Installing a Geissele AR15 Trigger
Переглядів 16 тис.Рік тому
In this video I install a Geissele single stage precision trigger in my Daniel Defense DDM4V7 Rifle. The trigger is extremely light weight and smooth. To pull weight is about 3.5 Lbs.
LWRC IC DI, Best Ar for the money?
Переглядів 29 тис.Рік тому
Basic Overview of the LWRC IC DI and it’s features. I forgot to say it but it comes in at right around 6.5 Lbs. If you liked the video please be sure to like, share, and subscribe. I plan on doing more videos on other rifles, and gear.
Thank you brother Just watched this to install my SD-3G 🫡👏
Bought my first one for 1600, just bought another one for 1300. Honestly best direct impingment gun your ever gonna get.
About to get my lwrc in mlock rail man thing is beautiful with out crazzy price tag that dont make your eyes pop out
Great tutorial, definitely worked for me. Thank you!
Nice review.
Tungsten gray or burnt bronze what do you guys prefer?
Have you ever heard of a gun vise?
This video was so good I liked AND subscribed!
I went with the LWRC, it is a little heavier than others
I wanna be in debt is this the way or DD?
I would go with the lwrc.
I'm having the same problem but like 98 percent on lwrc look way better and that rounded part st the front of the mag well feels nice and rounded
@@alexmendez713 I like how LWRC looks but I went with a LMT MARS MRP haven’t shot it yet just got it
This looks like “burnt bronze” cerakote I thought patriot brown was more flat as opposed to a gloss (or semi gloss).
This looks like midnight bronze color
Hell yeah bro that thing is sick
Yeah it’s super dope!
Ive been looking for a complete 308 Lower for LWRC brand , do you know where i can find one? Love the Color BTW lol.
I am afraid I do not know of a website where they are offered.
Helpful
how come yours looks a little different where the screws are on the hand guard do you have a newer style or something
Yeah why does it have 2 screws instead of having 4 screws
What about the safety? How is it supposed to work/install correctly?
is this one gas or piston?
It’s a gas gun.
Is this the burnt bronze finish that it originally comes in?
Yes it is.
About to do the same, the mil spect is too heavy, Geissele really makes great triggers. It's nice to find a clean instruction like this. 👍
Yeah, I watched the video that Geissele released on how to install their triggers and I found it to be too long and did not have the camera angles I would have liked. Thanks for the comment! I love hearing feedback!
I have the piston 14.7 LWRC SPR. It’s now my go to. It’s just reliable. Never have a problem. When Shit hits the fan, the LWRC Will be in my hand.
Is the lower mil spec and can pair with any upper mil spec
I can almost guarantee the first time you install a new Geissele trigger it will not go quite as smooth or as fast as this video. It's not hard but when I installed my g2s it took about twice as long as it did when I installed the ssa-e. Then again the g2s didn't come with a slave pin I had the make one from a Q-tip. Great vid easy to follow instructions.
Thank you for the comment! I definitely had to practice quite a bit before I did this video. The hardest part was trying to talk/explain as I was doing the video lol. I swapped three triggers in my rifles yesterday and it was definitely not this fast.
Does this rifle have any rattles in the stock?
I don't know a lot and still learning. The Patriot brown is amazing looking, but what I wrestle with is colors that look awesome and still tactical. I feel that's what I'm trying to balance. Patriot brown looks stunning but would you consider it tactical? Just wanted to know your thoughts.
They make it in OD green. That would do better when coming to camouflage
Once it gets dirty in a outdoor/ woods environment it would probably start to blend better. I would say there are definitely better colors for a “tactical” environment. I have seen a person do a pretty good rattle can cammo job with this color/rifle that would do a great job in a woods environment.
lol, i remember my first IT job . . . I got the 12' o clock flasher but the ID 10 T but after I typed it out .. . lol back on topic, the AR . .. wow its easy . . . almost like taking the AR apart and removing the buffer spring. My DD came with the stock straight geissele trigger and I had bought a geissele trigger but the one installed in the v7 was better, so I returned it.
Excellent instructional video. I had to flip my selector switch to find the flat spot to get my trigger out. Sig 716i
Burnt bronze
Purchased this rifle a year or so ago. Mounted a Leopold 1-4 lpvo .with fire dot Patrol scope, can't say enough about this rifle. I've ran close to 300 rounds through it with out a single hickup. Outstanding. Lwrc makes serious business rifles. Wish I could afford thier Reaper.
Just bought my wife one of these guns in the od green color. The only thing I don’t like about the gun is the ambidextrous safety. I feel it on my right trigger finger kinda in the middle of the finger when safety is off. It slightly interferes because I feel something that I’m not used to feeling when shooting. I’m gonna look into getting right hand safety. Otherwise this gun is freaking sweet.
Logged in to say thank you for the tip about locking the hammer into place to insert the pin! My fingers are dead and I wish I would've saw this video first lmao. I should've wore eye protection too. x_o P.S. I had to remove the pistol grip and safety selector just to fit the Lightning Bow into my DDM4V7
This or a DDm4v7 ?
How is the stock LWRC trigger compared to say a Geiselle trigger?
It's very smooth due to the coating. Has the tiniest more weight when pulled, but you really can't tell a difference. I can't at least, unless I'm really focusing on it while trying to shoot out past 700 yards and even then it's feels good.
