I've been selected for both the Indian Navy through the CDS and the Indian Air Force (Flying Branch) through the AFCAT. I'm at a crossroads and need to make a decision. I'm excited about the flying opportunities in the Air Force, but I’m also drawn to the challenge of joining the MARCOS in the Navy. I’d love to hear your advice @rogerthatwithnkc on which option is more full of fun and challenges Also , Thank you for this fantastic podcast!

Good to see Thapa uncle after so many years! The people who think SG (4 Vikas) is SF are wrong. Yes it is Para SF heavy but not SF! The Tier one unit is PARA SF, MARCOS AND GARUD only !

Mahar Regiment has troops mostly from Maharashtra..Only some Units Are mixed(4,5,6,12,14)These units have all india all caste..Apart from These units other units Have recruits mostly from Maharashtra And Some Are Pure Mahar Units like(1,2,3,7,8,9,13).

I am also from 66 India via Ghorpuri. Being an Infantry officer myself i never understood what has all those hardships achieved for this nation. It must be integrated into a National effort . Although i adore the para troopers but you need to get a 360 degree view of sacrifices and Impact. Otherwise BSF and CRPF are superseding you. Dont make everything hard. Make it meaningful. It requires change of psyche. Otherwise our Officers and Men like Agniveers will get irrelevant. Thats how I feel

He’s my fathers batchmate in 9 para My dad retired in 2020 nov He was with him in op Pawan Srilanka Col Gurudatt shenoy . ask him I also met sir in 1st July at parachute regimental center mess in Hebbal . The mess had Portuguese chellovarioua type of machine guns and arms on display Damn it was amazing My dad told me stories of his operation in Jaffana .
