Chainsaw Sharpening, Keep Your Saw Sharp
Had mine for around 10 years with zero problems. Great little pistol for under $200.
I had an issue with mine with the magazine popping out when shooting. I sold it and got the ruger lcp 2 and then gave her her the lcp 2 for her purse. I agree these fanboys had a ruger lcp with no problems. If these guys in the comments looked into it, theyd see there is ALOT of issues with the ruger lcp 1
Many Thanks guy ❤
Carry mine off and on duty in .22LR.
Out of curiosity, are you left handed?
This is not a battery latch repair. This is a battery lid replacement. There are no instructions on how to remove the pins to repair the broken latches or clips.
I've bought several of these too. I use them at work. I really like them. Compact, inexpensive, easy to carry in the shirt pocket and they throw a good usable beam of light. Evidently they changed the name now, they are Braun now. I haven't bought one of the new name lights but did intend to get one at the local stores sidewalk sale.
Great little light for sure! Thanks for the comment!
I think it would be great for my little Arms 25 automatic. Lots of ways to use it too.
Prefer with the handle the same width as the blade.
For sure!
you could put it into scout carry under your belt buckle like the Skallywag Tactical MDV Plus One
Great idea, sure could!
I really like my "Bird & Trout" knife. It's so handy to hang off the little finger & let it swing free of my grip when I need both hands during dressing Trout. I have the larger version as well. A friend donated his "B&T" to me because he never uses it.
Agreeded, it is a fun usefully little knife! Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for you video!!!, you help me a lot!
You bet, thanks!
The best switchblade out there is made by BUCK knife, last time I checked it ran around $200. It is a standard 110 that has been made into an auto by BUCK itself so it carries the lifetime warranty just like any other BUCK knife and has all the standard features that the 110 is famous for- it's a workhorse
What fire striker is that?
Exotac! I think there micro!
I received a Storm 450 from Amazon today and the latch arm broke on the first try. Amazon support allow me to return it and they will send me a full replacement.
I had a 400 latch arm fail after two years, and they warrantied it and replaced the whole headlamp with a 450. The latch arm on that one lasted less than a year and I just got the same replacement part as you but they didn't include instructions on how to replace. This video was helpful and made it an easy repair, so thanks! I'm still skeptical about the design. That latch arm seems like such an obvious failure point that it shouldn't be made from plastic.
I just ordered one of these in all-black for my Kimber R7 Mako (wonderful pistol). Odd though, it's only available for the Mako on Kimber's website. When I was 6'1" and 280lbs I hated IWB carry. I've since lost 45lbs and although I can now carry IWB more comfortably, guess what?........I STILL hate IWB carry!😂 OWB for me with this one. Thanks! Nice video.
Been a Black Diamond user since 2019 and have owned 4 BD headlamps but this model is the only one that the latch got broken in half today. I have no idea where to order it in my country since the only store that used to carry BD headlamps has not been carrying the brand since post pandemic. It sucks that it happened to me today and I have a fieldwork next week so I had to order a Petzl with the same lumens as the Storm 450 as an emergency measure. I feel bad for BD since my old Storm model still works like clockwork.
🇺🇸 PRESIDENT TRUMP 2024 🇺🇸
I’ve had mine for 12 years and saved my bacon twice .. mine always been relatively reliable and great for pocket carry
Had my Coyote one for about 2 years… looks more beat up than yours. (Took some aluminum black and coated it yesterday to get rid of most of the bare aluminum. Worked.. but looks a little wonky now lol. Ordered a back up battery yesterday for a “just in case” scenario. Love these lights… just have to make sure to go to an authorized dealer to make sure it’s not a counterfeit. Ordered one from Amazon and it came in a plain white box. Obviously not a real Streamlight. Went to Bass Pro and picked it up cheaper than Amazon. They wanted 38 on Amazon. Got it at Bass Pro (and peace of mind it’s real) and got it for 27 out the door for Memorial Day sale. (Originally $31.99)
Same.
Get an LCP II or Max
There’s a few things to consider with this method: you are assuming that the reticle of the scope is exactly perpendicular to the scope base, which isn’t always the case. Also when torquing the rings down you might introduce tension which might end up with the scope not being level. So you will still need to check with spirit levels after mounting the scope. It’s all not that critical if you shout out to 100 or 200 yards but 1 or 2 degrees cant will result in a miss at 100 yards.( up to almost 25 “ )
Well mine has no problems, I found center on my front sight , punched it with a cenerr punch and drilled into it about a 1/32 of an inch in with a very fine bit! Next l put bright orange nail polish in the hole. Mine is the original LCP and I have had no problems with it ! This is not a 25 yard gun but I would shoot at about 7 yards and most confrontations happen with in that range. If you get a chance to get an original and it function flawlessly, Remember what I did .Then get a big piece of cardboard at 7 yards on a range .Draw a 4 inch circle with a black magic marker in the center of the card board and color in the circle. Next ,try to shoot THE CENTER OF THE CIRCLE! This will show you where your pistol is hitting! MINE HITS A little high so I shoot a little lower, Range time on these little guns is very important!!! I don't mind the trigger, It's that way for Safety Purposes ! I REMOVED THE SLIDE AND TOOK A PIECE OF LEATHER , PLACED IT AROUND THE SLIDE WHERE IT MADE CONTACT IN MY VICE ,TIGHTENED IT SNUG WITHOUT Over Tighten and BENDING IT !!! Then MEASHURED, PINGED ,DRILLED AND PAINTED IT, Remember to always check your firearm before doing anything ! Especially your E.D.C, Treat All Firearms as if they were loaded! And any Altrications made BY YOU to your Firearms is YOUR decision and YOU RESUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY!
