#37 Colorful Top inspired by "Crochet Fanática"
I was supposed to finish a colorful cardigan for a colleague of mine, but I have too much left on it, so I decided to make a beautiful and colorful cardigan in between the "battles". This summer top is quite easy to make, and it doesn´t take too long to make it either. It is inspired from an amazing creator from Madrid in Spain who calls herself "Crochet Fanática". She is both on UA-cam and on Instagram, and I discovered all her beautiful creations on Instagram, and I will recommend taking a look at her content, - especially if you are fond of colors.

#36 Crocheting a few Bucket hats and a t-shirt
Переглядів 2029 годин тому
Inspired by Passioknit Kelsie, as many others, I have turned to the tutorial she looked up and learned how to make a #grannysquare or #grannystich bucket hat. I also use up my beautiful blue acrylic yarn making a small t-shirt, and I win yarn chicken, ju-hu... I hope you enjoy, like and subscribe :-) The tutorial is this: Knotted Hook Crochet: ua-cam.com/video/_sfGKGsWa4M/v-deo.htmlsi=B1eSeUsW8...

I thought it was about time for me to read a pattern and try following it, so here we go. I had my ups and downs, but in the end I got a quite good result, I think. I also made a beautiful blue top, or t-shirt, - a lot thicker, but I adore the colors. #crochet #crocheting #yarn #crochetaddict #ganchillo #hekle #handmade #hekling Garnstudio.com

I had such a great time making this video. It is kind of satisfying seeing "all" of your makes at once. And apart from that colors make me happy, so I am enjoying making the #grannysquare #cardigan for my collegue. And last, but not least, I am really proud and happy that I have managed to make two owlhats inspired (or copied) from April´s amazing personalized hats. You should check out "The Co...

The mesh cardigan seems to be quite correct sizewise, even though my friend yet has to try it on hehe... I also think that the #grannysquare cardigan will be pretty cool colorwise, even though I didn´t think so in the first place. #crochet #crocheting #grannysquare #cardigan #ganchillo #hekle #crochetaddict #yarn #handmade #hekling

I promised I would film a bit from our celebration of National Day of Norway, the 17th of May, so I did. I hope you enjoy that as well as the crocheting part. In this vlog I finish a green mesh bag for a friend, two bikini-tops for no-one in particular, and I start a blue mesh cardigan for a friend of mine. #mesh #cardigan #bikini #bikinitop #nationalday #crochet #crocheting #crochetaddict #hek...

It didn't go as hoped for Norway at Eurovision. I mention a little bit about this, but my main focus in this vlog is finishing three cardigans and one sweater. In addition to that, I also talk a bit about Norway´s recent history and the origen of our national day, which is the 17th of May. We celebrate it quite differently from other countries. In my next vlog I will take you with me on the cel...

I also talk about some "fun" things about myself, - or maybe some would say strange and silly things about myself ;-) I really enjoyed making this video, but I found it difficult to crochet at the same time as I was talking, - at least for parts of the...

