I hope it can help someone out as it had me puzzled for a while. Thanks for watching. It was not all original tables. It seems to be tables using the SoundFXDOF function in the script. I love stumbling across vids where people are still using my colorization for this game. I regret selling my SF2 pin but now I can't afford to buy one back.
I appreciate you making this video… but seriously, 4 minutes in, and you’ve not said anything about what this program does. You started to, but got side tracked on how to change a custom icon. You’ve not said who it’s for. 4 minutes, and we essentially know *nothing*, We’re told it’s amazing. We’re told about firewalls and safety… but nothign about even the basic idea about what the thing is, and why anyone would need/want it. I will stick it out… and see if it applies to me *at all*… I may waste 10 minutes of my life before I even understand if it applies to me and my cab in the slightest… For videos, my suggestion: get the basics right above all else. Best of luck
@RyderSpearmann Wow dude! Keep your negativity to yourself. The guy took time out of his day to make this video in order to help fellow hobbyists and you shit all over his video!?? All you have to do is read the title of the video and you can see what the program is all about. You should be ashamed of yourself. Don't like the content, close it and move on. Research it yourself if you can do better.
@@cleetusvandame I played a drinking game called - "its amazing". 😛 Oh yeah, like the other guy. I stopped watching and moved on.
I have found better videos out there explaining the application. There are Videos linked from the GitHub repo
Hi Rastan, i discover this version with nfozzy physics thx to this video. I prefer this version. I play 64 bits cause it does not work with my 32 but with the standard dmd (not colorized) i have no pb so far.
That’s great, I am glad it helped you find the table. Thanks for the comment! I guess it works without color on 64, but it kept glitching out for me.
I completed all of the wizard goals for this table in pinball arcade!
I remember playing this table a ton way back in the day when it first came out. As I played for this video, bits and pieces were coming back to me on how and what to do :). Thanks for the comment and watching.
@@RastanPinball you're welcome
❤ 🇦🇺 👍👍👍👍👍
I'm glad it's just not me that's having trouble with that left ramp. It should be much easier to hit than it is.
@@dannyjones296 LOL, yeah, I haven’t played the real table in a long time, but I feel like it was pretty hard. Thanks for the comment and watching.
Is there a way to increase the volume on the Street Fighter table? Similar to other tables, press End and then use 8 or 9 to control the volume? Button 7 opens the menu but there is no volume to be seen...hmm?
This post is a bit old, but you can try this: www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=25157. I know I’ve done it in the past, but I don’t remember. I have 2 amps in my cab, one for backglass and one for ssf, so it’s easier for me to just adjust the volume from there.
Indeed a great game, well done! A great reminder to play this table more. It still is one of those tables that remain good fun no matter how long it has been :) Thanks for the video ! PS: perhaps a silly question, did you swap the ball image? It looks very real , the perfect shiny ball. Call it OCD but I find the way the ball looks imnportant :)
Agreed, and it’s hard to believe it’s almost 4 years old and still looks and plays this good. I don’t seem to get bored of playing it. Finally had a decent game, at least for me. Thanks for watching.
ToM is for sure one of my all time favorite tables! Great game you had there...one tip, when starting a multiball, try to hit the trunk as quick as you can, not catch the balls, and you will get a 100mils jackpot! 😀 Also....i tried to scream to you about the tiger saw multiball, but you did find it finally! 😅
LOL, I wondered how I got the 100 mil the one time near the end. It’s funny, watch all my videos back before posting them and I think to myself how did I miss that. I also learn a lot by watching, it’s hard trying to commentate and play, but it’s fun :). Thanks for the comment and watching as always.
Also, I wonder how do you get that amazing clean video of the playfield using an overhead camera?
Thanks, I am using a Sony HDRCX405. It’s an older camera, but the key is the 30x optical zoom. I can zoom right in to the perfect spot without losing any of the 1080p image. Thanks for the comment and watching as always.
What a beautiful version of this table! Also, great playing!
Thanks, yup it is great look and to think this creation is 4 years old at this point. It was mind blowing then :).
