Interesting video ! Usually we work with PC SWMM and today I tryed SSA by importing the data of PC SWMM. But it gived me a lot of errors of invalid float number. Maybe it's a problem based on the data numbers in the pipes, etc ?

Where can I learn more about how to use Storm and Sanitary Analysis? There are not a lot of videos for learning on youtube.

How do you deal with peaking factors. My network maximum volume works well. In running an analysis of sanitary sewer, I am still limited to evaluating all segments for population upstream to determine appropriate peaking factors. Any thoughts?

when you work your corridor like this, is there a way to show the corridor, the subassembly and the profile at the same time or you simply use 3 viewports or 3 drawings?

Storm & Sanitary Analysis extension is automatically included with AutoCAD Civil 3D (at least 2011 and newer)

With the amount of time we normally have to do this I'd say "C" is the way to go !!!!!!!!

Just build the corridor. If it's not good, you can easily adapt it with the great power of Civil 3D :-)

C is what I would do

I'd be breaking out the Town regulations and/or State regulations to figure out max allowable grade and minimum K values (if different from AASHTO) so that my profile over the hills and through the woods (to grandmother's house we go?) is realistic. Then if it were today I'd be doing C.

Dynamite in the hills, or asphalt in the flats.. ill vote on the long way using a typical cross section and smooth vertical curve and analyze quantities. But tis but a hunch. I eagerly await the next installment of IAICE.