Some of my viewers requested a tutorial for the white cardigan I made some videos ago (nr. 19: ua-cam.com/video/4GZVkTQhqx4/v-deo.htmlsi=jV4T0iF2d227KFJR), so I rolled up the sleeves and went to work. Lovely hats, Linda!! They are absolutely beautiful!! It’s pretty hot here, too!! Almost the same as there. We’re at 90 degrees F which is about 32 degrees Celsius I think. So what are you doing with your beautiful bucket hats? Do you gift them or sell them? I know people would be thrilled either way 😊 The flowers are very cute! 💜💙💙
Wow, it's a fantastic, i really like this top, thank you for sharing it with us.😊😊❤❤
You are welcome. Crochet Fanática is amazing.
Amazing, Linda!! Looking forward to the rest of your work!! 💜💙💜
Thank you 🙂. Yes, I need a few more days to complete that cardigan. It is a lot of work.
Great job🎉
Thank you 🙂
I love the hats! Great job! Another good video! ❤
Thank you so much, April 😀. Now I am really on a roll, - I have connected the back panel for the colorful cardigan, so I might finish the cardigan this weekend, - which I never would have thought looking at all my pieces hehe... I can´t wait to see the video from your market. Hoping for it tomorrow, but maybe it´s the next one?
@@lindasakseide282 I filmed last week of me getting ready by doing a mock set up & preparation. So I had to make it a 2 part because I had too much to share. I think both videos will be great! But it works out because I’m trying to get ready for my daughter’s grad party on Saturday.
@@thecozybuckeye Excellent 😉
Who keeps calling these bucket hats , bucket hats are flat on top like a bucket , the top should start like a coaster. These look like sunhats ..not your fault but many crocheters are calling them buckets whem they are not .. lovely though. 🤠
You´ve got a point, but actually, when you start them, they are flat on top hehe, - but since the yarn is so "bendy", it is not flat for long. But the small green one was NOT flat on the top, - it bent straight away, so I probably made a mistake on that one 😉
@@lindasakseide282 I've seen a few people that doesn't look like buckets..it's just lost somewhere lol
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has that kind of trouble with following patterns (that chart looked diabolical!). Both tops came out looking very nice, though- I love those colors in the blue one!
Thank you so much 😀. Yes, pattern are tricky, - really hard. But in combination with just observing the picture and reading a bit of the pattern, it came out good in the end 😉
Haaland is wonderful! I love the cornrows (hairstyle). I've made a few dolls/amigurumi, and faces are *the hardest part.* It helps if you have a pretty good knowledge of embroidery as well as crochet. It also helps to be fastidious enough to rip out & redo things a few- or quite a few- times; or else easygoing enough to appreciate the joy of a little goofiness.
Thank you for your WONDERFUL comment 🙂. Cornrows, - thanks, I have heard that, but I would never have remembered it, so thanks. I have embroidered some in my youth, so I guess with a little (read: LOT) of patience it should work hehe...
OMG too cute ,, how do you make shorts!?
Thank you 😃. Making shorts I start normal by the waistline and when I get to where I want to have the legs, I chain 5 or 8 (or more, depending on the size of the shorts) in the middle and then I connect the chain on the other side and make one leg first. Then I do the same for the second leg, and in the end I close the gap in the middle Did that make sense?
@@lindasakseide282 makes sense but I'll have to watch tee-hee
@@PEDALSnPROJECTS Ok, - let me see if I can show it in another video 😉
@@lindasakseide282 😁
He reminds me of the Punch and Judy puppet😊

Yes, luckily you get more and more used to it and you accept it, - because "your mother" can´t correct it for you anymore hihi... That´s me hehe...
Awww I would be proud of your first doll!!! I absolutely love him ❤❤❤❤❤
Ahhh, thank you, - that is so sweet hihihi... 😊
Thank you from the UK
Thank YOU for watching 😉
Love that top!
Thank you 🙂
That is a beautiful view from your balcony. I like youtube because I cannot read patterns. The top turned out very nice.
Thank you so much 🙂. Yes, I love my terrace and the views 😉. I "agree" with you, - tutorials or just looking at pictures is better than reading patterns hehe. But now I have tried, and in the end succeeded, so I guess I can do it again sometime hehe...
You could make granny square bucket hats in Xmas or flag colors for the craft fair
Good suggestions 🙂 Great ideas. I have been thinking of granny square bucket hats, but flags are also a cool idea. Thank you 😀
Lovely 🌹
Thank you so much 🙂
Love the tops!
Thank you so much 😀
Hello my Lovely Linda!! I absolutely love the yarn you use!! And your makes are amazing as usual!! Keep up the great work!! Thanks for sharing 💙💜💙
Thank you so much for your very sweet and kind words ❤. I really appreciate it, and I will keep up crocheting, - you bet hihihi...
What a WONDERFUL celebration you had!! You led the children with so much enthusiasm!!! So happy you shared this with us!!🙂 Lovely bag and beginning of cardigan!! 💙💜💙
Thank you so much 🙂. Yes, we had a wonderful day, and I always give it "my all" hehe...
Oh my have you been busy! I am so incredibly impressed with all of your designs. I think my favorite is the white & pink cardigan. I was at another graduation today when I saw the TikTok of you and the owl hat so of course I had to watch this video as soon as I had a minute. I can’t believe you made an owl hat and that you mentioned me in your video. You are so sweet! Before you know it you will be designing hats too. I have never made a sweater, but I have stacks of granny squares needing to be put into projects. I was thinking of making a granny square tote. Anyway, thank you so much for making my day today. It’s been a rough week and I needed that! Much love to you Linda! Keep up the good work. ❤
Thank YOU so much 😉. I am also very fond of the white and pink cardigan. It is so fresh with those colors.. I had to look up the word "tote", but it didn't have a translation in Norwegian, so I had to google pictures and I found out that is a bag, right? I am sure you will really enjoy making it if you just start, - like with your plushies, - now you can´t stop hehe... Wishing you all the best with all your makes, and I can´t wait to see how your market will do this summer with all of those lovely soft and beautiful colored plushies you have made. I hope you will be filming from it ❤
@@lindasakseide282 Yes, a tote is a bag & I will be filming my market. I’m looking forward to it, but am nervous as it’s quickly approaching.
@@thecozybuckeye I hope you're not nervous for having enough makes (plushies and everything), because you have made a lot of stuff, so I am sure you will be successful, especially them being so cute and all...