TOM is one of tables i remember the most cause i had litteraly broke the score. Like 2 wizard modes, jackpot after jackpot i've played at least 1.30 hour my friends were exhausted to seen me playing ! What a great memory great table ! Like your stuff and your gameplay man, keep it up ! Peace
Wow nice, you must be a good player :). It’s a classic for sure. We all have memories of that one table that we used to play. The one for me was Whitewater, still my fav 90s table, would love to own one but I can’t justify the money for a cab that old. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Cool table, I haven't seen this one before. Oh and some nice slap saves in the middle there!
Thanks, I know there has been a lot of versions of this one. Definitely an interesting table. How is your vpin coming along?
@RastanPinball almost done! Just received the glass today. Super exciting. Do you have an Instagram account? I'll ping over some pics. I'll eventually post a video but it might be a while
@@RastanPinball it's coming along great thanks. Just received the glass today! Are you on Instagram or something. I'll share some pics. I'll post a video eventually but it's probably a ways off
One of the finest tables ever made and the VPX version is utterly gorgeous. But like you I find this one quite brutal! Thanks for the video 👍 What make is your table, or did you build it yourself?
Sweating just watching! Awesome game.
Thanks, I thought maybe for a minute there I would be able to get to the end, and then drain :). Thanks for the comment and watching.
I’ve had consistent games in the 3-5 billion range and my strategy is avoiding the trunk except for multiball The orbits and ramps can score big when you progress plus multiple extra balls can be achieved by pounding the ramps and orbits
Oh you show off hahaha. That’s great, I didn’t think 1.3 bil was all that good. I’ve seen some people blow up the real machine and I think they did the same. It’s such a great table and one that’s always fun to come back to. Thanks for the comment and watching as always.
Oh no!!!! Ouch ouch ouch lol. One of the best animations on that table.. It's still one of my top 5 tables.. So many memories playing the real thing at the jersey shore boardwalk arcade. Once my vpin is back up and running, I'll be revisiting this table again. Thanks for sharing Nick.. Great game dude!
Yeah, I always have a good time playing it. I had a better time than usual this time because I actually got a decent score for once. Hopefully you get your vpin going soon!
Finally had a good game on this one. Thanks for the comments and watching!
Maybe it's just me, but my big problem with this version and its subsequent mods is that I can't see the drop target bank on the left. Only in siggi's version with the alt playfield can I actually tell when they're up or down.
I didn’t notice this, but I do agree with you, there isn’t a perfect version of this table yet…. I am still glad to be able to play it at all though :)
@@RastanPinball Yep, for sure.
There is some really cool originals out there, just like this one...awesome! 😀 The ramps are a bit TOO transparent for me, even though it looks cool, and like the ball is flying over the table. 🙂 Thanx for the video!
@@zanyt13 Haha, when the brightness is up, you can see 2 of the ramps. I don’t think that was coming across in the video. But the one was definitely not there. It plays fast and it seemed rather hard. I was playing on hard difficulty and I am not sure what that changes… my guess would just be the amount of shots needed, but who knows. It’s another nice original by Russty and team. I want to try Pirates Life next. As always, thanks for watching and the comment.
@@RastanPinball Cool, i look forwar to se you play the pirate table! 😃👍
Dang! This table looks rad! It is a fast one, I like it. I was hesitating to play this one because the theme was "meeeh" for me but you made me want to give it a try! Thanks!
@@Dadedrums Yes, it’s like Roadshow… on the edge of when you see it, you may not even bother. It’s definitely different though and plays really fast and it seems like something you can have fun with. Like all of these tables, I want to put more time in, but I usually just move on to film another video :). As always, thanks for watching and the comment.
Great table and great video. Thanks 😊 It would be great if you could do a video about your actual machine and hardware (screens, toys, etc). It sounds like you have a great solenoid setup in there. Keep up the great work pal.
Ditto. Would love to see your actual vpin cabinet
@@ericbelanger6900 I may do a video at some point. I am waiting for a friend to build me a custom backbox. It’s just an ALP gutted with 165hz monitor for PF, 27 inch mon for back glass, stock 15.6 for FullDMD (for now). Also running Packard contactors off a Pinscape with mosfet boards, Teensy for addressable PF, matrix, speaker and undercab lighting. And your basic SSF setup. The best thing about it is the 165hz LG display. Running at 165fps makes the experience so much better and I can go from my real pins to vpin without noticing much lag at all. Once I get the custom backbox, I will probably do a video, but it looks ugly now :). Not sure how long you have been watching, but I had a full size years ago, but sold it due to the limitation of only being able to put a 40 inch TV in it and couldn’t find anything above 60hz. May build another full size at some point, but I really enjoy my current setup. Thanks for the comment and watching!
