When I hear this song I think of both my boys and my daughter. My beautiful boys aren't given enough credit for the amazing men they are becoming and my beautiful daughter doesn't get enough credit for her strength and love. She is still young, but she's becoming a beautiful little lady too.

My momma was actually my grandma and she took on the roll of both my momma and daddy when they abandoned me. I miss her, she passed in 2020 at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. She was 91 years old.

Im a single mom of five kids and this song hit me hard because i try to give them everythingthey want or need

My dad took us kids away when he left my mom. I was 5/6 and 2 older siblings all a year apart. When my dad asked us who we'd like to stay with before going into court, we all said him. We were little, we just wanted to please the parent we were facing. Growing up he and my stepmom fed us the most horrible things about her and that she'd abandoned us but I remember this figure of our mom crying beside our luggage before we left. My stepmom would call her a b and you name it but all we saw was a jealous woman. We were put through hell. Cruella was nothing compared to our stepmom. She was the most abusive woman I've ever encountered. We saw our mom twice over the years till I was 16. By then I had so much anger issues, I didn't believe what I was fed but it affected us all. One year later my mom passed from a brain aneurysm from a fall at work. I did not get time to say I love you or that I believe in her. She was so humble, quiet spoken, a soft spoken woman who gave nearly everything away to people who needed it more while she had only two dresses hanging in her cupboard. How I wish I had more of her time ❤️‍🩹

Hi Brian, I'm a single mom. I just came out of a 20 year abusive relationship and lost my oldest son to a drowning accident this past June. I have 4 other children. I have a 18 year old son and I've always wondered how he can be so strong and now the man of the house. I never thought that it had anything to do with me, but at the age of 8, his dad started becoming abusive towards me. He stood between me and his dad and told him you're not going to hit my mom. He should have never had to have that put up on him. He and I have been close since that day. He holds me when I've cried and he gives me a kiss on the forehead and tells me mom everything will be ok. I don't know where I'd be without my boy. He's my hero.