@@erod6468youve shot past 700 yards with a lwrc ic barrel?
@@seenochasm7101 well, like I said in my reply, "trying" to shoot that far. I've done decent and usually hit my gong out to those distances, but am no long shot pro by any stretch of the imagination. Just a bit of my input since that's the only time the trigger makes a difference to me compared to other AR's with a different trigger.
@@seenochasm7101 basically, the stock Lwrc trigger is pretty good.
I would say a Geissele is definitely be a better trigger but the LWRCI Is pretty adequate and better than other mil spec triggers I have used. Sorry for the late reply.
There’s 2 ‘categories’ of ARs: Mil spec and proprietary. When REPLACING parts..IT WILL matter.
Mil Spec BCG will work in the LWRC if needed. The only proprietary part would be the hand guard. Can’t see why you would want let alone need to change the hand guard though.
This was actually the only thing that went through my head when looking at a lwrc... Although very nice it did worry me about replacement parts etc. but where there's a will there's a way and I can't imagine this gun needs alotta parts.
LWRC is under rated compare to the competition. Another thing to note is that bolt release paddle is also a both catch as well, that way you can lock the bolt back from either side.
i dont think they are under rated. The community seems to know about Lwrc's quality.
@@Gchang54 not everyone, every and their mother always saying BCM or Daniel Defense. Daniel Defense know for quality barrel life (not saying LWRC DI are worst) beside that the term "Milspecs this, milspecs that" been throwing around loosely. I picked IC DI up for $1150 a few years ago and it def better than BCM or DDMV7 at the time.
Thanks.
Nice review! Daniel Defense is a great rifle, with great barrels, but they don't come close to LWRC's level. DD rifles would need to be about $500 cheaper, maybe more, to offer a similar value as you get with LWRC and even then I'd pick the LWRC every time.
Than why do Seals, Delta Force & All kind of Tier 1 operators pick DD? I know Green Berets that have extensively used the mk18 and they all have the same opinion. Daniel Defense.
@@intuitivefugitive8852 the military doesn’t chose their weapons based on quality alone.
@@intuitivefugitive8852because DD got the contract. Which is why they are more expensive to us. Doody rifles get hyped up too much.
@@intuitivefugitive8852because it’s all about money and contracts my friend.
@@intuitivefugitive8852by far the most popular rifle for former special operations/forces, SEALS, DELTA, etc choose BCM (I’m actually wearing a BCM shirt right now😂). Even Larry Vickers moved from DD (the company paying money) to BCM. Now was the 416 the best rifle for the job? No one will say yes. Any intellectually honest comparison btwn LWRC and DD has to side with the former. While the latter is more popular (especially bc of COD) more popular isn’t better.
What finish/color is on your AR? Is it “Patriot Brown”?
Nicely done! Thank you for sharing! I will be referring back to this once I get my new trigger! 👊🏼
Same rifle, for some reason I cannot get my trigger out
Thanks a lot Straight forward instructions and very easy to follow Keep it up man, you are doing great
I appreciate the feed back! Sorry for the late reply.
I really like your videos so far, thanks for making them! If you had to pick a favorite, which would you pick between your DD and the LWRC?
both
Sorry for the late reply. I think the LWRCI is better and more innovative for the money than my DDM4V7 or my DDM4V1. All are excellent rifles but the LWRCI has far more features. DD has brought out some very nice rifles since I made this video and they have some excellent ambi features but cost far more than the LWRC DI.
One of the better ARs I have ever purchased.
I have the DDM4A1, I ended up removing the safety selector to remove the stock trigger. Not sure how you managed to remove yours. Having said that, your video is very helpful.
I had the same experience on a new DDM4 V7. I believe the tiny screw in the safety is 1/16" if my memory is correct. Still only took 30 min.
I have been pretty lucky with not having to remove the safety selector from most of the rifles I have swapped triggers on. I have only had to remove the safety from a Christensen arms AR when trigger swapping. I have swapped triggers on multiple DD rifles and a Sig Spear 5.56 and didn’t have to remove the safety. Sorry for the late reply.
It looks like Bronze on video BEAUTIFUL COLOR ! I think that's the most beautiful color I've seen on any AR. Great feachers , the contoured upper, Ambi , mono gas key, twisted barrel, VERY NICE !
Thanks.
What’s the size of roll pin punch you used to push the pins? Thank you.
I am not sure of the exact size. The punch I used was one I had in a Otis cleaning kit for a 5.56 rifle.
The way those retention pins slipped into those through-holes makes me wonder if they walk easy under recoil or vibration...
They are actually very solid when installed. I have Geissele triggers in three of my rifles and have never had any problems with the pins walking out.
only need the anti walk / anti rotation for the single piece / cassette drop in trigger, as the one piece cassette fire control group doesn't have the spring and tension that regular 2 piece AR fire control group / trigger group has. TY for my LGS for education in AR -age.
very nice. thank you.
probably the best install video out there. Followed along and didn’t have to rewind or anything
Appreciate it, I am glad it helped!
@@professional-id10tcan you PLEASE a video of Geissele trigger into HK MR762? Thanks for taking time to read this and have a great day. P.S. Great video