@@digga-x1u Hello, I replied above to Eric’s comment. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
Is this different than the Hanibals 4K mod that was updated back in February? Also is it easy to load this as a non-VR table? Can I adjust it like a desktop table? Thanks for the help!
This is Hannibal’s 4k mod with basically nfozzy physics and fleep sounds added. Yes, you can easily load this up in non VR without any issue. Would be the same process as loading any other table. If you have any issues then let me know and I can try and help. Thanks for watching.
The lightning looks incredible, did you alter any settings? I don't think mine looks as good..
@@theblinky_ Not sure if you know this, but you can hit F12 during game to get up the POV/Options menus. From there switch to options and change the day and night percentage. I am guessing maybe that is why mine looks better…. If I remember correctly I may it dimmer to make the lights pop more. I hope that helps.
The only two things that annoy me of this version is that when you plunge the ball it always happens to fall on the right lane, no matter what. And also that the sound of the ball rolling on right ramp shots it's too long eventhough you don't make the full ramp, did you notice that as well? Beside that, I love this version and also love your playing and cab!! Thanks for the video!
Yes, I noticed both of these as well. The plunge is definitely not just for this specific version. From what I remember all based of the original version of this do the same thing. The ramp sound could be adjusted in the script without too much work. Maybe I’ll look at it when I get time, which is never LOL. Thanks for watching and the comment.
@@RastanPinball I am lately enjoying playing the EB version. It has a great playfield (scanned) and the overall is great, only thing missing are the nfozzy physics but the gameplay it's as fast as the real table, and the skillshot is more random where the ball is gonna fall in... have you tried that version? I would love to know what do you think about that one 🙃
@@Dadedrums I think I did try it when it first came out. I have a hard time playing anything that isn’t nfozzy/fleep these days, but maybe I’ll give it another shot. If I do I will let you know :)
Btw, what visual pinball version are you playing this on? I am playing it on gl64 and it plays great no issues with dmd but you can see some black lines on the playfield that there should not be there...
@@Dadedrums I am on 10.8 RC4 32bit (for this table) and GL. I didn’t notice the lines, but may have just missed them.
Just found ur channel videos kickass especially on iscored and vpin studio
Thanks for the comment, it definitely helps to let me know what people are watching and like. I try to do gameplay mostly, but will sprinkle in a how to here and there :).
I played the real table a lot as a student when it came out. Good times. Having a beer or an Ice Tea with friends and trying to get to Ted getting sleepy, hit his mouth and play the multiball. Getting multiball was the goal for every pinball we played.....we didn't know better :). Great video again, thanks!
LOL, yup… when you just played pinball because you thought it was fun, all you knew was multiball. Come to find there are all these intricate details of these machines, modes, stacking, etc. I used to be exactly the same, and for the most part still am hahahaha. Thanks for watching as always.
@@RastanPinball The funny things is that when my boy plays pinball he has the same reflex as I had and he cheers when he gets multiball :). Tables with simple visible goals are a hit for him as well (and me): blast a castle, kill a shark (Stern Jaws is great!) , beat a black knight or bring down a building (Godzilla) :). My boy easily passes on games like John Wick ( no clear goals)...doesn't even look at it :)
Yeah, a lot of the time when you play pinball you don’t really want to think and the bash toys work perfect for that. Some of these games have so many rules and ways to stack, etc that it just gets overwhelming. I am glad your kid has fun. My daughter will play my Stranger things and just loves hitting the middle.
Great video as always, keep them coming. This theme never really appealed to me but I might give this a go now, and with vpw you can't go wrong..
It seems most people feel the same about this table and also VPW :). Thanks for watching and the comment.
