I’ve been looking for more of the history of vestments. I’m interested in the evolution of the shapes. Let me know if you have some recommendations.
Isn't the Alb like an ephod or other OT priestly garments?
The vestments used today can mirror the OT priestly vestments, but initially they weren't meant to mirror them.
Still looks like the garb that was worn by the Roman emperors which I guess it is but the funny thing is that for many centuries christians were violently persecuted by the Romans until they got smart, after Constantine converted and used Christianity to his advantage thus became the Roman Catholic Church.
