Long distance relationships be like... Crazy that sometimes we can be so close to someone we like/love and yet can't talk to them. We have to put the effort in and trust that they'll meet us halfway. It's risky, and makes us incredibly vulnerable... but it can sometimes be worth it.

The intro to Closer always put me off, and I skipped it the first few times I listened to this album. But the slow build-up that comes in afterwards is so delightful and the percussion explosion roughly 3 minutes in hits so hard. Always goes to show that listening to a song all the way through can be worth it!

This track has zero drops and an almost non-existent bass, but its abrasive tones and somewhat erratic synth pattern still manage a weird hypnotic balance. Not exactly my favourite track on the album or anything, but the effort that went into this track is still very clear and well-crafted.

Coming back to this after YEARS, and the first few violin swells damn near brought me to tears. This is magical
