I call bullshit! That only works for minorities, illegals, and women! You a white man NO ONE IS GONNA DUE SHIT! BEEN THERE DONE THAT!
The fact that having someone work 8 days or more nonstop between two weeks is bullshit regardless. This is how people get burned out and end up quitting. Sometimes the pay isn't worth the lost time. People have lives outside of their jobs. I'm not encouraging people to be lazy or anything like that but man half these employees today just don't let their employees live like normal people. You should be working to live not living to work. There def should be a law dictating that an employee should not be forced by their employer to work more than at the most 6 days apart between days off. .
What is the labor code?
Terminated while on LOA
Getting fired directly (even without getting severance pay) is better than seeing yourself become the victim of quiet firing (which can make your whole life depressing).
same in Texas
the captions "from Paul White Trash" xD xD
Damn that's crazy, here in KS the state law is anything over 46 hours per week is overtime (if it applies to your workplace ive almost never seen the state law apply)
Like that's gonna stop someone from keeping the last check...
That guy wears a hat too much. it makes it look like this is his first suit. Or that he spends more time golfing than working. Hire a makeup artist when making videos for professional use.
Get out of here dude what you talking about
I was taking about how the second guy has a tan line in the middle of his forehead. Too distracting. It makes me think "this guy usually wears a hat... most people who war suits don't wear hats, but lawyers wear suits and this guy is a lawyer... and he's wearing a suit. Ooh, he must be one of them "golf lawyers" who spends more time on the "links" - if that's a term gold people use - than he spends lawyering. Then I was saying that this situation could be remedied by a makeup artist, as they could disguise the forehead tan line. Or, he should have just been himself and worn the hat in the video. Maybe it's a 🤠! That would have been a much better video.
We used to help people with mental health issues. Now we just accommodate the issues? Let the people suffer? Great idea. The WHO is a joke.
Got the Bratford factor that gives an extra bonus of €2000 for not being absent once for the entire year, usage of sick days impacts it still... which is stupid. That'd just encourage people to come in spreading their sickness. 🤦♂️
America SUCKS!!! You have to earn the right to be sick!!! All of Europe laughs.
Actually in many states the law is if you're fired they have to give it to you within three working days otherwise it all comes on the next/last regular paycheck.
If it’s only a few mins y’all shouldn’t mind paying for it
This is why I gotta get out the freezer
Do i uave to work overtime?
Music is Hypnotize by Biggie if anyone is wondering
I hold it count as retaliation?
With the advent of At Will and Right To Work, two-weeks notice seems more a courtesy than a hard and fast rule. Are we talking about "made redundant" or 'fired for cause'?
Ok, but NASCAR is boring...
Expressing what? Expressing MILK?
Given that these immoral laws are on the books, many victims find discrete ways to discriminate against their employees.
We’re do I call ????
What about if its a significant reduce such as going from 20/hr to 10/hr
Thank you for confirming that. No one should give more than a one week notice to any company since they are under no obligation to pay you. Frankly, effective immediately the same way they fire, you should be the standard. Why should they be entitled to a heads up when they're never going to give you one
Why is this a legal question? If you dont work somewhere they dont need to pay you.
“Let me give this soulless company 2 weeks notice before I quit although they won’t even give me a days notice before they fire me.”
Does that make them eligible for UI if they’re now being discharged rather than resigning?
It may
I was fired because my hands were hurting
My boss asked a coworker if he paid him 100 dollars if he would beat me up. Although I don’t actually believe he really meant it, it made me feel uncomfortable. And I’m currently protected under the FMLA act because of all of the stress they cause me. I would like to know more on this because of how much they do to make me uncomfortable. And how much work I’ve been missing because of it.
is it legal for employers to not pay overtime if the “work day” resets at midnight? for example: i work an alternative week pattern where my usual shift is 10 hrs. now if i work from 1600- 0200 then stayed until 0600, do i get overtime if my employer sets a workday from 00:00- 23:59?
I imagine this doesn’t occur often, as businesses would then be obligated to pay out unemployment.
This is why I always say "No" when asked for my cell# by any employer. When pressed I tell them "It's my personal line for friends and family. If you want to be able to reach me at any time or place outside my scheduled work hours then you'll need to provide me with a work cellphone."
I worked at macys for many years. They can go straight to hell. They closing all they stores 😂😂😂
Thank god to the lawyers giving out free legal
Would that be true for at-will employment?
Yes
I used to work at a restaurant and they were paying me $5 an hour for overtime in cash, off the books. He told me that since it's cash it saves me on my taxes and the overtime after tax comes out to less than $5 an hour. Seemed really wrong to me and when they saw me printing up my time slips they cut my hours from 80 hours a week to 3.
Great video
We work 12 hours a day and I get a little time at home but then when I go to sleep I dream I'm at work and I'm working hard should I get paid for that
“Could lead” is really convincing stuff
Could lead to compensation, but certainly compensate the lawyer
Respect for educating the public ❤❤

I have a friend who was recently let go from his job (unrelated) but he used to take the deposit from his store to the bank every night off the clock and he also had a second job at the time, he asked if he could leave the deposit at the store for the manager but he refused and when he asked about being on the clock while doing the bank run he was told no. He was an hourly worker there and would spend between 15-30 minutes driving to and waiting at the bank. Was he supposed to be on the clock while doing that?
Yes, but on the flipside, the employer can demand that it's taken out in time off, rather than being paid. (most places, don't know if applies in California)
In California that should likely be paid.
Obvious corruption is obvious.
"It's not age discrimination if you're too young for us to take seriously" wtf is this
Having age discrimination be only a benefit for old people, has to be the most US government coded idea ever. We need to start kicking these self-centered geriatrics out of positions of power, and let people with an education of the current century make policy 🤦
Right to work States = We can fire you for any reason. Except the obvious reasons like Religion, Race or Gender.
How can they reduce your wages if they agreed to give you a specific hourly wage wtf that seems like you should take them to court
Actors !!
