Wonderful to hear Australian June Nixon anthem being sung in the US. She was former organist of St Paul’s Cathedral Melbourne Australia. From an Australian viewer of St Marks Services.
I wish our church had a choir. It sounds magical with the organ. Well played, sir.
What an organist!
Would be nice to have captions available.
Wonderful to see ALL the congregants with hymnals and singing. Great soprano section--the descant was perfect.
Someone please help, what is the name of the song book used? The hymns were not announced with their first line, I need the tune names of most hymns here
Who is the organist?
This is a beautiful hymn I ❤
Generally they sing all the verses, but in this instance unaccountably they omit the glorious final verse.
Praise and honour to the Father, Praise and honour to the Son, Praise and honour to the Spirit, Ever Three and ever One! Consubstantial, coeternal, While unending ages run!
As another Franciscan friar....I love Advent and this hymn especially....Br Leo, osfm
Stunning and beautiful.
They should have installed a table in Notra Dame that is similar to your beautiful one that the priest is standing in front of in their cathedral, instead of the half-round thing they got now.
That guy is getting wild with the incense. But a lovely hymn lol
Glad we have audio! Thank you, St. Mark’s.

One of the most underrated hymn tunes. Love it ❤
No sound. 🙁

Might I use this lovely recording in an online service of the United Reformed Church in the UK? We have the requisite licences and would, of course, credit you in the Order of Service. Many thanks, Andy Braunston
That church is really into incense.
The new organ console is beautiful. Also, the organ is great sounding.
Beautiful Church and wonderful Organ.
The chord progressions in the first verse and between the verses is absolutely stunning! The bells/carillon at the end are spectacular!
Yes, love the zimblestern, such a nice touch
Enough with the glissandos! They’re tacky!
Beautiful reharmonization but is it too much to ask for a steady tempo?
P.s. Knock it off with the glissando. It was gauche.
Beautiful. Gorgeous. Sublime.
The hymn is wonderful when sung slowly with people on their knees. Truly Anglo Catholic.
Thank you for putting this program on UA-cam. He’s my for long, very very very very far, cousin.
what an amazing sermon!
Does anyone have the sheet music for this because I’d love to be able to play this version
Unfortunately, no audio.
missed opportunity for congregationally sung hymns shame dog and pony show from the "organist"
It's really nice they are making the content publicly available for people to enjoy. I think they are doing that to make it accessible to folks with mobility and other limitations not to make themselves vulnerable to abuse about how they conducted the service and videoed it. I'm curious why you felt it necessary to even make a comment like this
I heard several congregational hymns. I’m not sure how that’s a dog and pony show…
Thank you for the wonderful video! I love the beginning of the play. Sounds really oriental!
The organist is so talented! Is this church in Philadelphia? WHERE???
Gosh.... why so many sections of empty pews in that church?!
EEEESHOBAHAHAHA
Beautiful celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏🏿 Thank you for sharing.
Pi
That’s amazing! Is that a particular musical accompaniment? Or just the organists amazing creation? Sad to see such low attendance.
Wish I was there !

If there were an Anthem of Christianity, this should be IT.
I wish I was there.. looks so magnificent.
The organist is absolutely brilliant ( as usual). Any chance he can be asked to give us a concert in the near future I wonder?

As a Roman Catholic I longed these traditional rituals. I remember the censer it had to go up first then a swing in the middle and finally a swing lower , n and the boy thuriféraire had to censer the faithful; left then middle then right side the side of the saved! All is symbols but without them there is imo no sense in our lives. Keep on brethen Angicans and Episcopalians one day the RC will come back to olden days of celebrating God. Vatican II was a total awful waste.
Still happens at the Traditional Latin Mass, at Divine Worship in the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, and at Eastern Catholic Divine Liturgies.
