IMO the original Umineko portraits are actually better at communicating subtleties in the characters' expressions (I especially like the Beato faces). I also think the original sprites make it a little easier to grasp one of the story's "reveals" (the voice acting, while great, also makes it a little tougher to figure out - if you just look at the original sprites with no audible voices, it's a lot easier to understand IMO). That being said, I'd still recommend the PS3 sprites to most people, just because the original ones are admittedly a bit of an "acquired taste." The Steam sprites from the pachinko game, however, are fucking terrible and it genuinely pains my soul that people are playing the game with them.

Algorithm does it's thing sometimes. I love the sprite work for the vinyl record speaker head dude and the seemingly inspired by psychonauts red shirt and glasses guy, (the scientist with an accent if you've played the game). This is some good progress, keep it up. Do you have this online in a wip anywhere yet?

This is the most beautiful masterpiece. Starting at 1:10 those lyrics saying "Around the world, around the world" just felt really touching to me and this lyrical genius of a song is so heart warming and just feels like a cosy blanket on a winter day at 12:38. These lyrics just are so fascinating to me and it inspires me to travel around the world when it says "Around the world, around the world." There has never been a more beautiful time than 4:25:46. That time has such a spectacular sentence "around the world, around the world. Around the world, around the world."around the world, around the world. Around the world, around the world." just makes me so grateful the internet is a thing. One of the best times in my personal opinion was 9:17:19 because its just so calming and the story stars to settle there because floppa had spun 5000km in total. This video is so touching and just makes my eyes fill you calm, happy tears.
