I've watched Forbe's coverage here of every congressional hearing where Pete Buttigieg was testifying. so many i lost count after the third hour. each video with some either disparaging discriptor or wording like stumped, teared into, savages, etc. etc. aimed at discrediting Buttigieg's position or to make it out as though the republican asking questions got the better of "mayor Pete" or somehow won their little 5 minute debate. these click-bait titles would leave a casual observer to believe the republicans have proved their point on whatever issue is at hand. hands down as you would say. but this is far from the reality i've witnessed after watching so many of these miss titled videos. over and over and over Secretary Buttigieg has knocked down talking point after talking point thrown his way with calm cool intelligence of the topic, correct data backing his position and the Biden administrations, and a tenacity to be envied. the Transportation Secretary in each video completely dismantles what can only be seen as what they truly are, talking points provided to them and other right wing influencers by the party's billionaire fossil fuel donors, anti union businessmen, and all the others who pour millions into right wing super pacs to counter the very real and present danger of climate change. despite the titles, every time Secretary Pete dominates republican's disingenuous arguments and makes them out to look like total sellouts to the men who hide in the shadows and who in effect hold the end of the stings that make them dance like the puppets they are. this is exactly why Forbe's is no longer the publication of money and finance in America. why the number of your viewers and readers keeps declining. it all started when it became a well known fact that Donald Trump would routinely buy his way onto the Forbe's 500 list. basically making it worthless and what now amounts to a vanity project for the aspiring mega wealthy with no actual credibility. people say it's always been that. but there was a point when a large amount of the middle class would turn to Forbe's for a glimpse as to the inner workings of the markets and business. now the majority hasn't even ever heard of Forbe's. now i get that you have a right slant to your reporting. but to debase yourself to ad homonym slights at someone who happens to own every republican who is stupid enough to go up against him in a debate. who not only out classes every single one of them, but does it in a way that relates to the average American without sounding out of touch like most on the right do. Secretary Pete is a business minded and supporting Democrat with epic credentials and not a spot on the fender. Pete Buttigieg will make one of the great president's this country will ever have one of these days. and god i pray that day comes sooner rather than later. too bad by that time Forbe's won't be around anymore having gone they way of the dodo. like Rep. Lauren Bobert and "MTG", America's first sentient meme congresswoman, the new faces and leaders of the republican party and who will be drafting it's policies and setting it's direction for the foreseeable future, you all of a sudden find yourself on an ever shrinking island that nobody wants to visit. you're failing to see the big shift that is coming in this country. republicans are finding it harder and harder to get elected in fair, un-gerrymandered, and voter repressed races. the right hasn't gotten the popular vote in over 2 decades now. they are now the party of bigots, racists, and the uneducated. while Democrats have the bona fides that show they are the party of the middle class, for the middle class. the party with solutions, not just complaints. the party with an actual focused agenda and the plans to carry out that agenda at no cost to those who can least afford it. just looking at the facts the Biden administration has been the most effective, redefining and consequential administration EVER. (statistically Trumps administration is widely seen and factually ranked as the least productive and worst in American history.) you are on the wrong side now. Democrats are who you should be supporting if you care at all about a stable economy and steady economic growth. not the chaotic anti-small-business, anti-worker, anti-farmer, and economic killing policies that are all the republican's can muster. just look at how Trump decimated farmers, and the manufacturing sector of our economy with false promises and shallow assurances of his mental superiority. only a total idiot will spend so much time telling people he's smart. real smart people show their intelligence in their actions. they don't have to try to convince you at every rally and public speaking gig he does. the right has become the party of grievance and victimhood. like their leader, all they do is complain and whine about how bad white Americans have it nowadays. sorry to burst your pity party but you did it to yourselves. you made the bed that he cheated on his wife and new born son with a porn star to be later convicted of 34 felonies for trying to cover it up in, now you have to lay in it.

It’s a pleasure to listen to Pete respond …he’s intelligent, articulate and very knowledgeable . He’s someone who can listen and always answers in a respectful manner no matter the tone of the person asking him questions.

If you think it's not biggie for a wheelchair bound person to travel by air...just Google : " *passenger had to CRAWL OFF THE PLANE* " and down those metal steps to the tarmac. And it has happen many times!!!

I just flew on Alaska Airlines, and they provided me a wheelchair when I got to the airport. But there is no way a wheelchair could fit in their bathrooms. Even without a wheelchair it was difficult to fit in the bathroom!

Pete needs to be brought to justice and arrested for taking our right to drive a gas car, we don't want to make business with transportation.

We need to vote blue. Biden and his administration need to stay working and accomplishing much needed improvement of our infrastructure and transportation. Democrats want to move this country into the future. Republicans want to go backwards.

I hear Pete talk and I’m shocked! Why did this smart young man get into American politics? He is clearly in the wrong place. It’s like watching a Yale man in a kindergarten classroom! He is not ancient? He is not a braggart? He is not a bazillionaire? He speaks in a clear and coherent informed manner? He is clearly brilliant. I’ve never seen this and I’m completely confused. Surely the Washington hate machine wouldn’t poison their well of cult personality and mediocrity, and allow a real live, smart good man into their big tent! Shocking! All I am saying, is give Pete a chance.

I think federal transportation policy should have completely removed their funding of highways and roads and put it all into trains and active mobility. That's not because highways aren't important, but it's because we have too many of them. Cities can't afford to maintain the highways they already have, so why in the world would we help them build even more of them. It will just push them closer to bankruptcy. Pete knows city budgets better than anybody since he turned around South Bend. In America, after WW2 we built more roads than we can afford to fix. The future of America is a future with less roads than there are today. So that federal money would be better spent on projects that will provide benefits in the future like High Speed Rail, trams, subways, BRTs, and bicycle path networks.

I appreciate the video of this exchange. It was civil, respectful, and I learned a thing or two.
