The Pad King Green All Rounder pad - a more versatile and durable pad than the popular blue pads
Since 2014 with my discovery of a French company who produced the 50 ST 20 blue foam which would later become known as the SDO/HDO blue, I thought this was the most universal foam pad ever but after scouring the globe since October last year for more versatile and durable foams, I discovered a foam that my testers and I thought was fantastic and thus I had it modified a little and produced and it's now my #1 selling pad and has completely stolen the crown from the blue pad as the most universal and versatile foam I've ever seen and used and I will be making it better with GEN II in 2025 and GEN III in 2026-27
The benefits of this pad in GEN I form (GEN II coming soon but GEN I will always be available to those who prefer that style)
Same cut or fractionally more than the Blue foam
More thermally stable - retains more of it's firmness longer
Finishes down better in almost all cases
Works on all machine types
Rounded edge profile means excellent results even on rotary most often
Products it works great with
3D One
3D ACA 510
3D ACA 520
Sonax Perfect Finish
Sonax Ultimate Cut 6 +
Glisten heavy cut compound
GEN II design mods/improvements
7 mm rubber foam interface layer to transfer more power to the paint
Helps the pad retain it's shape and prevents velcro delamination by protecting the 100-120 deg celcius temperature resistant adhesive from breaking down as the compounds/polishes cannot reach the velcro layer
Thinner foam version (16 mm) for more cut and excellent finish
Thicker custom waffle version for rotary polishing in 3, 5 and 6 inch diameters
The Pad King brand was created to supply the detailing and crash repair/restoration industries plus motoring/detail enthusiasts with the very best current foam pad technology pushed to it's limits design wise and eventually all new custom made foams that are more durable and versatile plus to push the boundaries of fiber pad technology as well as introduce new pad materials never seen before that save time, increase quality, reduce steps and achieve desired results easier and never thought possible
This is my passion, mission and vision for as long as I am alive and kicking to give back to the industry I love.
Join me on this journey by becoming a customer of Matt's Magic Detail Tech by purchasing The Pad King polishing pads soon at "thepadking.com.au" in 2025 with this pad and an ever evolving range of polishing pads and any solution based products that solve industry issues

Yeah it's not gunna happen making a compound and polish with good cut and polish then using prep spray before a coating.p.s using a prep spray is no different to when your wiping off compound... Lol. Clearly

Great video. Thank you! I'm doing a 2 step using Sonax Cut max on my trashed paint Tundra. Getting great results with rotary and Lake Country purple hybrid wool. Going to use Perfect Finish to finish it out, but don't have that yellow pad. I do have lake country orange and black. Is that orange too aggressive for perfect finish as a final step? I'm afraid the black one isn't aggressive enough since it's just a finishing pad, enough to get out any haze cut max has caused.

Hello and thanks for commenting on my video. Yes the purple hybrid wool pad is a great one, maybe the greatest as it has foam interlaced within it. The orange pad I would say is between a medium/intermediate pad and a finishing pad so should be quite nice actually. The Gold pads will be here in October and are a great combo as you've seen with PF but others I recommend are Zvizzer Thermo All Rounders and Thermo Detailer Line and the Thermo Trapeze foams. All Rounders work great on all types and the orange or yellow would be my choice for step 2. The Gold pad is a brilliant one. Cut 3-4 Gloss 9. I don't know what level of experience you have but one trick with rotary is to refine as you cut by slowing the machine speed down, increasing arm speed for the last two passes by double and reducing pressure to just machine weight or very light pressure. Keep those pads clean too.

@@mattsmagicdetailtechaustralia When you say the pads will be "here", I can order those from you? I'm in US. And thanks so much for the rotary tips. I've always used my DA polishers, but decided a little while back to get a rotary. I've used it quite a bit but still learning for sure! I did not know that so will give it a shot.

@@TheObsessedPatriot yes you most certainly can, I have a pro detailer in north carolina who is testing for me right now. Of course shipping is expensive between our two countries so what I suggest is that you contact me via my site - mattsmagic.com.au - very much still a work in progress and too text heavy but will change that. just use the register your interest link even though the site was originally geared up for training detailers which I do less now as pad development is more my focus . Which state in the USA are you in? as my range expands and evolves and my after burner pad and other never used before material based pads are released and I really get down to generation 2, 3 and beyond perhaps a US sales agent might be good. But big market and saturated with pads so they will have to be very special. I highly suggest my green pad for starters, the HDO Blue Rival - testers getting slightly more cut and same or even better finish

@@mattsmagicdetailtechaustralia This is so awesome. As a certified life coach, I love seeing people like yourself thinking big and going big places. Nothing makes my day more. Just from reading your website bio, I bet you'll knock it out of the park. I'm one that will pay more to small business or independent sellers to keep the money out of corporate hands and in the hands of those that truly care. I'm only one, but I'm not alone!! There are millions of us. Yeah it's a saturated market, but there is no market so saturated that there is no entry points. It takes innovators like yourself to do what every industry needs, disrupt!! The fact that you could foresee microfiber pads speaks volumes. I remember when the claybar became a thing. Haha And look at what mushroomed from that one simple idea and process.

Great advice. What cleaner are you using there, Matt, or do you generally recommend for pad washing?

    • @mattsmagicdetailtechaustralia

It's a combination of Leather Cleaner, a base ingredient for a laundry liquid and a rinseless cleaning chemical from Dominant. But I have other variants too. Leather cleaner is always the main ingredient as unlike APC's it doesnt dry out and discolour the foams.
