Whare the difference between the lc 350 engine and ypvs engine other than the power valves
barrels, pistons, head, improved everything crank etc
Passages through top half of crankcase into cylinders also bigger, cylinders spaced slightly wider
That's an RZ engine...not an RD

Scott, time line depends a lot of the general state of the bike . If the engine is clean and has no abnormal noises, you will save a lot of time a money.same for the paint work, black epoxy paint is good looking and resistant , use it on all the parts you can for better price and appearance .Miguel the mechanic used DuPont paint for all body parts and tank , high quality paint , good results .It's not the first bike that the mechanic restored so time line may be variable . From two to 6 months depending your knowledge ,parts availability ,and dedicated time .That bike is a lot of fun and is very good looking if you do it well. Good luck !
Thx for sharing. Just bought a 1980 and 1981 Canadian 4LO's today. Looking forward to doing the same thing you did with my son. Note that you used Dupont paint and probably follow you on that issue. Curious about the time line to complete the whole project- nice work. B watching 'RD & Cia" next.