Nick, thanks for sharing the video and for giving the table another try. I can say that I owned a real Roadshow and this vpw version plays exactly like the real machine! Epic 3rd ball for sure. Not easy to get the shots off. One of the most unforgiving tables but a heck of a lot of fun.. You couldn't get away today with half the stuff that game says, that's for sure. A different time.
Thanks for pushing me to give it another try :). That last ball was a blast. It’s definitely a breath of fresh air playing it since it is different in tone, layout and shots. I’d really like to play a real one now. I’ve seen them over the years but would always gravitate to the other machines. So many good tables to play and no time :)
@@RastanPinball if we find one next year at Allentown, you should definitely play it. Was one of my favorite pins and always made me smile with the call outs.
Never been a fan of that table. Like you I should give it a second chance. Thanks for all your videos! 😊
Thanks for the comment. It definitely changed my mind, I am not sure how long you watched but on my last ball I had some good jackpots, I was definitely having fun and the quirky nature is a breath of fresh air.
That ramp is tough. Maybe too tough. Q. Where did you get your beacon lights on your cabinet backbox. ? Thanks for the videos.
Very tough :). I am pretty sure you are talking about the beacons on my older videos? I no longer have that cab anymore, and unfortunately the beacons are no longer available on Amazon, but here is the link to them: a.co/d/gjGHWzM.
I watched the video on my TV, so good! Changng up the GI color is a cool feature. It saves you from downloading LED 'mods' :). I am loving the table. Thanks for the great gameplay video.
Thanks, I did try the PinSound you mentioned but for some reason with the way I route my audio to my headphones and then to OBS, it kept coming out of my SSF. It may work fine when just having all go through my speakers, still have to try that. I think I can see what you mean about it helping the atmosphere on this one. The GI change options are great, sometimes I forget to look at the options menu to see what is there… some good stuff implemented sometimes.
Great video. Looking forward to playing this one - I remember it being pretty punishing! The colour Dmd looks awesome, do you have to Install / configure a specific color Dmd program for this?
Thanks. I watch a lot of pinball tournament streams and I remember this one being pretty hard. I think I only played it once or twice IRL. Even though I wasn’t having much luck, I still enjoyed this one. You just need to install Freezy’s and then the altcolor files to get the Color DMD going. If you need help with it, then just let me know. Thanks for the comment and watching as always.
@@RastanPinball thank you, I'll give that a go. Just on the final touches of building my cab (took most of this year!), and moving on to vpx 10.8 and the new vpw tables this weekend 👍 can't wait. Keep the videos coming!
that’s awesome. It’s a great feeling when you build it yourself and finally get it going. Also good because if something goes wrong you know exactly how to fix it :). On the Color DMD I forgot to mention one thing.. when you load the table you need to hit F1 to bring up the VPinMame menu, from there make sure colorize is checked and hit OK, restart the table and you should be good.
@@RastanPinball thanks for the tip. 100% agree building is great so you can fix and upgrade things as you go. I might have to upload a video or two of my cabinet - it's 3/4 size, alt AFM, 4k playfield, really pleased with it
Nice, if you do, I’d love to watch.. let me know.
What a wonderful recreation of this table, well done VPW. It seems to play really close to the real one, looking at the physics. You have to fight this table to keep the bal alive, just like the real one, and one of the reasons is the 1/8" shorter(then regular Williams) lightning bolt flippers the gap between the flipper much wider. But you did play well, and thanks for another great video! 😃
It does feel great to play even though it’s so tough. I had completely forgotten about the lightning flippers on this one. It also seems like the shots themselves are very tight. The flippers could also explain why that damn left ramp is so hard to hit. Either way, I enjoyed making the video even though I was struggling. Thanks for tuning in and the comment, I appreciate it.
Hey Nick. Glad you enjoyed it. :)
LOL, I would rather it be hard than not. Looks and plays great as always. I like how you guys put in the custom GI adjustments, very nice. Thanks to you and the team for continuing to give us amazing tables to play.
hello. I can't get it to work SF2 table. I'm desperate. Can you help me how to install the vpx so that SF2 works?
Hello, have you downloaded the ROM required for the table and put it in the vpinmame/ROMS folder?
Hi, Thank you for your answer!it runs now i used the old vpx 32 bit 😂
@@jorgo4281excellent, glad I could help!
