What state are you in?

Appears to be oxidized Chalcopyrite - resulting in oxidation minerals azurite and malachite. The reddish-brown is oxidized Pyrite. The native Gold is a bonus.

I had the thought the other day to take a fresnel lens out into the desert,melt enough sand to make many giant fresnel lenses,then turn a sand dune into a literal glass house.

I built the same rig, worked out great.
