Fallschirmjägerlied - Rot scheint die Sonne
"Rot scheint die Sonne" is a German military song that gained popularity during World War II. It was sung by the Fallschirmjäger, the paratroopers of the German army, who were known for their daring and unconventional tactics.
The song has a fast-paced, rhythmic melody and lyrics that speak of the thrill and danger of parachute jumps. It describes the experience of ascending into the sky, counting down the seconds before the jump, and then opening the parachute to float gently to the ground. The lyrics also express the sense of loneliness and isolation that paratroopers must have felt, as they were often dropped behind enemy lines to carry out their missions.
The chorus of the song, "Flieger grüß mir die Sonne, grüß mir die Sterne und den Mond, ich hab' ein Rendezvous mit dem Tod" (Pilot, greet the sun for me, greet the stars and the moon, I have a rendezvous with death), reflects the fatalistic attitude of many German soldiers during the war. They knew that their missions were dangerous and that they might not survive, but they were willing to face death for their country.
Despite its association with the German military, "Rot scheint die Sonne" has also been performed by other groups, including the Finnish military and the Swedish band Ultima Thule. It remains a powerful and evocative song that captures the spirit of the Fallschirmjäger and their daring exploits during World War II.

The killing fields ?? Fields do not kill, but US carpet bombing by B52 bombers did!" They bombed fields and foreset where they expected Viet kong coming trough Cambodia into Vietnam. In an 2006 article, “Bombs over Cambodia,” using the same database and analysis, calculated a figure of 2.7 million tons dropped on Cambodia in 1965-75.15 Our estimate, published in the Canadian magazine The Walrus, and in 2007 in The Asia-Pacific Journal, was widely quoted.

This is a betraying propaganda cut out of over two hours total interview by this brainwashed ignorant hobby journalist. He did cut out only parts that could be misused as self-praising. In the interview he did tell what really happend - as far as he did know what happened. He is a very responible and nice peaceful man as anybody with open eyes can see here.

to people who try to defend him..he had ALL people who wore glasses killed, because they were "intellectuals" and so a threat to him and his communist plans.. he tried to have ALL people from the cities killed, so he could take it back to year zero.. he was EVIL on earth and to people who try to verbally mock and attack people who are pointing out the evil that was done you need to go and look at all the millions of skulls and bones that are STILL piled up in Cambodia.. Pol Pots regime even killed ALL people who wore glasses as they felt they were "intellectuals" so a "threat" to the communist plans.. your attempts to sound witty, (and to mock people who are pointing out how evil it was what was done) are crass in the extreme and i hope karma makes you see how bad an idea it is to be so keen to defend a monster and his evil regime with your jokes that attack people who point out the evil committed by those communist monsters

I heard somebody poisoned him or died of heart attack/stroke in 1997-1998. He won't be missed. I survived Khmer Rouge regime. But my uncle was murdered by Khmer Rouge in 1975-1976.

@Thuborea8390, It was h*ll on earth. People were taken away at night by Khmer Rouge soldiers to the jungle and killed them. They tied their hands, blinded fold and smashed their heads with bamboo sticks or stabbed with knifes. They dug graves and pushed their d*ad bodies into the graves. People also died of starvation and overworked. Pol Pot created Ongka(organization). If people got caught stealing foods, they will kill them. Everything is equal. You eat the same foods, no haircut, no make up, no religion, no money, and education. People must dress the same, their color of cloths are blacks/dark brown and red scarfs (in Cambodian we called it Kromar Krorhom).
