My channel focuses around traveling Arizona and enjoying the outdoors. This will include kayaking/fishing as well as hunting and camping. hunting will be limited due to Arizona having a draw system for hunt permits.

Was it hard installing the switches? Im debating if i should do it.
Could I know the model of the fish finder you got I have the same kayak but the impulse 120 model and wanna get a finder for mine
I believe it’s the Garmin echomap uhd 73sv
@@rhensley05 thanks bro you got any videos of this kayak on the water that i can see?
@@itzlimit9321 not with the pedal drive. I actually have a bixpy on it
@@rhensley05 well just with the fish finder actually I have the same kayak as well
I’m going out in the next couple weeks I will try to out a video together.
Love to know how you installed the lights and switches. Looks awesome !
were you able to stop the shifting of the seat? I'm having the same issue.
Didn’t really mess with it. I just kinda ignored it until I didn’t notice it anymore. It doesn’t shift much.
What mount did you use for the fish finder?
Could always use a magnetic fish tape for pulling through hard to each areas.
Nice setup.. Thanks for the ideas
Thanks.
2 year update pro cons
Great video, how is your impulse doing right now
It’s doing good. I put a bixpy j2 on it a couple months ago. Before a fishing trip I did. Been wanting to do some videos but my sister past 8 months ago and my mom last month so been a rough year for the family
@@rhensley05 so sorry for your loss.
Will side view fish finder work?
Mine has side view but I’m not sure how accurate it is with the hull being an obstruction
Is that the yak power light system or did you do your own setup?
I threw together My own setup. I spent under $100 not counting the lithium battery.
@@rhensley05 I’m trying to do the same to mine. Did you use a relay by any chance or just straight to switches. Thank you in advance
@@Gray_Beard I just wired it like a typical light hot leg then switch leg to the light. I do have an inline fuse though. Super easy. I really should have done a tutorial. 🤦♂️
@@Gray_Beard I ran one wire from battery to the first switch and jumped the power to each switch. If I did it again I would use smaller wire I did over kill it a bit.
@@rhensley05 lol all good I know how to set it up I was just trying to see if you used a relay
Love my impulse 105. Luckily no drive issues. I fish large lakes and resevoirs, miles long. In 5ft 7 151 lbs. Just installed my bixpy j2, on my rudder. She moves, perfect setup for me. All the research and all they give you, is a amazing deal. The 120 would've been to big for hauling, as my 2nd toy is my jeep wrangler. But next year, I'll be investing in a small trailer. Good luck bro..
I have a bunch of trips planned in the new year.
Any difference from 105 and 120 other than me length?
@@Vue_Mix honestly I’m not sure.
Where did you get the lighting at? I just got my hoodoo impulse and would love to put lighting on it!
Amazon
You have the seat brackets on wrong they both should be facing inside
I followed the directions that came with the kayak… lol jk. Thanks for the advice
Could you do a video on how you have the transducer set up and wiring ran for that?
I can but I just ran it thru the scupper that is above the opening for the transducer.
Nice work man. Neat, simple. I like
Thank you sir. I’ve been wanting to do an on the lake video. But my sister recently past so I’m probably waiting until after the new year.
I moved from az to Houston and I'm going to look at these this weekend. Or possibly buy a slayer max 12.5 for same price
Sweet Upgrades! I just got an Impulse 120 from Redline a couple weeks back. Had any issues with the pedal drive?
It was popping out a lot then I did the recall and it was fine for two days up at knoll lake. I was gonna make a video but was busy with family up there.
I see you ran the wires from the reducer through the hull and came out right under your finder. How hard was that to run???
Not too bad. The hardest part was getting the nut on the through hull connector. I removed the rod holder to get at it.
so the front storage area can be a cooler .. or a livewell, it will fill up about 4in of water in there when your on the water.. so you can drop bass in there to keep them alive.. like for a tournament.
I suppose the live well would work but definitely not a a cooler here in Arizona. Ice would melt in 10 minutes.
hey az outdoors..its charleys outthere..i wasnt able to respond to your question about the southern end of chevelon canyon lake on my channel..the southern trail is a lot shorter but steeper..its not terrible..ive seen kayaks down there before. youll get a workout
Thanks. Just started a channel and want to do a some videos and see how it goes.
@@rhensley05 it's a lot of fun..I've met a few guys that have seen my videos out fishing...its cool..good luck
Sweeeeeet!
I'm going to try to take it out next weekend and do a better video on the water. maybe try and catch a few fish as well . should be a fun hobby
