Exploring Upstate New York
A few months ago we took a trip to upstate New York. we decided that instead opf trailing out we would ride the motorcycles out with all the gear we needed for a four day trip. so i loaded up a very cheap amazon tail bag and a back pack and rode the 4 hours out to our air BNB in Salem. From there we explored the surrounding area which included thew lake George loop and traveling more west up 28 towards gore mountain before taking the trip north top essex to take the ferry across lake Champlain.

Had one. These bikes have an identity crisis. Too heavy for actual dirt use with too little suspension travel..and too heavy for street use with too much suspension travel.
we all know you like them loose and easy
Have you finish cb750 project ?
@@minnlwino_o7825 still slowly making progress on it. Life has been very hectic.
From what I’ve been hearing/reading, the ‘24 stock is better since the same compound as the 3+ is being used now.
Looks great. How far are your front and rear sprockets out of line
Hi what happens to the geometry video and when will it be out ? I am doing the change but I’m a little stuck with it and would like to no how you solved the headache ?.
Just got a set of Q5S for Aprilia 1100 v4, what are the cold pressures for front and rear for street and track?
@@nickbaker2268 i run 32 front and rear for the street. Track id probably drop down to 30.
@@motonewengland603 Thanks bro
did you ever complete this? i really like where it was going!
@@gillesderais1293 it’s still getting worked on life gets in the way sometimes and this year was very hectic and expensive, but I was just working on some suspension components this week, hopefully start devoting more time to it again in very near future
@@motonewengland603 thanks for the reply. i know the struggle. i have a 76 cb750 that ive had apart for years now. i like where you are going with yours.
THAT’S MY MOMMY
Could I know how you fixed you rear suspension is it a bolt on or did you need to weld a mount for it ? Really nice bike
@@Secucoreinc it will be a mix of bolts and welding. Still a work in progress, but the plan is to weld on bushing to the frame and weld a mounting plate to the frame under the seat so the R1 shock can mount there.
Probably an afterthought for you at this point but a 20mm od (or whatever your od needs to be) piece of round stock that you drill a 16mm (or whatever the id of the oem sleeve is) hole in and there you go. But that’s just my take. Awesome looking project either way.
@@Spydr6684 definitely would have been easier to do that. But I’m impatient, a bit cheap and had these parts haha.
@@motonewengland603 Understandable, I honestly would be the same way. It’s much easier as an outsider to make these observations.
Hello I have the same project with my XS650. I want to put an XJR 1300 swingarm and I have all the parts. I have the same problem, my swingarm pivot bolt is 16mm and the new XJR 1300 swingarm pivot bolt is 20mm. I can drill the frame hole or make a new Bushing like you ?
@@teurpi28 I wouldnt drill the frame as that’s going to carry part of the stress and I’m not sure how much it would weaken it. I would sleeve your original bolt. Measure the length you need and use some chrome moly tube. Either get the correct inside diameter (16mm) or get as close as you can to the 16mm depending what’s offered and use a lathe and drill the tubing out to 16mm. and then turn the outside of the tube down to 20mm.
Great job! Do you have the dimensions you turned down that tube/ sleeve? I’m getting ready to start my build later this fall.
That’s why I traded in my ZX6R cause of my carpel tunnel and sciatica :/ yep sucks getting older.
@@BigDogHDSPB I’m not ready to give it up yet but there is a sport tourer coming in the near future.
@@motonewengland603 yeah that’ll work 👍there’s great models from Kawasaki to Suzuki.
I want a gift, I watch every video and have subscribed to the channel
Hey man, awesome stuff! I do good in front of the camera! I wish I had better english to do so too... :) Are you going to do trackbike from this or what tat RR stand for?
I love it thanks
Nice work mate! Are all VFR made with same rear swing width? And what year was this swing donor bike?
VFR swing arms vary a bit. This one is from a 1993 model. If I could do it again I’d go with a later 90s model as they change the mounting system for the rear shock and it would have been easier to convert.
Thanks mate! I have keep this in my mind! 😊
Good stuff looking forward to seeing the next instalment….🏴😀
Fuck yeah!
Sounds like a blender 😂 I'm not sure I understand 😂
lol then I do not recommend a toce system for you.
Braaaaaaaaaap
Shalom
Congratulations man! Your names was picked on the live stream. Shoot me an email and motoNE603@gmail.com and I’ll ship it out to you asap.
Let’s ride!
Loving all the content, sweet shirt!
What rear end is that from? the bike is looking sexy as hell.
1993 Honda VFR 750
I like them but isn't the windscreen a little to vibration prone to put a camera there?
It’s more on the front fairing just below the windscreen so it’s fairly rigid, I haven’t had any issues with the stabilization on. As for the mount I’m testing it this week.
I wear backpack cause of the ride up on shirts and hoodies
My normal riding jacket snaps down to a belt. Works great.
Dope Hat
you better do the speed limit boyo, got that plate out for everybody to see
Honestly. It was about 5 over. I don’t shit where I eat.
hreat videos, looking forward to the progress
Great to see the 450 finally out for a spin. Hope you get better after that horrible Covid malarkey.
😮
It was me I was the buddy 😂
Brother, with respect. The bits are called insert or tool and you're turning not milling! Best of luck. Cool project.
You are absolutely right. It’s funny I know these things but you get try talking about it on the fly and it goes out the window. I apologize for the mistakes.
@motonewengland603 no apologies needed! But thanks 🤙🏽
Hi Chris, well done on breaking past the 100 subscribers. Keep on doing what you're doing and always go forwards. Take care. Shaun. 👍
Bike looks way better with the slightly higher bars fitted, 👍.
Thank you I thought so too. I was really happy with how it turned out.
Hello! I have a question. The Swing Arm fits into the CB Frame without any processing? And how do you solve the problem with the deflection? Thanks for the Video. Greatings from Germany.
Nice to see the 450 coming together 👍. Its a shame that the rear fender has been shortened, but its 100% better than the one its replacing. Keep up the great work, looking forward to seeing it up and running.
Thanks for showing clearly how the sliding pin rubber boots are supposed to install!!!
Thanks for Video! I just got a 1977 Suzuki GS 750! And I am definitely doing this project soon! I appreciate you sharing this!
That’s fantastic! Good luck!
The 450 is starting to come together great.
Should be riding by the end of the month.
Vary nice
Good to see you got the front end sorted. Did you know the front wheel has a slight ding it?
Thank you, I was definitely happy. I didn’t look all that close because that rim is not the one that’s going to go on it. That one happened to come with the front end. I have a matched VFR rim for the front, but I appreciate the keen eye.
Great bike brother and great work ❤
Thank you. It’s getting there.
@@motonewengland603 Sure it is 😇
Hit up cognito motor for the stem. They'll have the exact one needed and probably already on hand for shipping
Thanks for the lead! I’ve been emailing them just gotta press this one out to see which one I need to order.
I also used the VFR swingarm on my 81 cb
I love the single sided swing arm look.
I used a 05-07 gsxr front end using the all balls bearing set
Eventually it may get updated to an inverted set but i lucked into this front for basically nothing and i was a big update from the 81 OEM set up.
Which pair of front forks is better telescopic or inverted
Inverted are inherently stronger, add to that most if not all modern sport bikes use them the technology they are packed with is more advanced. However for this build the telescoping are more than adequate, it’s still a huge improvement from the original equipment.
Been waiting on this update on the RR..