I had the very same problem, and always cleaned and oiled it. They could have just made the extractor from stainless steel to avoid these problems. It wasn’t your fault! The dammed thing is just junk! Get a Glock 43, and be done with it!
You and I have the same problem, we like to "fix it". I have a similar model and it had the same issue. I sent it back to Ruger. They said it was fixed, it wasn't. I sent it back again and it turned out they needed to replace the slide. It works. Lesson, always and frequently test your carry option, let the manufacturer "fix it".
Get yourself a bottle of original Tetra Gun Lubricant with synthetic fluoropolymers and a half ounce plastic applicator bottle with a needle dispenser. Fill the applicator bottle with the Tetra lubricant. Apply a couple of drops of Tetra in the hole behind the extractor every couple of weeks and your rusting issue will disappear. You can apply a light cost of Tetra on the slide and wipe the excess off with a clean cloth. You can actually see the Tetra being absorbed into the metal of the slide. There now may be better lubricants on the market. I've alawys had great results with the original Tetra Gun Lubricant so that what I use.
I just got the latch problem couple month ago and I try to reach out black Diamond today to see what will happen...
I had a good experience, hope you do too! Thanks for the comment!
You should have immediately sent it back to Ruger for repair. You should always fire a minimum of 200 rounds through the pistol you are going to carry to protect your life. Some guns just need to be returned to the manufacturer and your pistol is one of them.
You should have oiled gun once in awhile. Needs oil boss. Failure to lube causes rust.
Nice overview, man! 🔥😎
Thanks!
I use the Velcro straps on the sheath to hold my farro rod and striker.. works well!
Great idea! Thanks!
Where can you buy ???
I picked it up from Harbor Freight!
I also had terrible luck with the LCP. Cleaned regularly and everything, but it just got to where it would fail to eject every other round. Didn't start happening until around 200 rounds or so.
Well you aren't the only one that is having issues. Dang that's frustrating, do you have any idea what the issue is?
made in china. low quality
Funny, I have owned my LCP for over three years and. No problems. I did replace my takedown pin. Plastic from the factory and I found an aluminum one even though the plastic one didn’t fail. I just kept the plastic pin for a spare. I did have a failure to feed when it was new. Put 200 rounds through mine and no problems after that. I use mine for a backup now. I just wanted a more powerful pistol for concealed carry.
I connected this clipper with Leatherman Micra using swivel. They are always in poket of my messanger pouch. Thanks for review! Good luck!
Great tip! Thanks!
Yea mine sux balls. It's the 2 though in 22. It is NOT good
Thanks for the comment, yeah I have pretty much retired this pistol at this point!
Never had a problem in 500 rounds. If you think this is the worst you never had a Jennings !
HAHA...... yeah it could always be worse LOL
The Jennings... I made that mistake when I was 20 what a POS LoL
@@nathandevine552 I’m 60 and I made that mistake almost 40 years ago !😎
@@rickyshultz2051 almost 30 years ago for me😉 I really like the lcp I think it's a very reliable pocket rocket
ua-cam.com/video/UWqruY2nz4c/v-deo.html you never said how thick the blade was. When you are dealing with a deer, it's better to have Opinel #8 or Opinel #9. #10 is already too unwieldy
I bought a used LCP, had failure to eject every 20 rounds or so. Went back to the shop, they sent it back to Ruger, returned in a couple months with no issues since. Ruger will replace if cannot be repaired. Still my favorite carry handgun.
I couldn't find the "LCP Pro" being sold anywhere and was confused about that... but then later (by accident) I ended up finding that they sold a model called the "LCP Custom" and that's the one that came out with the aluminum red trigger. I'm not sure about the slide serrations though. I've seen both "custom" versions and regular versions that have the same zig zag cut serrations. I'm not sure what they call it, but I think it looks better. Hope I can find one myself, but I might just have one cut since they always have to be Cerakoted anyways (because their bluing is about as effective as bare steel).
Guess you should learn to clean a gun properly....not the guns fault....mine works fine.
"I carried it for a year. 🤔 The extractor and spring were all rusted up" Did you ever clean it? Oil it? Doesn't sound like it. Operator malfunction!
That's the old style extractor setup that was prone to crudding up and rusting. Ruger has updated the design of the extractor.
I think your totally wrong... mine has been great for many years... sorry you can't shoot well.
Looks like a prybar 😛
Haha, you can use it like one too!
Can you use alkaline batteries in them? I thought the storms had sealed built- in batteries… seems like every video I see is different. Most be different features from different year models?
Yes you can use alkaline batteries, that is what I use. Diamond also sells a compatible lithium battery that is rechargeable, I believe it is called the DB 1500 battery. Hope this helps!
thanks for showing other uses
What are the wire cables called.
This is the exact title that is listed on Amazon I bought: "10 Inch Wire Keychain Cable Large Stainless Steel Key Ring Loop Holder for Outdoor Hiking Heavy Duty Connectable Luggage Tag Keeper for Sport and Travel, 20 Pack"
@@silveronthesage thank you
Hi! Thanks for the video. Is the replace latch noticeably harder/sturdier? Mine also broke today and I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle to contact the black diamond, or should I try to make one myself.
It appears to be holding up fine. I received the light with it already broken so I don't have a great understanding of the rigidity of the original latch! Hope this helps!
