Transmission Install 1964 Dodge Polara. New shop tool added
Переглядів 6562 роки тому
Go through what has changed on transmission. Shout out to Jass Auto in Edmonton for the quick turn around. Old transmission case had issues beyond the cracked rear case. Threads were pulled out and the 1968 case was a better choice to swap everything in to.

Nice car, thanks for sharing. 👍👍
@@edsmachine93 thank you for stopping in and welcome aboard
It was such an amazing turn out , with amazing weather too… what was your favorite entry ? So many cool rides ! It was great to see you, and thanks for the shout out !
@@380motorsportcustom there were so many cars that I liked and would own if I had the chance
@@ninjapumkin .. yeah hear ya, saw some cool rides …
Hope you had a great day at the show !
Was the grille swapped out because it did not come off of a 1972.
@@woxyroxme You are absolutely correct. Good catch. The grille was swapped out to a preferred 1970 grille. Thank you for watching
Drove a 72 Dart Swinger in the mid 70s. 318 automatic with cyclone headers and dual exhaust. Other than that, it was stock. Great cars!
@@chriswerkes8313 Must have been an amazing ride. Thank you for watching the video
I had one, slant 6 auto... Driver.
@@haroldharwell7078 thank you for watching. This Dart was an original slant 6 car and converted to V8 by my friend
Nice and CLEAN , looks awesome !!
@@380motorsportcustom yeah my friend did a great job on his ride
Glad to see you posting again. Love this car. I have a 64 Polara also.
Me too. Some changes made and will update along with other car shows and Mopars. Thank you for checking the channel out again
Looking good 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Looking good
Appreciate it. Thank you for watching
absolutelywonderful mermories i am 77 and still loving it
Quite a nice job you've done on the Dodge. Not many '64- '65 B -Body Dodges had full "factory" instrumentation (oil pressure etc.) as yours does. My '65 Coronet has only "Temp" & "Charge." I'll bet that tiny steering wheel & manual steering makes for quite the "upper body workout" lol.
Thank you. Yes the small steering is quite a handfull
Love that car.
You need to practice on the tree .it's making you loose off the line
Thank you for watching. Yeah, need some more practice for sure
Your 64 , is Customized , accordingly , to the 62-64 era !!!
Would have been nice to see you struggling even with the transmission jack and the connection to the flex plate. Makes me think you had help?????
Glory days!
Glad you are back posting. I just bought a 64 Polara yesterday. I've been enjoying your website while I was researching these cars. Thank you.
Yeah sorry not much changed on the car this year. That is so awesome you bought one too. Welcome to the club
Great show!!
Thank you for watching 😁 So many cars this year and will grow for next year
Fellow Albertan here, new sub @@ninjapumkin
Oh my MaMopar! What have you done.
Looks like an awesome show! Thanks for covering it.
Your very welcome. It was a great show and looking back I wish I covered more cars
@@ninjapumkin I will have to attend that one someday.
Thanks for showing ET like you did . Any human would be very proud of a machine like that. Now sounds like you got a two step in it .
Thank you very much for your comment. Appreciate you
Holy cow, 72 Dart Swinger was my first car, same color as the one here, and I own a 64 Polara 500 now. Good taste in cars sir.
Thank you 😊 I will be doing a walk through of my friends 72 Swinger this spring when it warms up
What a great looking (and running!) Mopar! My dad befriended a young mechanic at our local Sunoco station back in the late ‘60s. When he wasn’t wrenching on customer cars he worked on his ‘64 Dodge. On Sundays he drove it to the track. Black and black like yours. Basically stock appearing. 383 with torqueflite.
Wow that’s an amazing story. Thanks you for sharing that. I appreciate you
Your supposed to have the bugs out before you head to the track!! But what do I know??? I have a division 1 title. a 13 second car is like taking a worn out 396 Chevelle to the track. LOL Amature hour at its best. My 1969 Chevelle with 200k on it can out run your pretend play car. LOL
I appreciate you watching. Have many Chevy friends who support me as I support them. We are all car guys 😁
Wow! Great video! Historic Mopars.
Thank you. This year should be a great meet with more vehicles
Sounds bitchin!!!!
Damn that's beautiful. What engine. Sounds like a bb.
Yes it is 😁 Thank you
Where is this show held
Rad Torque Raceway near Edmonton Alberta. It should be a large show in 2023
NEED YOUR BLANKY WHEN YOU NAP AT THE LIGHTS LOL.
Very cool nostalgic build. Sounds like your converter is a bit too tight for your combo. Unless of course you street drive the car than I get that a compromise is needed.
Thanks for watching. It’s a TCS 3600 stall with an anti-ballooning plate. Yeah she’s a little tight and I absolutely do some street driving 😁
Does it do anything but make noise
It rolls forward and backwards 🤷♂️ That’s a plus
Mine also leaks oil, attracts mice
grew up in Edmonton, riding in dads 63 Dodge 440. cheers from Calgary.
Back in the day, Michigan State Police had them bad ass MOPARS
Car pretty sweet looking I used to have a Dodge Coronet 440 there's a 64 and believe it or not it out of four-speed automatic it was rare too bad it got crushed
Thank you 😊 To bad about your car. Bet she was a beauty in her day
@@ninjapumkin she was red with black interior
Gotta love mopar
There's a good looking Mopar
Enjoyed!!!!
Over the moon you enjoyed it. Hoping next years will be bigger and with more videos

What a beautiful vehicle old school
Thank you. I appreciate it 😁
What a beauty 🙂
Appreciate it. Thank you
Nice car!!
Thank you very much. Appreciate it ☺️
The 64 Polara was my dad's family car back in the 60s. It was blue with a 318 with 2bl and automatic. It seemed pretty fast to me as a kid....can remember the sound of it dropping into passing gear when dad wanted to get around someone.
I also have fond memories of those days in the car travelling. Your dads car must have been a beauty in that colour
Just a FYI don't do your burnouts in the water box. Pull into the box, give them a spin if the box isn't real wet, pull out of the box and light them up. Doing your burnout in the box will sling water all up inside the wheel well and then drip all over the tires when you're staging. Nice 500! It was my first Mopar when I was 18. Black with black interior just like yours. Drove it to work every day, raced it on the weekends.
Thank you for the advise. Will definitely give that a try next spring. Appreciate the advise
I had a '65 Plymouth 426 Max Wedge Sport Fury for many years. Great car and very fast. My '67 426 Belvedere II was a POS.
The 65 sounds like a cool beast. Thank you for watching. I appreciate it
The sound was so loud it shakes the camera!
What track is that?
Rad Torque Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta
