Viewed on 10/01/2024 and still no sound? Appears to be a great build though.
I’ll check it out and see if there’s an issue
I hope it can be fixed as I’d like to view the entire video with sound. Thanks for checking it.
That’s going to be a badass ride when you’re done. I love old mopar. I’m fixing to start on my floors for my 49 Plymouth and I’m gonna use your video to do them. Wish you had a video of the rockers you did on your dads car.
Thank you! Thanks for watching! Yeah, I wish I would’ve recorded that part too. They are really not that hard, just don’t trim too much out to start
@@gentrysgarage7956 yes sir. I will take my time and go at it slowly. I appreciate the advice and can’t wait to see more of your videos. They really are helpful. One day I hope to have a roadrunner in my garage.
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching and sharing!
@@gentrysgarage7956 you’re welcome. You videos are great information. So thank you.
Duramax that's what I'm doing in my 70s rollback. Dmax swap. Cut my harness Down. Works great
Awesome! I wanted to do a Duramax in it, but it was a budget build and Duramax is get kind of expensive. Maybe we’ll put a Duramax and something like that someday.
Looks good,
You guy..truck iwow
Thank you!
It’s looking good
Thank you
Very cool
Video: (unbolts hood, unbolts cowl) Saltbelt guy: f that guy. That doesnt happen. Lol great work.
I was very nervous about it because they like to twist loose so easy in the hood. It was a big relief that they came loose, but I did soak them for quite some time. Thanks for watching
Just found you today 9-8-24 and went through some of your vids on the 66 Plynouth and the 69 C50. All were very interesting. That 66 Plymouth was one of the prettiest designs MoPar came out with. If you are interested watch UA-camr Spray Way Customs. I followed his vids and on Sq Body Dash Crack Repair and my 85 C10 came out fantasic. I think that narrow pad dash in the 69 could be repaired the same way. Sprayway lightly stretches fleece fabric over the pad and converts it with resin and mat to fiberglass that can be spray painted. Take care Sir
Thank you! I have always loved the old Mopars! Thanks for the information on the dash stuff. I will definitely check it out. We have a lot of cool stuff coming up soon. Hope you can check it out too. I really appreciate the support and feedback!
Thanks for sharing your content.
Thanks for watching!
😮 that's bad ass
Thank you! Big changes coming soon
I bet that it would roast em😊
Yes
😮 sounds nasty and I was wondering if that dully will roast the tires
I'm really digging the LS set up and I think that it would look sexy as a roll back and safety first, and your insurance will be much better for you with the safer rollback
Thank you!
Hey, did you have to relocate the hood latch when you moved the radiator forward ?
I didn’t relocate the hood latch, I just trimmed the hood
On the C-50, What frame is it? I heard it was a 1 ton front end but didn't catch what the frame was from. Thanks!
It’s a 79 1 ton Chevy frame and suspension
@@gentrysgarage7956 Awesome! Keep up the good work, and thank you!
You’re welcome and thank you for watching
Do you know if the '81 - '87 1 ton frame geometry is the same as your '79?
What hydroboost setup did you use?
It’s the stock Hydro boost off of a 79C 30. I just picked up one from an 09 1 ton van that is exactly the same except for the mounting plate.
Hello, nice upgrade, what transmission crossmember did you use? Thank you
Waltonfab.com Thank for watching!
@@gentrysgarage7956 Hello Sir, Good Afternoon. The Walton website sates there’s bolt in crossmember doesn’t fit for the L460E transmission? But I seen yours is a bolt in with an L460E, question is did you have to fabricate the mounts transmission? Thank you for your videos
I believe mine came with two different types of crossmembers, which are just a little flat bolt in pieces. One of them was a straight and the other one was offset to either of the front or rear, depending on which direction you put it in. The one I used is the straight one. If you do need to make one, they are pretty simple. The main part of the crossmember is the most important part.
What type/make shifter is that?
It’s a Lokar floor mount
did you have to wash all your neighbors cars ,, after blasting .......
lol! No but I rarely do that in my driveway. It does make a pretty decent mess, but definitely worth it.
I love your shop! Looks like this is going to be nice when done.
Come on! Videos of people installing these very same parts have been done to death! BORING!!! Do you really think people want to watch a speeded up video of you working on your car?! Heck NO! All you pathetic you-tubers want a pat on the back in the comments and get money for your crappy boring videos! It is sickening!
Gorgeous car
Nicely done , it’s an awesome build. I roll around on my chair all the time no worries there. 💯🆒👍
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice going. It was nice to see ya
Great job adding parts for strength! Should work well !
So beautiful, except th colour…
We love the color! Thanks for watching
Which radiator did you go with?
It’s a radiator from Wizard cooling but I did have to notch and move the radiator. I also trimmed the hood.
Great video, Kool old Hot Rod, nice to have a camera man too. 💯🆒
hey gentry, i know you said the plymouth is a 51,but what model is it, love that car the chop is awesome
It’s a 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook two door sedan
hey pal,can you tell me how much did you chop the 51,that thing is awesome
It was previously chopped some but from what I could figure around 6” in the front and 8” in the rear. Thanks! It a fun car!
I think you should paint it purple!
Lol
This car gets up and boogies, nice going
I enjoyed watching the process of replacing the rear brakes.
I have the same car with the same great floor work. Where did you get the door sills from? Thanks for the ved.
I believe I got them from classics to current, but I did have to do a little bit of reshaping on them. There are a couple on eBay right now for about 150 bucks for a set.
Thanks, did you buy the body mounts or make, thanks @@gentrysgarage7956
How did you get the wheels out that far? what chassis did you use?
79 c30 dually with 3/4 ton wheels on front
Cool ride man,
What frame do you have under it ? 1979 Chevy frame dually frame ?
1979 Chevy c30 4 door long bed dually
Your car is amazing considering it is 70 years old. Love it!
Any idea how many hours you had in this project?
I don’t remember
Fantastic Job on the floor the car is so 😎
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
So if this is for a customer, how much would you typically charge to have this done? Assuming they bought the kit?
We’re not currently taking on any new projects at this time. On projects like this, I usually just charge by the shop hour because of all the custom work. Every car seems to take a little bit different amount of time depending on the car.
What drive shaft are you using?
I had one made at a local driveshaft shop here in town
This is Matt E btw
Awesome!
Sick!!!
I enjoy watching your videos! The knowledge and planning is unreal to me. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome! Thank you!
Looks great Gentry. The metal work is the fun part for me. Back when I did my GTS, there were no reproduction parts available. I had to search out parts cars and cut the pieces I needed off of them. I used an AMD trunk pan in a Cuda I am working on and it was almost perfect. Where did you source your pans and radiator support? Are they AMD? the fit looks pretty good.
I’ve built plenty of floorpans from scratch, and I know the feeling. Yes these are from AMD and they do fit really well. Thanks Dave!
Nice job
Thank you! Thanks for watching
I had a 67 satellite when I wasa kid
Mr. Gentry. Does that whole set up do away with the emergency brake? Also, how much does it change the tracking width of the car? How much offset?
Thanks for watching! It does keep the emergency brake cable. if I remember correctly, the front track width is maybe an inch or so wider than stock, but it works well with the wheels entire combo on the car
@@gentrysgarage7956 , it keeps the emergency brake cable, but it is not hooked up to anything?