Looking forward to your vpw Dracula vid??
I wanted to film one last night, but was too tired. Planning on doing one today :)
I uploaded a fixed table file for anyone playing it in 10.8 to take care of the chopper in the top center of the playfield its not suppose to be there I appreciate you running a gameplay video on it
Thanks for making the table. I did feel like the chopper was covering up a lot. You said it’s not supposed to be there at all? I will have to check out the fix.
@@RastanPinball NP my dude I enjoyed making the season 4 version of it and no it’s not its only suppose to appear when you beat bad men multi ball it plays a quick animation then disappears after but I made it with 10.7 and didn’t have the time to test it with 10.8 until after the upload and noticed it in another UA-cams video so I made a quick fix for it for anyone running it in 10.8
@@outofmymindarcade3932 Nice, I will download it. I love ST, can’t wait for new season!
I love the look and style of this pin and the music is so cool and moody! And the quality of workmanship and overall fidelity achieved by the creator is fantastic 👌 But honestly, I'm a bit disappointed to see that there are no call outs or anything to indicate what you are actually doing during the game. There does not seem to be any character or narrative in regards to the sound or the play field itself. Are you a cop, a private eye, a criminal navigating the seedy underbelly of the city? It's like all you're shooting for is points, albeit within a fantastic atmosphere, but there still just seems like something is missing or indeed, like this is a missed opportunity for Gottlieb, to really give this one some extra direction, intrigue and pizazz. Regardless, I definitely still want to give it a go, especially seeing how well it shoots and the table layout is also quite unique. Thanks for the fine showcase of this gorgeous looking pin👍
bonjour vous jouer en 32 ou 64 ?
@@florianv5258 Hello, you need to use 32bit VPX for this table.
???? please
@florianv5258 32
Hi Nick I remember you modified your GRS cabinet pack. I have that GRS also. Did you modify a way to access everything from the top by changing the way the playfield monitor was mounted? If so, how did you that? Thanks
Sorry for the late reply and not sure what happened but I see I disliked this. Was not my intention at all and maybe when I read it when you first posted it, I may have hit that by accident, sorry about that. I’ll tell you what I did, but you are not going to like it LOL. I took the glass out of mine so I could lift the TV out of it whenever I wanted. I put Velcro on the back of the TV and the TV vesa mount and would just pull it out whenever I wanted to get inside. It’s the thing I hated most about that cab. And since I didn’t want to take the whole damn thing apart to get the glass out, I basically shattered it and pulled it out. I told you that you wouldn’t like it haha.
I tried this table in the flesh once (pun intended), and it was pretty unforgiving! I'll be checking this version out though, thanks for sharing. Love the theme too
Haha, yes it’s a Borg table and all his have really tight shots but all are usually pretty fun. I have a Stern TMNT Pro and shots are the same way. Ends up being a ton of bricks until you get the shots down. Give it another shot, definitely a fun table.
@@RastanPinball cheers, I'll give it a go
Wow. Thanks for featuring this. I remember this being released. But i did not know it had Nfozzy/fleep treatment. I figured it was just another lightly touched mod. Just for someone to add their name to. Alot of those seem to be about recently. Sorry for the long post. Going to download this now.
Yeah it’s hard to keep track of all the releases and this was a specific VR Room version which added Fleep and nfozzy. I thought I had went through everything on VPU, but only found this by using the VP spreadsheet and filtering by Fleep and nfozzy keywords. I probably found 20 more tables I missed this way.
This table is walkind dead alright walking away dead frustrated lol.. Thanks for sharing Nick.. Great to see a Saturday night gameplay video.
No problem, and yes it’s frustrating. As I mentioned in another comment, it’s a Borg table and all his tables has really tight shots…. Laying lots of bricks :)
Always love your videos and commentary. Keep them coming! I'd be really interested to learn about your cabinet, have you considered doing a video / guided tour of your cabinet build? In the latter stages of my own!
Thanks for the comment, it’s comments like these that help me because you don’t always get feedback and it is nice to hear :). As far as my cab, I may do a video at some point. If there is anything specific I can answer for you regarding your build then please let me know. Thanks again and for watching.
