We see a half-length graduated length arrangement. This type of graduation increasing towards the top of the head is also called rounded graduation. The increasing lift-off angle takesaway the heaviness of the top hair, creating a layered look. Nevertheless, it is not a layered form.

We divide the head into 3 horizontal sections. Start with the top section by dividing horizontally around the head at the level of the receding hairline. Then divide the neck againhorizontally at the level of the middle ear. The middle section is divided on the A axis into 2 sections, one on the right, one on the left.

Comb the hair of the lower sequence completely into the natural fall. Fix them with the comb and cut a horizontal solidshape. In doing so, push the hair inwards towards the head so that there is a slight increase in length towards the outside. This covers swirls and other irregularities in the growth. This is called negative solid shape. We have already talked about this in Units 1 and 2 of this program.
