Yes it is… for some reason the original was only in 720 so it was bad quality. I had to redo do it in 4K and upload it again.

@@DosBlade maybe it’s something to do with algorithms. I think when you watch something similar UA-cam will feed you more. 6 years is amazing…. I’ve been on the road for 7 months now. I’m several months behind on my edits just due to time. I’m slowing catching up. Hopefully you’ll stick around and see where my journey takes me.

@@tribalbc it wasn’t an established camp ground. So we decided it was best to find somewhere else, and I think you’ll agree the place we camped was much better.

This was the beginning of the next 6 weeks together. Sven and Ellen are an awesome pair, we all had so my fun together. We spoke the other day as we had originally planned to do Xmas together. They may catch us up in Central America… what this space 😉

@@bebeonhisbike I whole heartedly disagree. The KTM is an awesome bike, just in this situation the calcium chloride that’s used on the Dempster Highway to bind the gravel together sets hard. This affects many bikes on the Dempster and Dalton Highway.

Mine sounded like that for the last few thousand miles until I got to LA where I was kindly donated an almost new one. I speak very fondly of the time we spent together, the highs and lows (wet Alaska) and all the laughter we had. You are an amazing person and I'm grateful I was able to be part of your journey and you mine. I'm sure one day our paths will cross again. Until then ride safe xx

​@@demon_ridesYes! One day, somewhere else in the world, we'll meet again somehow. Chances are high that I'm still gonna be riding an "inappropriate" bike 😁🤘🏻😉.

Unfortunately I didn't know about the jet wash at Eagle Plains otherwise we'd have used it. The 690 did well with the mud but at you can see the 790 suffered badly. This is a common problem that plagues them off road in bad conditions. As you say the Dempster requires 100% attention as it'll bite you when you take your eyes off it. It deserves the respect you must give it.

Thank you for comments they are greatly appreciated. I agree that many let the Dempster Demon (😂) get the better of them. I can only comment on my experience with the conditions I had. Everyday and every kilometre can be different. I was thankful for the mixed conditions that I had that made it easy despite a few tricky sections. Of course I’ve only shown a tiny bit of the 1800 km’s. I hope you enjoy the rest of my journey.

@@demon_rides Do you at least have something like the "Atlas Throttle Lock" which I hear Jim from Adventure Rider Radio always advertising? Nick (Project Biker), one of my former guests on the podcast, has one and I saw it on his CRF this past summer. I can't imagine riding those straight long roads without some "wrist relief" (snigger). Of course my bike doesn't just have cruise control, but radar controlled cruise control... [I'll pull my head in now.]

@ I do have the Atlas Throttle Lock but it’s failed due to the crude sticky pads that lock it. Apparently there’s a newer version that address’s this issue. Whether that is any better I can’t comment. Covering 40,000 miles a year as a professional motorcyclist I would test products to the extreme. Replacing stuff was easy. Now I don’t have a way to replace worn out gear that has failed. It’s frustrating but it is life in the road.

@@demon_ridesHaven’t had it long, but so far I love it! I upgraded from a KLX 300. It’s got so much power without being much heavier than my KLX. Handles highways as well as it does trails, especially with both sets of off road and super moto wheels ready to go. I just swap them out according to my plan for the ride!

@@ReelRidersPodcast thanks… 100%…. I’m learning all the time how to use the software and what I need to do to make a better edit. It’s funny because I sat here right now discussing what I don’t like about what I’ve filmed and edited. Also what I would like and what I want to achieve. I have some ideas that I will start doing when I leave Baja in two weeks time. Until then I have to make use of what content I’ve got and do my best with it. I’m quite excited to see if I can think more like a film maker/editor and give my films a better more dynamic interesting look.. I know it’s just ideas and talk but hopefully I can pull it off …

@@demon_rides Through the process of editing, you become a better camera operator/director. You learn what shots you need. In general, it usually means having to take a lot more, different types of shots to comply with the visual language of cinema that we've all grown up with and accept as "natural". But it's actually not natural... it's just a convention we've grown up with.

I have found when I'm caught up in the moment of moving finding food water a place to sleep etc the last thing on my mind is capturing what's going on let alone thinking about the shots I would need to capture to even tell a story. I suppose as I've not set out primarily to make a film it's not the aim of the journey but more a bi product of what I'm doing. I'm also learning that most people aren't that interested in the mundane things that is my everyday life on the road. I must admit parts of the edit I'm quite enjoying then there times when the content isn't great that I do struggle. I'm sure as I learn to capture the right stuff then it'll become a more enjoyable process. I have to remind myself I was a professional motorcyclist for all my life and this is a new skill set I'm learning through trial and a error.

@@demon_rides So many of my guests talk about the lengthy process of "trial and error". It takes a lot of practice and a lot of time for that trial and error. Yeah, you have to make sure the film-making doesn't get in the way of the trip, which is why you are there. Don't be afraid to leave the boring parts out. Be clear about: am I making something that is engaging to watch, versus something that is fully documenting my trip?