@@RastanPinball that's great to hear! I see you had a long break and I discovered your channel after you started up again. Always check your vids out. Really good combination of gameplay and commentary, really makes a difference. Keep up the great work! Thanks, I'm just curious on your general set up as I can hear the solenoids etc, I'm almost done on mine, set up ssf, and hoping to get my dof setup this weekend
@brucep383 @brucep383 thanks, I try to offer something different for the videos. Plenty of gameplay out there, but not of actual cab and with commentary. I did take a long break, 2 years give or take. Mostly due to work and family life but I did get burnt out as well. I am running contactors and ssf along with the MX addressables as you can see. SSF is great but once you get the DOF/soleoids/contactors going it is such a good combo. Good luck with it and if you have any questions then just let me know.
@@RastanPinball thank you! I have solenoids from Cleveland software design which look great, can't wait to test them out today (I'm in the UK), but also I have the Siemens contactors which I may swap out / test too, if only for the flippers. Looking forward to your next vid 👍
Whoa!!! 2 videos in 1 day and Hollywood Heat to boot!?? I have to say, the table is different and pretty cool. Nothing really like it from the 80s. I wonder if DON Johnson was given a Hollywood Heat pin for showing up on the backglass? Thanks for sharing Nick, always appreciate your videos.
LOL, Don Johnson needs some kick back. I know you are not a fan of the Gottliebs, but I think it’s decent.
I just got this one and had a quick question for you. When I launch my back glass is just black with the words and I get the videos to play when I have things happen. Trying to figure out did you have to change anything in the pup pack to make the static picture and boarder show?
No I didn’t for this one. All I did was extract the PUP pack to the PUPVideos folder. How many screen set up are you using and are you sure you are on the newest Popper version?
@@RastanPinball I am running a three screen cab. I installed the popper version from 4 weeks ago when I started this journey. I used vpin to load in the pup pack as I love using that software to load in the games. Ill look up to see what the latest popper version is to see if I need to up grade.
I am assuming you mean VPIN Studio to load the PUP. I haven’t really tried to do that… I think I did once, but since most PUPs require you to run a batch file with your specific screen setup, I usually load them manually. This one does not require that but I would delete the folder in the PUPVideos folder and load it manually just to be safe. That is what I did.. see if that makes any difference. If you upgraded Popper recently then that isn’t going to be the problem.
@@RastanPinball did you have to rename the pup and dmd? I noticed the game is creating a different thing and it does not match what the down load was? Thanks for all the help.
So I just looked and what file did you use for the table? There is a specific download for the vpx file but then there is a NEW vpx file which is like 600 plus MB in the all in one update. That is the one I used. Other than that, all I did was copy the PUP pack to the PUPVideos folder and I copied the UltraDMD folder to my Tables folder. I hope that helps.
The video seems to be going strong without any copyright muting. I overlooked this one thinking it was a reskin but this seems very cool and a rather complete package, I will certainly play it. Thanks for the great video!
@@bietekwiet2812 Thanks, it seems to be only impacted in Russia as far as the copyright so it can’t be seen there which is fine since I have no viewership there :). The table is decent and I like how it’s been changed to only season 4. The lack of nfozzy hurts a bit, but definitely still playable and fun.
I see you may have modified your original message. Not sure about him letting others modify his table. I would assume Out of My Mind Arcade or TC Deez (who did 2.0) got approval but who knows?
@@RastanPinball Yes, I modified the comment as I initially thought this table is totally different to Scotty Wic's but then I looked up videos of it and it is the same layout. I just remember it differently, weird :)
@@bietekwiet2812As far as I can tell, it is the same exact and just adjusted to only cover stuff which happened in season 4. I believe the previous version by TV Deez was about season 2.. I never tried that one.
Nick! Vertically center your wheels on Popper! Glad to see you back doing vids
I’ll take a look in the config for the setting and see how I like it. To be honest, I’ve never put much time in to making popper look good or tweaking it and it’s always something I’ve wanted to do. Always put my time in adding more tables I won’t play :)
Thanks for sharing Nick. This will definitely be helpful to lot of people including myself. Appreciate you.
Thanks, hopefully it will help others that have this weird issue.
