up!!! Super happy with them and they are better than anything I’ve tried before. I run mostly on dry granite and weight of this rig is about 4lb 15oz with battery

What foam do you recommend for that tire?

Just ordered my second set of these. First set went on my wife's Negative G build right at 6 pound's. Made an amazing night and day difference. Going to put the other set on my Gspeed build about half a pound heavier than my wife's rig because of full set of aluminum Vanquish Currie F9 portals. Running plastic version on her rig.

That wall crawl was insane! I just put mine on last night, can’t wait to run em this weekend. It’s a Capra so nothing like these rigs but it still is a great crawler.

Thank you sir! That local line is known as “the shark fin” and good tire/foam combo is the key to pull it

Any insight for me on how to get started building machines like these by hand?

I feel this question will be answered much better in Facebook groups. Others can chime in and show what they have built and now

Keywords; lathe and mill for metal, tools for working with sheetmetal, soldering, knowledge of CAD design for creation of 3D printed parts and designing models, knowledge of rc equipment. To create these models from scratch involves quite some knowledge, skills and a more or less well equipped tool shop. One might get by with some less fancy tools. Many who are into this kind of scratch building are ofte mechanics, craftsmen, engineers by proffession, but there are also selftought people.

@@Rimrock300 I’m an operating engineer by trade so i don’t know if that counts for anything lol. I took Industrial maintenance at my vocational school and do have some experience with cad. Only problem is I don’t have the workshop for it
