I will forever find the Moon-Darkstalker dynamic to be one of the best things in the WoF universe it’s SO COMPLICATED and I LOVE IT (aaalso Moon is my favorite lol)

it’s honestly a genius choice to change brokenstars design from the more conventional “horror/evil” design to a more sort of soulless look, with a face that looks permanent and painted on. Really hits home how he was predetermined to run shadowclan into the ground as punishment to yellowfang for breaking the code, and how he was never really his own cat.

I wonder what would've happened if Brokenstar got a different life alongside Yellowfang. After all, their circumstances aren't far from Leafpool and her kits except she had squirrelflight to help and so Yellowfang turned to the only one she knew. Lizardstripe. I’ve never seen the original beforehand but this is now my favorite Brokenstar video. Everything about it is so perfect, the unsettlingly uneasy yet somehow ethereal atmosphere, the simple yet wonderfully succinct designs, how disturbing this framing manages to be WITHOUT intense gore. It feels like a breath of fresh air where almost all other Brokenstar content really stresses the brutality and violence behind the storyline, this frames it as more an existential tragedy instead. Fitting considering Brokenstar’s birth was a purposeful curse bestowed upon the Clans, and he was doomed to be evil from the beginning due to forces beyond their control. Stunningly beautiful work!
