Hey CW, long time no see. I used to live next to your folks in key largo, on ave D. I meet you only a few times when you were visiting your folks, I used to help them out a tiny bit as I was into home repairs and such. We talked for a bit, you gave me a copy of your CD Legends and treasures. Great music, I was just listening to it this morning. I decided to look you up and see if you were still alive and kicking, ha. It appears you are alive and still playing music, congrats on that. Poco almost recruited Gram Parsons but he was with Columbia at the time. He apparently tool a strong dislike to Messina and kind of stole their sound for One Hundred Years From Now.

After the 1935 hurricane destroyed most of the tracks and huge waves knocked the train off the tracks, The State of Florida bought the railroad and surrounding land from Henry Flagler and converted it to a toll highway from Florida City to Key West.

I was just a baby girl when all these heartfelt soulful songs were written and performed by the one and only POCO. Paul Cotton you are such a musical genius. Barbados was one and still is one of my favorite songs. Rock on Paul Cotton! Kimie Girl:)

OMG, my fav place to visit! Love Key West & all,but I love Islamorada more! If you're ever there, you gotta eat at Chanticleir, and Hungry Tarpin (Chef Joseph's the man!) Holiday Isle looks great in the brochure,but isn't that nice.The Islander's a great resort. Anne's beach-<3<3<3!!!!!

For decades I had hundreds of records, but no turntable. This year I put together a vintage stereo and started playing vinyl again. The first record I played was "Good Feelin'." I just had to hear "Ride the Country" and "Early Times." You never hear them anymore. It was a truly spiritual experience for me. I felt as if I'd come home after 4 decades. Maybe early times were just a long time, but they were a good time to be alive. Thanks Paul for your art!

Everyone should enjoy this and the rest of the keys at least a couple of times in thier lives. we love it and keep going back.

Paul Cotton is one of my fav songwriters. He's not prolific, but when he puts one out they are at the minimum great, and many of 'em are masterpieces. Bad Weather, Heart of the Night, Indian Summer..

Great song Scott. I heard this recently on Radio Margaritaville and it really stuck with me. I have a lot of great memories for Key West, and this song makes me think of all the best ones.

Hey Echo Papa! Great to see this video up. Our family has been going down to the Keys for many years and always look up EP for one of the high points of our vacation. While this video is impressive it is only a taste of the actual experience. When you get home and tell your friends about the vacation your ultralight flight will be the one of the best times. Michael McCloud is one of my favorite singer songwriters EVER. any trip to key west is not complete without a trip to Schooner Wharf to hear him play one afternoon, with a cool drink served by Smithers or Missy at the bar, and a plate of key west "pinks" shrimp......

So looking forward to all that's yet to come from Paul Cotton. This legendary guitarist-singer-songwriter never disappoints, whether the work is live, or recorded, I'm in it for the long haul. The Illinois Speed Press reunion cruise, that he speaks of in this interview, happened in March 2010, and he and Kal David were outstanding. For the past 4 decades, Paul has been Poco's lead guitarist and vocalist, as well as, writing 50% of that band's catalogue. His solo work speaks for itself.

The best Scott has done! I would now like to see him perform live! Being in Western Canada and having done my scuba instructors in Flordia 10 years ago I really have to go to the Keys to see him play and enjoy Flordia!
