How Much Force Does Sonic Exert on the Ground While Running?
I tried to make this video so that if you don't know a thing about physics, you'd still be able to understand most of the video. If this is the case for you, then my job here is done.
This is probably one of the single biggest projects I've worked on probably in my whole life, taking me the better part of 2 months to complete, so I hope you like it. I probably won't make any more of these physics-related explanation videos for the time being because of this though.

If you didn't catch it, the final time was about 2h 37m, which is just barely below the former world record time. Don't bother checking, this is a very reasonable time for the world record and will not be beaten any time soon. This was recorded on 12/24/23. Yep, it took me almost 2 whole months to edit this. This was just a fun project that I didn't want to grind to complete. (excuses, excuses)...

If it wasn't already painfully obvious, this was heavily inspired by @SnapCube's Sonic dubs, so make sure to watch their Sonic dubs after this one, so that your expectations aren't extremely high before watching this one. This was recorded in one go, and without a script or any idea what we were doing. This was one of the most experiences of all time. Anyways, we had a lot of fun recording this...

you could just use the reaction speed of a human as the time period that he reaches terminal velocity
I could have done that, but the article mentioned in the video specifically said that Sonic accelerates instantly, so I just worked with that. (it also would have resulted in a much lower force soooooo...)
when working out the drag coefficient its for objects that dont change shape when accelerating so you would have to work out his average drag coefficient with the average space his body takes up when running at top speed
