Shuttle Saves the World! - A sci-fi comedy spoof.
This is a newly upscaled and tweaked version of "Shuttle Saves the World!"
"Galactic adventures abound as Earth's champion "Shuttle" faces the might of the evil galactic Emperor Vorkon!"
Is "Shuttle Saves the World! - Escape to Danger" the only surviving episode of a a classic Saturday matinee cinema serial which was thought lost forever 60 years ago?
Or is it perhaps a film by Westlake Films, celebrating the imagination, enthusiasm and silliness of the classic black and white serials such as Flash Gordon, Undersea Kingdom and Buck Rogers?
The story so far:
The Emperor Vorkon has come to claim the Earth as part of his empire. To prove his strength and prowess, he has challenged the people of Earth to submit their greatest champion to him at the ultimate trial of skill and courage in the known cosmos - badminton!
Enter George "Shuttle" Kipper. Legendary badminton player and the man determined to preserve the honour and freedom of humanity from the dark forces of Vorkon! With his companions, his trainer Carol Rogers, scientific advisor Dr. Kingarde, and newsmen Eddie Alexander and Pete Brady, the they have been brought across space to Vorkon's domain to face his badminton champion.
Vorkon however, fears Shuttle's astonishing badminton skills and decides that there is no depth to which he will not stoop to prevent the match from taking place. With Shuttle tricked away from his friends and trapped on the slave moon of Incarcerous, Vorkon thinks that Earth's humiliation is inevitable, but Shuttle breaks free and steals one of Vorkon's star rockets to make a surprise return to the arena.
But Vorkon has one last dastardly plan up his sleeve...

Have Often Imagined I Could One Day Properly Produce And Direct #LastDaysOfPompeii -~ Perhaps To Be Done As MiniSeries, Too Much To The Story, Such Brilliant Character Development; It Has Been Difficult To Bear Any Haphazard Facsimile. The Man Taught Me So Much; I Am Forever Enamoured And Grateful.
#WretchedWritersWelcome Perhaps My Favorite Writer Would Have Appreciated #DroningEnvelope
I still get nightmares!
I remember this one from so long ago. It's one of my favorite short films.
I vaguely remember seeing this long ago. It was exciting back then, and after seeing this again, it's still just as exciting. You people did a good job on this. 👍
Great 👍 documentary
Explication is required
very good. creepy ending tho 😳
Sorry Fans I Lost The Password To This Account However, I Be Uploading My Special Song Soon
1:06 aww baby Pertwee
A plethora of Pertwees!
This always brings a smile to my face, regardless how many times I watch it.
ITS A QUARRY
This is one of the most well made Doctor Who fan videos I seen.
Sounds like Gareth Preston
It has rewatchability. It needs a sequel.
Lovely
I agree with your favourite sequence, just brilliant. That 1950s almost rockabilly look set in some kind of warped, cartoonish setting not unlike Looney Tunes. Stylised to perfection and bloody hilarious.
Great lines coined. But in hindsight seen as a bad writer?
The man is missing a center tooth.
SPOOKY very good

excellent
Excellently done.
twist ending: one of the cybermen was his girlfriend all along.
Mary Todd Lincoln was an avid reader of Lytton's and seems to suggest the reason she was considered off her rocker. Oddly todd in Deutsch means dead. I have a PDF of Zanoni with her name in the scanned book but only part two. And the strange parallel between E.B.L. and Abraham's marital affairs.
Prolly Some Sneakities In The Footnotes
Thank you a million times over for this documentary. I live in the U. S. And am a big fan of his. Zanoni has made a Big impact on my life. It made me cry even after the second time reading it. Remember now that he said that Zanoni " it is a truth for those who can comprehend it, and an extravagance for those who cant". I want to share with you another tidbit of info about Zanoni. I read in an old English book at the UNLV library in Vegas about Lytton attending a seance and the channeler said to him "I am the spirit that influenced you to write Z" (Zanoni of course). True story. James in the U.S.😇👹✌
I, In Particular Appreciated, "The Fatherless Are The Children Of God."
Extremely well done. I really enjoyed this.
Manly Hall was viewed by the media in the 60's as a fringe lunatic. The secularity of the pretentious.
"Knowledge and atheism are incompatible. To know nature is to know that there must be a God." - E. B. Lytton
Alphabet
Very like Tsukamoto in style.
Always enjoyed this one. So nice to see this snazzy remaster! Would love to see Future Investment get the same treatment, one of my all time fave Doctor Who fan films. :)
I loved the video and so happy to see Lord Lytton get some well-earned attention but was anyone paying attention to the shoes the actor playing him was wearing? 😂 A pair of men’s black dress shoes wouldn’t have killed anyone.
Wardrobe Malfunction, #RipadeeDip
Bulwer-Lytton isn't forgotten in in this house....The Coming Race, Zanoni, A Strange Story, The Haunters & the Haunted....masterly works all.
Better than the recent Cybermen story.
This is quality UA-cam content! 10/10 for effort gone into this, liked and subscribed
Wow. I did not expect that. That was really good.
Very well done! Greatly appreciated, I love Lord Lytton, in particular, Zanoni and Vril:The Coming Race......and I have a soft spot for The Caxtons.
This is the best spinoff story for a Doctor Who villainy that I ever have seen. Just above the AUTON trilogy. Excellent twist ending. Thank you for posting it here in HD. 👏🏻
Hello! do you also make fiction films?? I've been working on a super cool short film about the beginning of life 🎞 It's currently playing on exclusive film festivals but we decided to also make it available on UA-cam, just search for "EXPERIMENTAL SHORT FILM BABY" It would be awesome if we work together on something, 👍 thanks a lot !
Most of the music was from the prisoner 😳🇬🇧🏴🤠
Oh dear xD poor K9 could be saving the world. Love K9's singing voice btw xD Great video :D
I don't think I ever saw this one! Really interesting - next time I'm in the area for an extended period (fall 2020 as I'm planning) I'd love to see more of the local history.
Glad you liked it. Probably escaped your attention because it didn't have any Giant Robot Space Princesses in it😉 My Granddad was really pleased with the film. He used to make visitors to his home watch the VHS copy I gave him! The mill we filmed inside is still open as a museum www.lancashire.gov.uk/leisure-and-culture/museums/queen-street-mill-textile-museum/ We'll try and get you there when you come over.
@@johnisles796 You're probably not wrong on that first point as much as I hate to admit it. :P I look forward to it! Will work with you guys on scheduling next year's outing so we can do some catching up.
1:03 LOL 1:06 Aww, little Baby Pertwee. Love all the Third Doctor references.
ua-cam.com/video/KXYgKjg4cUc/v-deo.html
What a lovely video. So nice of you to make a video of special memories of your grandfather. X
Never been a fan of the film or the comics myself. I can agree with the movie being seen as technically brilliant and well performed. I also appreciate it's dedication to staying true to it's source material and still weaving in so much pop culture. The problem is I just don't like the story. It seems an overcrowded morass of unlikeable hipsters in a confusing real-world fantasy. It's one of those weird productions that just won't fit into any single category. Is it comedy? rom-com? drama? action movie? fantasy movie? sci-fi? All of these? Damned if I know!
If he'd lived to see this footage Im sure JON PERTWEE would have seen the FUNNY side of this God love him !......lolol
