Hello, Lesley and Paul! I got a couple books by Percival Everett too. So Much Blue and James. I'll get to both soon. It stood out to me that he called the book James, not Jim. Jim is only called Jim in Huckleberry Finn, but the name James is more formal. Interesting choice 🤔. Personally, I got all five books from the Before the Coffee Gets Cold series. At first the mention of cold coffee made me think it was horror 😢. Nope! It's a beautiful story of people. It launched my new found love of Japanese and South Korean story-telling. New subscriber! I enjoyed the video. I am currently reading The Warmth of Other Suns. The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration by Isabel Wilkerson. I’m almost done with this book. My next read will be Medgar and Myrlie. The Love Story That Awakened America by Joy-Ann Reid. My favorite genre is historical fiction written by African American authors but I’m enjoying historical non fiction books lately.

Waiting on the 3rd book in the Kennedy Ryan series. One of my book clubs read The Silent Patient this year. Another one of my book clubs will be reading The Housemaid Series next year. I’m not reading anything right now because I let myself get into a reading slump.