I can't get into chrochet as much now as I do in the winter but I'm trying to do light stuff
Is it because of the heat? That it is too warm to be crocheting heavy stuff? I crochet either way hihi... If it gets too hot, I just sit inside with my aircondition on hehe 😉

Hi Linda from Ireland I really love the top /cardigan your making for your friend.the selection behind you are gorgeous.your so creative.love watching.💝💝
Ah, how wonderful to hear from you, and what kind words 🙂. Thank you so much.
Hi Linda. Do you follow a pattern or do you just self design by eye. My daughter has spotted a crochet shirt and i'm going to give it a go but not sure regarding the collar shaping. I live in the UK but am lucky to have a house in sunny Spain. Love your pod. Its an awning in UK x
Wow, how cool 😀 you have a house here in Spain ❤. Where in Spain is it? I live in Málaga, or just outside, near Fuengirola. I haven't followed a single pattern, - I have never even read one, in crocheting that is. Knitting, I have to read pattern if it has a color pattern like a star or something. I should try reading one though... The collar is always a challenge, but I normally get through it with both feet on the ground hahaha... But sometimes I have to try a couple of times before I get it right 😉.
I admire your ability to jump in and start a project just from looking at a picture! Do you use 100% cottton for your cardigans?
Thank you so much 🙂. Yes, I use Safran from Drops on most of them, and Melissa (a bit thicker) on "the rest". Both are 100% cotton. The Melissa is a Spanish brand as I understand it.
We call it a shade cloth in Australia 🙃
Thank you Tina 🙂. I will try to remember that, - a shade cloth.

Wow Linda!!🤩 I really love your pink cardigan!!💖The size of the granny squares, the positioning of them, the stitching all around, the fit, the sleeves, cuffs and the length are perfect!! It’s not in your face, like some Granny Cardi’s are. Your Cardi complements the body and is very tasteful!!👏 I love pockets on everything so I vote pockets!👍 For me, this is my very favourite Granny Cardigan ever!!😍 I wish there was an exact tutorial for yours but I know I can slowly figure it out, using pictures of yours as a guideline. It would be my very first Cardi! Thank you Linda!! I appreciate you!!🤗😘🦋🌷🇨🇦
Wow, what a fantastic "review" 😉and comment 😀. I really appreciate that you have taken the time to be so thoroughly and specific of what you like 🙂. I actually made a tutorial of it, just bigger and in other colors, - that was my last video (#29), but of course you can also find out yourself, - it is not really that difficult. I didn´t get any response on my Tik-Tok for pockets or not, so I just put them on. You can see that in my next video. Thanks again, - you made my day ❤
I love the pastel colored small granny squares summer top so much! It reminds me of a top I had bought and wore back in the early to mid 1970’s!! The colors were earth tones of deep yellow/gold, orange, deep green, browns and beige. I loved it so much and have been thinking that I should try to make it but in the pastels. It was virtually, the exact same top!! I love the colors and the combinations of different stitches in your second summer top too!! The textures and eye appeal are so fun!! I just came across your channel earlier today. I am really enjoying your story times and the way you create your projects! It’s like going on a fun adventure with you every time you pick up your hook and I pick up mine! New subscriber from Greater Vancouver, B.C., Canada.👋🤗🥰🌷🇨🇦
AAaahhh, you make me so happy :-) I really love that you can find joy and company in my projects and my stories while crocheting yourself.
