1st cut out dead and broken branches.
2nd establish scaffolding / main branches in a vase / open center structure
3rd cut out branches from the tree center
4th trim lateral branches to 2 feet on one year old wood and two buds on two year and older wood
5th cut crossing branches.

In this video, I show you the whole process of adjusting the valves on Honda Civic, CRX or Del Sol. Due to the lack of hydraulic lifters on the D15 series four cylinder, Honda suggests a valve adjustment every 25,000 (40,000 km). But I personally think you can have a longer interval between adjustments.
