The Golden Loop Motorbike Adventure - Day 3
A three day motorbike ride from Chiang Mai to Nan, Chiang Rai and back to Chiang Mai. Riding a Honda CRF250 Rally and riding on and off road in search of the best curved roads of Thailand.
Today was mostly being lost on the 4044 and then the 107 home. Great scenery.

Today was mostly the famous 1081 road with the 3 curve corners. The views were spectacular all day and was hard to capture on the action camera.

Went for a ride out to the famous 33 curves road. Very nice and quiet spot for a ride.
Honda CRF250 Rally in the dry forests around Chiang Mai

Some exploring around Chiang Mai. Lots of tight single tracks where it is hard to see where you are going and not ideal to have mirrors on. Its also very, loose and slippery.

Well done, hope the knee is OK.
Was it really crowdd on NYE?
It was not very crowded but it was a time soon after COVID so less tourists in general. Still much less crowded than in town.
Thanks for sharing mate, what a beautifull route, i use Garmin xt with Birdseye, for precise remote riding, i recognised the intersection in Chiang mai, can be a long wait there, i 'll be there in a couple weeks, thumbs up from Hua Hin👍 Subscribed👍
Good stuff mate, i was there on my 250 Rally, big fun, be headed there on my 300, safe travels👍👍
Honda wave is the best!!! 😂😂😂
Why didn't you show the crash
Didn't have the camera on.
Excellent
Great video

CrapGameRides meets QuentinRides 😂. Found you via the duro tire vid... Thats a nice looking trail.. Where exactly is it. so far ive only taken dirt tracks up Doi Suthep on my recently aquired CRF 250 L ... Cheers 🍻 *CrapGame* 🎉
It starts just on the north of this place. Then you can explore lots of trails in this area. maps.app.goo.gl/5TnTATZj9JYXSbp77
Also lots of options from here to explore maps.app.goo.gl/5TnTATZj9JYXSbp77
Attractive price ... Cost me $30 for a rear shipped here in Thailand ... Cheers 🍻. I'll See how it does *Crap Game* 🎉
Can we use 34t chainring in slr 2 n slr 1
I have put a 32T on now and it looks like there would be room for 34T but maybe the limit
@@quentinrides thx u so much ❤️
Nice and good bike
Thanx mate. How tall are you? Is Giant true in size? I am 171cm (5.6) and looking for M
I am 175cm and this is a Medium. I did put a 10mm shorter stem on later as it was just a little long for me.
S ?
t's a very good review. I ordered it today and received it at home.
Enjoy it
SIMPLE = PERFECTION , nice color
Thai?
Yes
OK, better than stock IRC on the road but maybe not quite as good in sand and mud.
How is the traction?
That's a great little trail. I'm actually moving to Chiang Mai next week and plan on buying a CRF300, is this a well known route and do you by any chance have a gpx file of it ?

@Quentin Excellent, thanks mate.
Looks like a fun trail
Yes I was too far away because I was far up a mountain. I was nervous to fly too far in the dark.

Hello would you recommend this or the XTC SLR 1 ?
The SLR 1 is better so I would prefer that but also your budget is important. I can afford only the SLR 2.
@@quentinrides Have you had any problems with the Praxis Crank ?
@@tshewangbhutia6956 My first ride the pedal came loose and ruined the thread on the crank arm. I think this is more my fault or cheap pedal fault the cranks seem good otherwise.
Yes at only $200 it is definitely worth upgrading. The difference for me was closer to $500 for the SLR1 and none was available in medium. Yes a 32T is much better. When I replaces the Praxis cranks I put on Shimano SLX with a 32T chainring. I can ride up 15-20% grades without problems. The brakes and upgraded drive train with SLX and XT is definitely worth $200.
@@quentinrides Thankyou for helping me out, XTC SLR 1 it is then 👍🏻
What kind of fork is that?
Giant Crest 34 100mm
Wow nice vlog
Nice . Where is this place
Chiang Mai, Thailand 🇹🇭
@@quentinrides I'm from India
@@AssamExpressNE Yes I see. I have been to India many times but only to Assam once. It is a beautiful place.
I Like this cycle
Gorgeous color. Did you weigh it ?
I did weigh it and it was 11.98kg without pedals. Medium size.
@@quentinrides thanks Quentin. That is very light for a bike in that price range. And are you happy with the fork ?
@@enricolionello9044 The fork is good for the price. 34mm stanchions make it stiff and direct. With only air pressure and rebound adjustment it lacks the refinement of higher end Fox or Rockshox forks but better than anything else in the price range. Remote Lockout is a bonus. No noises or problems so far.
Happy new year

Nice man
You must be reaching like 50-60kph going down
In the dry I got over 50km/h but in the wet only about 40km/h
Super cool 😎
Awesome view
